PANZ Election 2010

PANZ Election 2010

As PANZ election beagle has been blown , it is time for interested parties to come up and do their home work , first of all we have to look in to membership of PANZ , as only members can vote , to new or renew your membership a form need to be filled and attached with right fee.

Sohni Dharti suggests, that next coming function can be used as an opportunity to increase the membership,

One more suggestion, if you don’t have time for communities please don’t come near to serve the community, keep one other thing in your mind this a volunteer job

Eid On Eid Day . Is it a Good Idea?

if it is then click the POLL in task bar.

Christians didn't get extravagant festive ideas from their scriptures, just as Muslims didn't get the no-fun philosophy from theirs. It's all made up later. Why, Christians even made up Christ's date of birth for collective convenience.

And they haven't even tried to be original with their objects of celebration. The Norway trim tree is European rather than Middle Eastern.

And it became a mass practice to decorate a tree in or outside one's house in anticipation of Christmas only a couple of hundred years ago.

Jews have their Hanukkah, the Festival of Light, Hindus have their Diwali when they light up and paint complicated natural patterns outside their front door, Sikhs have their Besakhi when they beat drums and dance around bonfires...

Why can't we make up something nice for our prime festival? Something fun for the whole family, whole community? Can't we use some light, colours, songs, games, stories? Anything that's cheerful and most people can join in.

The religious part of Ramadan and Eid is personal, so keep it within you.

The festival part can only work if it's a collective celebration. So let's talk about it. If Eid means anything to you, does the day make you feel a part of the celebration?

What is your Eid like? What would you like it to be?

Instead of inviting friends and families at home for feast, going to friends and family, day gets over by visiting one are two visits. Why not Eid Milan on Eid day,? .Where we can gather, meet and greet our nears and dears under one roof , it can be a one dish Party, we bring what we cook at home on Eid day

Al Qur'an: And give to the orphans their property, and do not substitute worthless (things) for (their) good (ones), and do not devour their property (as an addition) to your own property; this is surely a great crime.  (Chapter #4, Verse #2)

AlQur'an: (As for) those who swallow the property of the orphans unjustly, surely they only swallow fire into their bellies and they shall enter burning fire.  (Chapter #4, Verse #10)

Muslim translation : Abu Huraira reported that Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) said: One who looks after the orphan whether he is his relative or not, I and he would be together in Paradise like this, and Malik (explained it) with the gesture by drawing his index finger and middle finger close together .  (Book #042, Hadith #7108)

Police stations for sale

Key and Collins in a mess over Police stations closures

  Thursday, September 3, 2009 11:30

Prime Minister John Key and Police Minister Judith Collins are all over the place on plans to sell off police stations, Labour law and order spokesman Clayton Cosgrove says.

Mr Key and Ms Collins, under pressure yesterday, came up with a confused and contradictory set of responses to information released in secret official papers that the Police have been working since February on plans to sell off police stations and houses, Mr Cosgrove said.

“First of all Mr Key claimed it was an ‘operational matter’ for Police to deal with, despite the cuts being forced on the Police by a government-ordered line by line review.

“Then Ms Collins had to acknowledge she had been aware of the plans for seven months.

“Later, Ms Collins said she was actually opening stations, not closing them – only to admit on the radio this morning that the five stations she had opened since the election had been funded and built under Labour, and she had simply cut the ribbon.

“Later still, Mr Key said the sell-off would be restricted to police houses, only for police to say that all police property was potentially on the block.

“Police also corrected Mr Key’s false assertion that police ‘holiday homes’ could be put up for sale. The NZ Police does not own holiday homes so has none to sell.

“This whole saga has revealed the high-levels of spin, confusion and poor communication that exist at the heart of this government. The left hand and right hand do not know what each other are doing,” Clayton Cosgrove said.

“This is creating large amounts of uncertainty in our communities. People do not know how many police stations are being earmarked for closure and sell-off, just as they are now beginning to see the impacts on their communities from the Government-ordered chopping of 340 cars from the police car fleet,” Clayton Cosgrove said.

Pakistani Community is better. Now we have to prove that here in NZ

This should be the role of a community. Can we also do that ?
