CHAKWAL SEPTEMBER, 3. Additional Director
Anti-Corruption Establishment Rawalpindi ordered an
inquiry against the alleged corruption of Assistant
Sub Inspector Saddar Police Station Chakwal Tariq Bin
Aziz and he directed the District Police Officer
Chakwal to submit the inquiry report earliest.  Sher
Ali resident of Village Dhab Loharan lodged a
complaint and alleged that the said ASI had received
rupees 3300 for registration of FIR against the
accused and no after getting the bribe he made
collaboration with the accused and reluctant to arrest
them and even more he threatened the dismiss the FIR.
Sher Ali pleaded that the gave this statement on oath
that the ASI had received 3300 rupees from him. 

CHAKWAL SEPTEMBER, 3. District Nazim Chakwal Sardar
Ghulam Abbas has said that the new system of District
Governments is gaining roots among the masses and now
the problems of the people is to be solved at the
district, tehsil and Union Council level through their
elected representatives.  He was addressing a big
public gathering at Village Khara on its
electrification some 30 kilometer from here.  District
Nazim was of the view that the development projects of
more then four billion rupees have been started from
the last two years in District Chakwal and most of
them have been completed while the others are under
progress.  He maintained that the foundation of a
silent revolution was laid in District Chakwal and now
the people are opposing their confidence on this new
system.  He said that in the coming years this
District Government system will further be improved
and the participation of the people in the corridors
of power will be made ensured.  District Nazim further
told that in this new system for the first time in the
56 years history, the mighty bureaucracy was made pure
public servant and there unnecessary powers had been
curtailed to provide maximum relief to the common
people. 

CHAKWAL SEPTEMBER, 3. The former Zonal Chief of
Allied Bank Chakwal Zone Ch: Riaz Hamyun died of
cardiac arrest.  He was 65.  He was laid to rest at
Pir Bukhari graveyard and his last funeral attended by
the people from all walks of life.

Rebuttal of false and motivated media allegations that Pakistan helped Iran's nuclear programme.

 

Denials by both Foreign Ministers, are given below. 

 

Item 1. Brief remarks of both the Foreign Ministers.

 

Pakistan Foreign Minister

We expressed concern over false and inaccurate reports in the media alleging that Pakistan had transferred sensitive nuclear technology to Iran. These reports were part of a malicious smear campaign against Pakistan and Iran.

 

          Pakistan’s position on this issue is based on the following elements:

 

 

쨌        Pakistan supports the right of Iran to develop its peaceful nuclear programme, concomitant to its adherence of its obligations under the arms control and disarmament agreements that it is party to.

  

쨌        Pakistan holds that any doubts or disagreements that may arise regarding the implementation of obligations undertaken by States through such arms control and disarmament agreements, should be peacefully resolved through the mechanisms for dispute settlement laid down in the concerned agreements/treaties. Pakistan is opposed to coercive measures. 

 

 

쨌        We note that the latest IAEA report acknowledges the increased cooperation of Iran, including Iran’s decision to begin negotiations with the IAEA on an Additional Protocol,  and we would like that any remaining issues will be solved during the forthcoming IAEA Board of Governors meeting in Vienna next month, and within the context of continuing IAEA – Iran cooperation.

 

 

쨌        Pakistan has never supplied in any manner whatsoever any assistance for Iran’s nuclear programme.  The Foreign Minister of Iran has also stated in our talks that such media allegations are completely false and obviously motivated.

CHAKWAL SEPTEMBER, 2. DIG Rawalpindi Range promoted
four Assistant Sub Inspector of District Chakwal at
the rank of Sub Inspector and their notification have
been issued.  Those who were promoted to Sub Inspector
are Tariq Bin Aziz of Saddar Police Station Chakwal,
Syed Ghulam Abbas Shah of Kallar Kahar Police Station,
Ch: Sarfraz Khan of Tamman Police Station and Muhammad
Ashraf of Rescue 15.  All the four said Police
officials have been crowned at the new rank. 

