Al-Madinah

A Saudi father set a strange condition for prospective suitors wanting to marry his daughter, the Al-Madinah daily reported yesterday. The father stated that regardless of their educational background, family or social status, the only thing that mattered to him was that the suitor’s name be Khaled. The “logic” behind this rather bizarre notion is that the man’s other three daughters are all happily married to different Khaleds. Fearing that he might break a bout of good luck, he wants his daughter to marry a Khaled and live happily ever after

FIRST PAKISTAN LOVE PAKISTAN

REAL TARGET NUCLEAR PROGRAM OF PAKISTAN?
By: DR SHAHID QURESHI
Published: 12th November 2007

There was a time not very long ago when ‘transportation’ of criminals from petty thieves to murders, was frequent to the British Colony in America now known as United States. The US joined the WWII right at the very end but if you see Hollywood movies one feel as if they librated the whole World. That mentality Hollywood is still continued even today. Some of the US publications and writers have started a campaign against Pakistan and its nuclear program.  The US writers and journalists must read history of the people of this region, which is much older than 60 years. They must understand that people of Pakistan have thousands of year’s glorious history and civilisations behind them. People of Pakistan have no history of genocide, slavery and criminality.

Pakistan is a responsible nuclear state and they know how to defend its assets. On the other hand US must review its policy of leaving Pakistan in the lurch and join the enemies of Pakistan. I must say those who signed the one-sided CETO and CENTO agreements must be hanged for treason and those who are jumping by becoming a non-NATO ally must be imprisoned. This membership does not worth more than leisure centre membership. They think every thing they say is gospel. US must come out of its criminal past because its policies always back fire and hurt innocent Americans. Though British Empire has shrunken yet they are smart and clever.

A British think tank International Institute of Strategic Studies (IISS) published a dossier about the Dr AQ Khan and nuclear proliferation. I mentioned to Mark Fitzpatrick before the launch that word ‘dossier’ is associated with lies, deception and dodgy in the context of Iraqi Weapons of Mass Destructions (WMDs). I told him that more than 170 British companies were involved in the Iraqi chemical and biological weapons program according to Channel 4. When journalist presented the list of the companies supplied chemical and biological material to Saddam Hussein regime to Ministry of Defence, the response was something like ‘list is correct’.  The moral of the story is that people don’t trust the dodgy dossiers and biased reports.

I asked Dr John Chipman director general of the IISS and Mark Fitzpatrick editor of dossier Nuclear Black Markets: Pakistan, AQ Khan and the rise of proliferation networks, in the Q&A: (a) Is there any nuclear program in the world, in which human and material proliferations were not involved? (b) your report seems unfair because you have not mentioned anything about the Israeli nuclear program, proliferation and illegal assistance by the US and Western countries.? Two paragraphs about Israeli Nuclear program in 176-page document. (c) What national and international law Dr A Q Khan has violated and what should be his punishment.

Mark Fitzpatrick agreed that there is no nuclear program in the world where proliferation did not happened; US program was based on proliferation i.e. technical and material knowledge of the German Nazi scientist.  He agreed that Israelis were involved in proliferation in a round about way. He stated that Israeli program was assisted by the states than private individuals. It is like saying if an individual is involved in terrorism he or she should brought to justice but if a state is involved in state terrorism that’s OK.

According to my knowledge Dr Khan has not violated any national or international law. He could be charged with smuggling or illegal trading like British use to trade in drugs (opium) with China in the past. We should not make a moral issue of things, which are strategic or related to security of small insecure countries.

If Israel who is not NPT signatory can be allowed to have nuclear weapons and program because it is ‘surrounded by hostile neighbours’ why cant Iran who is NPT signatory allowed to have a peaceful nuclear program under IAEA safe guards. What is the point on signing NPT when one cannot benefit of it? I think its time that NPT should be reviewed if it is not serving the purpose.

J Wilkerson former chief of staff of Colin Powel said something like, ‘what we know now is that sources of the intelligence on Iraqi WMDS were not credible and Colin Powel was probably misled and deliberately sent to the UN Security Council with false or half true information. The name ‘Chelabi’ an Iraqi exile seems central to most of the information US had on biological, chemical and nuclear programs.

In the current scenario Benazir Bhutto is doing exactly what Chelabi did. She is misleading the westerns by saying something like that ‘mullahs’ are going to take control of ‘Pakistani Nukes’ as if they are lying in some fruit market. One doesn’t expect these types of irresponsible comments from some one who has been Prime Minister twice. Pakistanis are smart enough to look after their nuclear assets. It seems Benzair Bhutto has commissioned herself with tasks like ‘de-Islamisation, de-nuclearisation, and de commissioning of Pakistan’s armed forces.

