            26-27 March, 2010 
 

      H.E. Syed Ibne Abbas, High Commissioner for Pakistan will be in Palmerston North for a two-day official visit on 26-27 March, 2010.  

      The High Commissioner during his stay will call on Hon. Steve Maharey, Vice Chancellor, Massey University. He will also attend 2010 Festival of Cultures at Palmerston North on 27 March. 

      Pakistan-New Zealand Friendship Association Palmerston North chapter on 26 March, 2010 will host the High Commissioner to meet the community members.

      A flag hoisting ceremony on the auspicious occasion of the National Day of Pakistan will be held at the Pakistan High Commission as follows:-

Subject:- H.E. Syed Ibne Abbas High Commissioner for Pakistan

            presents Credentials. 

      His Excellency Syed Ibne Abbas, High Commissioner for Pakistan today presented credentials to The Sir Anand Satyanand, Governor General, in Wellington. The credential ceremony was held at the Vogel house, residence of the Governor General. On that occasion, a traditional Maori challenge and Hongi ceremony was also held to welcome the High Commissioner in New Zealand. 

The Hon. Governor General welcoming the High Commissioner expressed the hope that Syed Ibne Abbas’s stay in New Zealand would prove to be fruitful to enhance ties between the two countries.  

Thanking the Governor General for the warm reception, High Commissioner conveyed best wishes from the President and Prime Minister of Pakistan to the Governor General, the government and people of New Zealand.  The High Commissioner pledged to work diligently towards further strengthening the friendly relations of Pakistan - New Zealand.  

The Governor General also hosted a luncheon in the High Commissioner’s honour. 

Pakistan and New Zealand enjoy friendly and cordial relations. To concretize these relations, Pakistan High Commission was established at Wellington in May, 2006. Syed Ibne Abbas is the second High Commissioner of Pakistan to New Zealand.

(On the occasion of Kashmir Solidarity Day 5^th February, 2010) 
 

We observe the Kashmir Solidarity Day each year on 5^th February to reiterate our political, moral and diplomatic support for the just and legitimate struggle of our Kashmiri brothers and sisters for the realization of their right to self determination. This right is enshrined in the UN Charter and relevant UN Resolutions. 

Kashmir Solidarity Day is also an occasion to pay tributes to the brave people of Jammu and Kashmir for their heroic sacrifices and for their steadfast resolve to realize their just aspirations. 

I wish to reassure my Kashmiri brethren that Pakistan remains firmly committed to finding a just and peaceful solution of the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir and for full respect for their fundamental rights. 

Pakistan would persist in its efforts for seeking a peaceful resolution of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute. We are of the firm belief that the Kashmiris should be associated with the Dialogue process. Ultimately, Kashmiris would be the final arbiters of their destiny. 

I reiterate to our Kashmiri brothers and sisters our pledge that they have our full moral, diplomatic and political support. We shall stand always with them in their just struggle.

Message on the

occasion of Kashmir Solidarity Day 5^th February, 2010

The people of Pakistan observe the Kashmir Solidarity Day on 5^th February every year to demonstrate their unequivocal support for the valiant struggle of the people of Jammu and Kashmir to achieve their legitimate right to self determination in accordance with the UN Resolutions. It is a reaffirmation of our firm resolve to stand by our Kashmiri brethren in their endeavour to decide their own fate. 

The Kashmiri struggle spans over more than six decades. Generations of Kashmiris have grown up in Indian Occupied Kashmir in the shadow of oppression and violence perpetrated by the Indian occupation forces. They have lost their homes, friends and families. Yet they have not lost hope and have remained steadfast in their quest for their inalienable right of self determination. 

Today, as we observe the Kashmir Solidarity Day, our hearts go out to the families of more than ninety thousand Kashmiris who have scarified their lives in upholding the ideals of freedom and liberty. We pay tribute to the sacrifices made by the Kashmiri people. The sacrifices will not go in vain. 

Pakistan assures the Kashmiri people of its firm resolve to work steadfastly for the realization of their fundamental rights. 

It is our hope and expectation that the International community would also play its role in bringing an end to repression, violence and human rights violations of the Kashmiri people. 

I reassure our Kashmiri brothers and sisters of Pakistan’s continued and unflinching moral, diplomatic and political support for their just cause.

Responsibilities and Our High Commission Of Pakistan

Eid Millan with Pakistani Team was great party , few families from Auckland do the distances to attend and appreciate the Pakistani Team , Pak Aucklanders were welcomed by MP Dr Ch . Asharf . Although Pakistani Team could not win this test mach , that’s sports , winning or losing is part of it , as long they have put up a good game .

But this was not appreciated by acting high commission , in address to dinner party she heavily scrutinized and criticized Pakistan team and said it is there responsibility to win .

She was telling Pakistan Team off for not wining and telling them their responsibilities , does she know her responsibilities?, does she knows what time and what day them is arriving? , wasn't’t her responsibility to welcome the heroes?

In reply, team couch Intakhab Alam, said team did it best to win , losing is part of game as well

Account Opened

It is good to see Pakistan high commission has opened account for victims of Swat valley . Although it is bit late but still not too late. Late in sense that time is flying .Pakistan university Students collected about $4000, one of them has already gone to effected area Said senior member and VIP of community . , where , this money will be use by him or by Jamat Islami.

Not too late in sense that business community is holding theirs $6400 may be more ,

Sohni Dharti is doing its part by sanding TXT message to all Pakistani in our Data.
