Pakistan, War on terrorism

A great civilization is not conquered from outside until it has destroyed itself from within

If we are not willing to evolve ourselves according to ever changing world we will vanished as many great civilizations have been vanished

President Parver Musharf should have done it long time ago . Still its not too late . Now Pakistans war against extremism entered in to its decisive faze one side is modern and moderate Pakistan and other side Talbanzation of Pakistan

For some people it would be crisis in Pakistan ,in nations history crisis do come , leaders have to take "painful decisions" . From last 8 years President Musharf is doing good to bring moderation to Pakistan . Now time has arrived to eliminate this extremism with heavy hands.

For some people it would be crisis in Pakistan ,in nations history crisis do come , leaders have to take "painful decisions" . last 8 years President Musharf did good to bring moderation to Pakistan . Now time has arrived to eliminate this extremism with heavy hands Pakistan army is doing its job well , but one thing still rattling in mind of peoples that if govt. knew that an operation is on its way , and knew that there will be displacement of peoples . Why government couldn't anticipate the problems ahead Or government just want to exploit the situation to make some dollars out of this misery.

After operation we must not forget to invest in these areas to create jobs and improve theirs life style . This task would be more effective and log lasting then any military Action

Slumdog Millionaire filmmaker Danny Boyle has bought a new apartment for child star Azharuddin Mohammed Ismail after he was left homeless following the demolition of his shanty home in Mumbai, India.

The director and the movie's producers plucked Ismail, 10, and his co-star Rubina Ali, nine, from impoverished obscurity to appear in the Oscar-winning film and established the Jai Ho Trust last year to help fund their education.

But the kids' plight has captured headlines in recent weeks after both children's families were booted out of their homes and forced to live on the streets of India by local authorities.

Boyle and producer Christian Colson flew into Mumbai this week to see how they could help the young stars.

And after meeting with several of the film's stars at the private lounge of the city's Jw Marriott hotel on Tuesday, Boyle announced he's purchased a new home for Ismail and is planning to do the same to put a roof over Ali's head too.

Boyle says, "The homes are a concern. That is one of the reasons why we built the trust."

A spokesman for the Jai Ho Trust describes Ismail's new apartment as "comfortable, in a good neighbourhood (and) near his school", with the property costing "upwards of two million rupees" (£28,000).

Nearly 1.5 million people have been displaced by this month's fighting in the north-western region, and about two million since last August, the UN's refugee agency says.

There is a woman in Swat
Scraping for pearls on the roadside
There's a force stronger than nature
Keeps her will alive
This is how she's dying
She's dying to survive
Don't know what she's made of
I would like to be that brave

She cries to the heaven above
There is a stone in my heart
She lives a life she didn't choose
And it hurts like brand-new shoes

There is a woman in Swat
The sun gives her no mercy
The same sky we lay under
Burns her to the bone
Long as afternoon shadows
It's gonna take her to get home
Each grain carefully wrapped up
Pearls for her little girl

Bhangra Blast 98

It is sometimes in May 98 , India has blasted nuclear blast , Indian tone is completely changed , rather then peace they talking war now , even news of elimination of Pakistan with one strike are coming, whole world is worry , how Pakistan going to react on this , because everyone in world know Pakistan is capable of doing the same

It didn't took us very long ,whole world want us not to do it, YES 28th of May "my happiest day of my life " despite all threats of sanction we did it . PM of that time said " tough time is ahead we must prepare ourselves for hunger and shortage of everything " it is 6am in morning I am fast a asleep my wife is getting ready to go to work while watching TV, she shook to wake up and said Pakistan has done it' hastily get out of bed watched the news .I was so happy I wanted to share it with my friend I rang all of my close friends congratulated them regardless of time ' couldn't sleep, after that one thought was ringing in why my mind-"this is not enough" we should do more , we should celebrate it with whole community .I wrote a latter to Prim Minister admired his courageous decision with quote

Next week a meeting took place in my place to lay out the celebration plan and funds , instantly we had $800 , which was good enough for one dish party function', we named it BHANGRA BLAST

We had to delay the function because of recent death in community

Then another death of mother's of our close friend MALIK SOHAIL (in oz now) one of the main volunteer organizer of BHANGRA BLAST, he had to leave, we though we might have to face another delay . I proud of my friend Malik .he said death of my mother is my personal matter. BHANGRA BLAST is national pride " show must go on"