CHAKWAL SEPTEMBER, 2. Prize scheme of PEPSI Cola was
a fraud and a winner a retired Sub Inspector Mehboob
Hussain Shah whose lucky number 067 was announced on
Television and rupees 10 million prize was announced
but when he went to collect his prize he was asked to
go Rawalpindi and from Rawalpindi he was advised to
collect his prize from Gujranwala and from the last 34
days he had become a rolling stone.  Mehboob Hussain
Shah filed a civil suite in the court of Senior Civil
Judge Chakwal and the learned court ordered a stay
order against the administration of PEPSI Cola.  The
learned judge ordered notice to the respondent for
12th September and directed that the prize money
claimed by the petitioner on the basis of token no 067
dated 26th July be not distributed to any person
without hearing and settling the claim of the
petitioner. 

CHAKWAL SEPTEMBER, 2. A ten years old girl was
sexually assaulted at Village Waryamal in the area of
Saddar Police Station some 12 kilometer from here.
The mother of the victim lodged a report in the Police
Station that the accused Tauseef Ahmad who is the son
of Sub Inspector Sindh Police took her daughter to the
farm field and where he rapped her.  After medical
examination of the victim at District Headquarter
Hospital Chakwal sexually assault was proved, Police
registered a case of Hadood Ordinance against the
accused and started investigation. 

CHAKWAL SEPTEMBER, 2. Chakwal Police recovered
illicit arms from the four accused and registered
separate against them.  Kallar Kahar Police recovered
30 bore pistol from Muhammad Amir resident of Village
Walana, Choa Saiden Shah Police recovered 32 bore
pistol from the accused Saqleen Hussain resident of
Village Jhaik while Abrar Hussain resident of Village
Maghal was booked as 30 bore pistol was recovered from
him while a 30 bore pistol was also recovered form the
accused Tassawar Hussain.  All the accused were sent
to the judicial lockup.

CHAKWAL Sep 1. Hundred of journalists from
Rawalpindi division on Sunday came out on the road and
they staged a protest rally and demanded immediate
arrest of the killer of Pindadankhan based Raja Ejaz
Ahmad who was murdered some 15 days ago and police has
not yet traced out the culprits. The rally started
from Chakwal press club and it was led by president of
divsinonal union of journalist Kh. Baber Saleem and
Sec. Gen. Nadeem Raza Khan Attock. The participants
were carrying banner and playcards and slogans against
Jhelum police and Punjab government were inscribed.
They are full shouted slogen and demanded immediate
arrest of killer of Raja Ejaz Ahmad. The rally march
on the various roads ending at Bhoun Chowk Chakwal,
the jounaist also wore black stripes on their
shoulder. Earlier a protest meeting was also held at
Chakwal press club and it was addressed by Yousaf Naz,
Muhammad Khan Aqil, Tariq Paracha, Basar Khokhar,
Abdullah Asif, Nadeem Raza Khan, Akhtar Arain, Abdul
Sitar Azad, Raja Muhammad Javid, Mian Muhammad
Naqashbandi, Chairman press club Fahim Akhtar Butt and
Kh. Baber Saleem. The speaker criticized the role of
Jhelulm police and dispite the assurance of DIG
Rawalpindi range Sh. Aqrar Ahamd that the killer of
the Raja Ejaz Ahmad will be arrested very soon as not
yet materialized and it speaks itself the law and
order situation in Punjab province. A resolution was
adopted unanimously and it was demanded that if the
killer of Raja Ejaz Ahmad were not apprehended then
the jourlaist community will made stage in front of
Punjab Assembly as well as in front of parliament at
Islamabad. The journalist community from all over the
four district of Rawalpinid division, Chakwal, Jhelum,
Attock and Rawalpindi ended the protest meeting and
protest rally.

