Who Cares

This 3rd warning we are receiving from former Gs of PANZ. It seems PANZ of Waqar's era did not full filing its obligations. This means this means we don’t have past record of our community or we don’t want to keep the record because it can uncovered that where PANZ was standing that time , what PANZ had , like sound system and who supported PANZ and who owes and how much. Record still sitting with Imtiaz Khan, PANZ is not interested in community history . If we are not into history then we will be history soon.

We request recent PANZ to take some action to collect this valuable recorded document , which , actually is our identity in NZ.

These text messages by Imtiaz Khan I have received today

1)If da stuff not picked up today current panz executives and cabinet with previous panz gs and president will b responsible.

2)I been requesting da ex panz cabinent and current panz cabinet many times to take da panz files and property from my office but no one bothered to took it today da last day in our current office and i m on bed due to my spinal surgery and cant carry that stuff with me.if its not picked 4pm to 5pm today then i have no choise but to put it out side da door.remember its got important members data and current panz with previous panz gs president will b responsible

The show has now begun in the political stage of Pakistan.

The honeymoon between PPP and PML-N is not going to last for a long time.At present there common enemy is President Musharraf and once that issue will resolve or if it resolves than these politicians will start their own fight and bitter relations and in the end we will be back to square one.

It is no surprise that after so many weeks passing by the winning party has not been able to select a prime minister yet.It is height of selfishness that Zardari who is in king making position wants to be KING himself

Sharif is waiting for the right time to get full control So the chances are Pakistan is in for big trouble and their past explains it all We will be in position of " OTHHAR TUM ETHHAR HUM" get ready for worst

This what someone said some where Some one make you fool once Shame on them. Someone make you fool twice shame on you.

Above mentioned I wrote months ago , now same article with different caption , 10% to cent percent

Wusat ullah Khan - Lovely Article

An well written article by Wusat ullah Khan of BBC

Marriage Went Up in Smoke

This marriage went up in smoke
Arab News

MADINAH: A marriage lasted two days, which was approximately how long the wife could hide her smoking habit from her newly wedded husband. According to the Albilad daily, the wife had hidden her nasty habit from her hubby until she suffered migraines — a common withdrawal symptom among regular smokers who quit — on the second day of her married life. When she finally admitted to her husband that she smoked, and that she wanted him to run to the corner shop to pick up a packet of cigarettes, the husband went ballistic. He divorced on the spot, drove her back to her family and demanded his dowry back. Perhaps, next time the man will do better homework before getting married.

The Game Is Over

Game Is Over For RAW, CIA & Their Collaborators In Zardari Govt

Rehman Malik’s private security firm has close ties to the British intelligence. Zardari’s government has cut funding for our nuclear and missile research and recruitment, which means bright young Pakistanis can’t be hired anymore.  Pakistanis should know that this elected government is surrendering on our nuclear program, is surrendering on our ISI, and has joined American and Indian plans for Pakistan and the region. This is a sellout on a grand scale.

By SHIREEN MAZARI
Thursday, 7 August 2008.

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan—Despite numerous hiccups and tactical errors such as the sending of our old centrifuges to the IAEA, successive governments of Pakistan stood their ground on the nuclear issue – especially in terms of protecting our nuclear capability's interests.

For the first time we have now chosen to surrender on this count – for that is what happened on August 1, 2008, in the IAEA board of governors meeting where Pakistan showed its pusillanimity and abandoned its policy of at least seeking a vote in this body on the IAEA-India safeguards.
This is clearly a first in our soon to be many compromises on the nuclear issue. A similar surrender in the Conference on Disarmament in Geneva on the Fissile Material Cut off Treaty (FMCT) will be next. So far we have been holding out against the US draft, supported by India, which contravenes the international consensus on the FMCT (as discussed in earlier columns) reflected in the Shannon Report of March 1995 and in UN General Assembly Resolution 48/75L. But now we should brace ourselves for the inevitable compromise if the prevailing decision makers and their advisers continue on their path of making Pakistan a loyal satellite state of the U.S.
The game plan that some of us had been pointing to for some time now has become abundantly overt. This plan rests on a three-pronged strategy at the macro level, with many off shoots at the micro level:

Weakening key state institutions and keeping the subjugated ones in that position with perhaps a facade of compromise if required;

Aggravating the law and order situation beyond the tribal belt;

Gradually compromising on our nuclear capability so that eventually the stability and credibility of the deterrence is destroyed which would then make it easier to rollback the whole program.

