Elections for choosing Pak community representatives for session 2005-2006 are going to be held shortly. Executive Committee Pakistan Association of New Zealand has extended the last day of filing nomination papers upto 9 January 2004. Those who are interested in contesting elections must file their nominations by the end of extended date. This is third call for election from PANZ , it look like public have last the faith in PANZ leaders, or those GABAR GHHANs of community are waiting for who would be first, then we will see all GABAR GHHANs would be in the field, according to Sohni Dharti survey most of the people think they do all the running around for votes and get succeeded by power of vote but these three executive who do not have roots in public and don’t have mandate of community still have the power to dissolve the Elected body of PANZ which is against the essences democracy, some says probably that’s why out going PANZ did not bother to floating people as they did during the last elections and it is shameful that now we have 60 members (may be) instead of 948