In end of June we were able to do BHANGRA BLAST,

There were both type of people in this party some who were against the nuclear blast , but most of them were happy and in celebration mood

PANZ of that time was against the idea of BHANGRA , but they were favour of function

Right in middle of Bhangra TV crew arrived , they start asking question to kids and adults that, why we are gathered here , most of the kids said we here to celebrate nuclear blast some said we are against blast , focus point was Kashmir

in interview with TV Taquir Khan said no body like nuclear blast but today "everyone is happy because we are competing with India"

They asked me question." what do you think people. of NZ. will think who enjoy nuclear free status"

I replied " New Zealand should not mind it Because NZ is lucky country which don’t have enemies like us"

On other hand community leader were telling the TV that this is only a one dish party, we are here to educate our people about latest development in Sub continent

Bhangra Blast was good entertainment . Every able men participated in Bhangra dance which was the core of the Paul Home show

My wife was only lady who did Bhangra to share the happiness with us

The Story of Heer Ranjha

Heer Saleti is an extremely beautiful woman, born into a wealthy [[Jatt]] family of the |Sayyal] clan. [[Ranjha]] (whose first name is Dheedo; Ranjha is the surname), also a Jatt, is the youngest of four brothers and lives in the village Takht Hazara by the river Chenab. Being his father's favorite son, unlike his brothers who had to toil in the lands, he led a life of ease playing the flute (wanjhli). After a quarrel with his brothers over land, Ranjha leaves home. In Waris Shah's version of the epic, it is said that Ranjha left his home because his brothers' wives refused to give him food. Eventually he arrives in Heer's village and falls in love with her. Heer offers Ranjha a job as caretaker of her father's cattle. She becomes mesmerised by the way Ranjha plays his flute (Wanjhli/[[Bansuri]]) and eventually falls in love with him. They meet each other secretly for many years until they are caught by Heer's jealous uncle, Kaido, and her parents Chuchak and Malki. Heer is forced by her family and the local priest or [[mullah]] to marry another man called Saida Khera.
Ranjha is heartbroken. He is left to walk the quiet villages on his own until eventually he meets a Jogi (ascetic). On finding Gorakh at [[Tilla Jogian]] (probably the shrine of the saint, [[Gorakhnath|Baba Gorakhnath]], who was the founder of the "Kanphata"(pierced ear) sect of ascetics('Jogis')), Ranjha voluntarily becomes a Jogi, piercing his ears and renouncing the material world. Reciting the name of the Lord, "[[Alakh Niranjan]]", on his travels around the Punjab, he eventually finds the village where he is reunited with Heer.
The two return to Heer's village, where Heer's parents agree to their marriage. However, on the wedding day, Heer's jealous uncle Kaido poisons her food so that the wedding will not take place. Hearing this news, Ranjha rushes to aid Heer, but he is too late, as she has already eaten the poison and died. Brokenhearted once again, Ranjha takes the poisoned [[Laddu]] which Heer has eaten and dies by her side.
Heer and Ranjha are buried in a Punjabi town called [[Jhang]], [[Punjab (Pakistan)|Punjab]]. Lovers and others often pay visits to their mausoleum.

A letter from PANZ

My dear fellow  Brothers and Sisters

As you all know that by the grace of Allah, we have started reviving our activities under the banner of Pakistan Association, only to gather our community on one platform and do needed jobs.

Alhamdolillah, so far we have conducted 2 programs and a 3rd one is going to be conducted this month. The children will deliver speeches and food stall will also be there.

So as to carry on, we need little cooperation from our brothers and sisters as under:

  • Attend the gathering in good numbers and inform others as well
  • Contribute whatever they can on monthly basis even if it is a dollar
  • Email / Post suggestions so as to improve programs
  • Email us email contact of friends, whom you know

Today is the 1st of May and we should start contribution on a Monthly basis with full confidence to have access to PANZ accounts whenever you like. The efforts for website are under way and inshaallah soon we will launch that.

We intend to bring a Magazine out before Independence Celebrations, highlighting our STARS, performing in NZ, Inshaallah. ( I am obliged to Brother Qaiser Rasheed of North Shore, for giving such valuable suggestions like this).

I would request on behalf of PANZ to you all to come forward and make a difference. Our bank account # is

Kindly forward this to anyone whom you know.