Some of the above strategies were operationalized before February 2008, but clearly the Americans felt a double game was going on by the Pakistanis to preserve their national interests and hence the search for more reliable political partners.

So let us see how the three-pronged strategy of the present rulers is being worked out.
As for weakening the existing strong state institutions, the case of the ISI is the most blatant one, although the army has been targeted also – despite de-linkage between the presidency and the military. Of course, the ISI has its share of negatives but if the rulers – one cannot use the word government here because one of the main rulers is outside of the government – really wanted to rectify the aberrations within this institution, they could have simply delinked the Internal Wing, which has been used by so many for internal political machinations. Instead, by seeking to put it under the unelected Interior adviser, more political fangs were being sought and, undoubtedly, as is happening elsewhere, the organization would have been packed with "loyalists".

Worse still, by now creating ambiguity of where the civilian control of the ISI rests – since the old order has not been formally rescinded – uncertainty is being created which will impact the external functioning of the ISI while its controversial internal functions will increase rather than abate. Interestingly, it should be recalled that Rehman Malik and his U.K.-based security setup had close links with British intelligence.
Why target the ISI at this time and in this particular fashion? Clearly, this is a well-planned campaign being conducted in collusion with the U.S. and India, with Karzai offering ground support. The U.S. has strong reasons for targeting the military in general and the ISI in particular since it has been evident for some time that they were not falling in line with U.S. demands and policy imperatives. That the CIA and ISI worked together since the first Afghan venture is now history. It would appear that the CIA wanted to continue in that fashion but some of its policies were threatening Pakistan directly such as seeking to stir up trouble in the settled areas of the Pukhtunkhwa province. A look at the Serena Hotel, Swat's guest book for the last two years, will reveal interesting information especially regarding the Americans who visited there dressed as locals, speaking Pushto (a point that had been made in an earlier column), and were in touch with Fazlullah.  According to official sources, militants in Swat even today are getting foreign funding and, even though foreign militants were eliminated during the first phase of the military operation in Swat, there is again a presence of foreign militants in the area.
It would seem the ISI was finally uncomfortable with some of the CIA goings on in Pakistan and was also outraged against the new U.S. ally in the region, India, so it had to be pilloried and undermined.  Also, the increasing evidence that the U.S. is using the Shamsi base against Iran, a friendly neighbor with whom we have no quarrel or conflict, could not be ignored. The ISI was also seeking to make more public the Indian ingresses into Balochistan and FATA and the continuing acceptance by the U.S. and Karzai of terrorist groups operating in Balochistan from Kabul. So, all in all, the time was considered right to target the ISI – especially given the assumption that internally also some would welcome this given the disinformation and political history of this organization. Of course, the fact that the ISI has a critical external role was not a concern for the rulers – in fact, that is the role that they along with the U.S. were seeking to undermine in any case.
Perhaps it is time for the real U.S. agenda within Pakistan to be revealed, especially their efforts to aid and abet extremism and militancy; and here the first and second prongs of their strategy coincide.

We seem to have forgotten that the U.S. first turned against the Taliban only when they rejected the UNOCAL oil deal in 1998, so if the ISI is guilty of having links with Taliban remnants, so is the CIA.  Only the ISI won't play ball with the CIA anymore and that is not acceptable to U.S.!
Finally, in terms of a phased surrender on the nuclear issue, along with the external dynamics there is a policy to undermine the development of our technical capabilities. According to a recent news report (The News, August 3, 2008), the government has decided to cut down funds for defense-related organizations under the Strategic Plans Division. Specifically, the cuts will be imposed on scientific research and development organizations and their personnel, so that will directly hit our future R&D in sensitive hi-tech areas. If the state is short of funds, surely more useful cuts could be made in the general bureaucracy – both civil and military – as well as in the spending of the prime minister, the ministers and the presidency. Why hire ambassadors at large, resuscitate old bureaucrats and hire private planes for ministers when austerity is so essential?
Undermining our strategic R&D, and making it less attractive for the best to enter this field in the future, is part of a sinister design. We are finally on the path of being delivered to the U.S. as a defanged and loyal satellite.

