Today, about 60 cars join the car rally on call of PANZ to mark the Pakistan day, all cars were decorated with PAK and NZ flags and PAKIWI posters, car rally started from White Sawn, to Dominion Rd and Queen St, Parnnel, and Manaku Rd, end up in White Sawn Rd it was a well organised rally, and a good introduction of Pakistani flag to NZ, it was good to see that few Pakistani came all the way from Hamilton to join the rally, at the end Shahid Azad thanks to all participants for making this rally successful, at the end of the rally PANZ have had arrangements of light refreshments
NZ-Pak Friendship Rally was held today amid lot of patriotic notes. Despite being working day more than 60 Cars rolled on Auckland roads with Pakistan and New Zealand flags waving in the air. We are truly thankful to those who spared themselves for this event and expressed their love for their roots and chosen home. The Rally Controller led and managed the rally in well disciplined manner while participants themselves showed great eager and commitment to discipline. The Rally passed through Stoddard, Dominion, Queen Street, Parnell, New Market and Mt. Albert. The route was already approved by City Council. We will continue to make Pak presence significant in multicultural New Zealand by adopting different strategies.
Pakistan Association of New Zealand is indebted to all those who take time out of their daily routine and become a helping hand in arranging community activities. We are also grateful to the sponsors who make our resources strong and stable that helps us making things easy and continue our efforts of building the community infrastructure.