CHAKWAL Sep 1. Federal Minister for information
Sh. Rashed Ahmad said that dispit the high handedness
and brutul killing at Kashmir, Palestine, Bosnia,
Chachina, and Iraq but still these lands had a similar
slogan of Nara-e-Takbeer Allah Akbar which is common
among the muslim community and now the time has come
that muslim ummah should put aside all their
differences and it should be united at a common
plate-form. He was addressing a big public gathering
of Mahfal-e-Nat at village Tatral some four KM from
here on Saturday night. The Mahfal-e-Nat was presided
over by renowned religious figure Pir Naqib Ur Rehman
while parliamentary secretary Ch. Ejaz Hussain Farhat
was also present on this occasion. More than 10
thousand men and women from all over the area attended
this spiritual meeting. The minister was of the view
that he himself is a big sinner but due to the prayer
of some religious people, the doors of the masoulum
Prophet  Muhammad (PBUH) were opened thrice for him
and it is a great privilege for him. The minister was
of the view that Islamic Umah can be successful only
if it should adopt the teaching of Prophet Muhammad
(PBUH). Mahfal-e-Nat started after the Isha prayer and
it remained continued till 3:00 A.M. The renowned
naatkhwan participated in this mahfal-e-naat.

Namaze Janaza of Farrukh

The Namaz-e-Janaza of Farrukh Rashid, a Pakistani national who died of severe head injuries yesterday night will be held in Almustafa Mosque 26 Mangere Road Otahuhu on 02/09/03 (Tuesday) immediately after Maghrab Prayer. Farrukh was hit by a car on Franklin Road Ponsonby Auckland. All members of Pakistani community are requested to attend the funeral prayer and pray God to bless the deceased an eternal place in the paradise.

Donations for sending the dead body back to his home town Quetta will be welcome at the prayer venue. This will also help in making the already existing Funeral Fund steady and stable.
The dead body is scheduled to be sent to Quetta on Wednesday afternoon.

A Pakistani Dies in Auckland

This is to inform all the community members that Farrukh Rashid resident of 299A Rangatiri Rd, Beachheaven and national of Pkistan (Quetta-Blochistan) has died of a road accident (Franklin Rd Pansonby) yesterday night. He was a driver in Co-Op taxi with Cab No. 467.Pakistan Association of New Zealand got the accident news about 9`0 clock in the evening and Shahid Azad VP PANZ along with other volunteers reached the Auckland Hospital within 20 minutes after that and remained there until late midnight. Farrukh Rashid passed away at 2:40 am. Pakistan Association of New Zealand hopes all the community will stand together in this time of this tragedy and will act with appropriate measures and dignified spirit. We are in contact with Farrukh family back in Pakistan and are working further details for Namaze Janaza and sending the dead body back to Pakistan.

CHAKWAL AUGUST, 31. No confidence motion will be
presented against Naib Nazim of Union Council Miani on
1st September and 13 councilors took oath that will
remain united and general councilor Malik Sultan will
be their leader.  The meeting of these councilors was
held at Kallar Kahar on Saturday and those councilors
who participated in the meeting were Malik Sultan,
Malik Iftikhar Chillah, Raja Azhar Hussain, Altaf
Haider, Malik Nazar Hussain, Malik Ghulam Hasnain,
Malik Muhammad Nazir, Malik Sher Khan, Safia Begum and
Sagheeran Begum.  All the 13 councilors leveled some
serious allegations against Naib Nazim Malik Safdar
Hussain and the councilor told that he had spent
rupees five Lac development funds at his own village
and when the councilors objected he become rude and
misbehave with the lady councilors.  The 13 councilors
claimed that they had the support of two other lady
councilors Zarina Begum and Zainab Bibi who did turn
up today due to a death of their close relative. 

CHAKWAL AUGUST, 31. The protest hunger strike camp
entered into fourth day at Chakwal Press Club and
twelve journalists observed hunger strike on Saturday
and again they demanded the arrest of the killers of
Pind Dadan Khan based journalist Raja Ejaz Ahmad.  The
Police was failed to trace out the killer as twelve
days have been passed.  The journalist bore black
bands on their arms and those who attended the hunger
strike camp were Safi-ud-Din Safi, Ishaq Hasrat, Malik

CHAKWAL AUGUST, 31. An ASI of Punjab Police and his
brother were booked by Kallar Kahar Police as they man
handled SDO WAPDA Kallar Kahar on Saturday.  SDO
lodged a report in Kallar Kahar Police Station that
when he went to inspect the meter of Safdar Hussain at
Village Sar Kalan his brother Akhtar Hussain who was
an ASI in Punjab Police appeared on screen and he
started abusing SDO and not only man handled him but
also threatened of dire consequences.  Kallar Kahar
Police registered a case against the accused and
started investigation.