Dr.Afia Siddiqui-do you want to protest?

This is what the American Pakistanis are doing. Does anyone in New Zealand want to do something? Can we celebrate when our sister needs us. Mail your suggestions to pti.newzealand@gmail.com . It is time to stand up and count.

How can we help Dr. Afia Siddiqui?

Here is how:

1. Be there in person!

For those of us living in Tri-state area, NYC, NJ & Connecticut, her bail hearing is on Monday August 11th at the United States District Court , Southern District of New York.

Please remember united we stand!!

This is the time to show that you will stand up for this fellow Pakistani Muslim who is an innocent victim of a horrendous crime committed by two governments Pakistani government and US government. We will be peaceful, but we will stand up and protest.

Dr. Afia迦s lawyers will hold a press conference before the hearing @ 1 PM outside the court house.

The hearing itself is at 2:30 PM

Let us all gather there around 11 AM and show our peaceful support and peaceful protest for Dr. Afia Siddiqui. We will sign the release Afia Siddiqui pettiotns there. Her brother Mohammed will be coming from Houston and her sister Fauzia Siddiqui will be coming from Karachi for the hearing.

Let us show Fauzia and Mohammed that they have many many more brothers and sisters here who will stand by them in this most difficult time of their lives!

The court address is:

United States District Court

Southern District of New York

Daniel Patrick Moynihan

http://www1.nysd.uscourts.gov/jury_travel.php?location=manhattan

2. Donate your money, your time, your services for Dr. Afia Siddiqui!

Her lawyer Elaine Whitfield Sharp is doing this case pro bono. That means she is doing it for free. The costs of fighting this case are sure to be astronomical for her. Dr. Afia迦s family are not rich, they have been spending a huge amount of money since 2003, when both Fauzia and Mohammed as well as their now deceased mother Ismet Siddiqui were ordered to come to the grand jury hearing regarding Dr. Afia Siddiqui.

So money does make a difference. Make donations for Dr. Afia Siddiqui. I am not aware of any fund that has been established for this purpose and her lawyer Elaine White Sharp told me that we can make out our checks to Elaine Whitfiled Sharp , in the memo section please do not forget to write for Dr. Afia Siddiqui.

Also you can help her case in so many other ways, providing free transportation, free accommodation, free assistance in other ways to the lawyer and the family are some of the ways in which we can help our sister in her case. Ms Whitfiled told me that during her last visit to NYC for Afia迦s arraignment, two of the cabs she used belonged were Pakistanis, and Mashallah both of them refused to charge Ms. Sharp for the rides she took in their cabs and took no money for it. May Allah bless them.

Please know that for any one who is sincere in showing his or her support to Dr. Afia, there are many ways to do it.

Please remember that in today迦s world it could have been any one of us in Dr. Afia迦s place.

And also please do not forget that Allah will ask us why did we not help our helpless sister in her time of need? What excuse we will have to give to Allah then?

May Allah help Dr. Afia Siddiqui , her 3 children, her family, her lawyers and all of the Muslims. Ameen.

SAUDI JUDGE AREST

Saudi judge arrested in Dubai on drug charge
AFP

DUBAI: A Saudi judge has been arrested in Dubai on charges of possessing and using drugs, a newspaper reported yesterday.

Hamad Salim bin Naif, who served as head of a Shariah court, was arrested along with his Moroccan wife after police raided their room in a Dubai hotel on Friday and found four grams of hashish in his possession, the Khaleej Times said.

The suspect confessed that he and his wife take drugs and said he brought the confiscated hashish for their personal use, the newspaper reported, citing a Dubai police source.

Saudi courts impose tough penalties for drug-related charges, and drug trafficking is punishable by death in the Kingdom. The United Arab Emirates, of which Dubai is a member, also imposes severe penalties for all drug-related offenses. Four years in prison is the usual sentence for possession while trafficking carries the death penalty.

The word 'Pakistan' has been coined from the names of those regions that make up this nation - Punjab, Afgan Border States, Kashmir, Sind and Baluchistan.