On 25th October 2007 in a joint press conference at No.10 Doweing Street official residence of British Prime Minsiter, with Afghan President Hamid Karzai the British Prime Minsiter Gordon Brown did not answer my question, “British People expect high standards both moraly and integrity from their politicians. Many Pakistanis are asking than why Britain is supporting Benzair Bhutto who created and supprted Taliban and also involved in corrptuion mounting wealth of $2 bilion?

People of Pakistan are competent and talented. They don’t need lecturing from outside those who do must have compromised them. A painting in the reception lobby of NASA's flight facility at Wallop Island shows Tipu Sultan’s soldiers launching rockets attacks against the British. He was the first Muslim rocketry warfare hero. The current Pakistani nuclear and missile program seems a revival of the 18th century dream of Tipu Sultan'.

The British captured more than 700 rockets and subsystems of 900 rockets in the battle of Turukhanahally in 1799. Tipu Sultan’s army had 27 brigades called Kushoons, and each brigade had a company of rocket men, called Jourks. These rockets had been taken to England by William Congreve and were subjected by the British to what we call "reverse engineering" today.

Tipu Sultan was the only ruler in the world who died in the battlefield fighting the enemy according to a French scholar. Tipu Sultan reigned 1782-1799 and died in May 1799, fighting the combined forces of British and collaborators, the Nizam of Hyderabad, and the Marhattas. He lost the battle because of deceit and treachery by collaborators.  Iraqis and Pakistanis have learnt how to deal with occupiers and invaders i.e. ‘kill the collaborators first’. Pakistanis are keeping close eyes on their collaborators living both in and outside of Pakistan.

US must check its own back yard as far as nuclear safety is concerned. Its own pilots have been sacked for flying around with live nuclear warheads for hours and claimed ‘they thought it was dummy’ not very long ago. How irresponsible and dangerous is that?

Tour De Japan

A few weeks ago, sitting around open fire

with friends, the owner of Economy groups of companies said that he going to Japan to buy cars for his new car yard and to meet his cars suppliers in Japan, Fed up by cold in NZ I asked him that if can give him company if his friend how supply him cars won’t mind. After OK signal got my ticket through Pan World, Our departure where at same day but coming back was on deferent dates, That time my thinking was this that what if that person there may be too “dry” too bear, I thought in that case I will have to find some backpacker to stay

Flight was in early in the morning. Raja Rafaqat and his partner came to pick me up.

After 10 hour-long flights we landed on Narita airport of Tokyo. About Japan, specially Tokyo I thought there would be building only but I was wrong when saw a lot of greenery around the Tokyo in my bird eyes view from plane

On ground I found big airport with about 98 terminals compare to Auckland 18 terminal only. First thing I experienced was a heat wave which compelled my to take off my jacket. Although airport was air conditioned, we all were sweating because delayed immigration service

At immigration service, immigration officer asked me preposed of visit I told him to see my Pakistani friend. During this time he looked in passport and said “you Pakistani” I said “yes” He asked me “what is your friend status here in Japan” I said I don’t know but you can give him ring confirm, I gave him his full name Ashrif Ejaza Khan

At that stage first time came in mind that after 11 of September; Pakistan has no good name out there in international community. Some we got to pay the price, just to be on right side Anyway immigration officer rung Ashrif who was there to pick us up

Airport to Asrif place is 60 km, which is Japanese’s term “very close” It took us 30 minute to do 60 km; you can imagine how fast and how good Japan motorway system is. On way I was thinking that why immigration stoped me do I look like terrorist

A SAD DAY OF MY LIFE

I always think that Dhaka Fall was my sadist day of my life. Whenever Dhaka name come ' half black page of news paper with head line "Dhaka has fallen" flashes in my mind

I was young boy that time. Unknown to distraction of war I use to think it is good thing we should go on war every 6year to test our strength I still remember I was volunteer along side with my brothers, father and other family members. On Mureed air base. I have filled few sand bags, because it was call of in charge of Moreed air base, he wanted volunteers from civilian sector to fill the sand bags to re enforced some bunkers.

I worked hard my dad work hard my whole family worked hard. Results were against our wishes and unacceptable ' time has few quality it doesn’t stop and heels, wound has been heeled but scar is still there, what ever you call it, it was clear defeat

Until 8/10 happened

News first broken on quran khowni of Chacha Bannars, somebody told that Pakistan has hit by earthquake casualties are 28, No worry was my first thought, Pakistan is big country and these things small for big country like Pakistan, by time I went to bed death tool was under 100, mainly from Islamabad Still NO WORRY. Next day death tool was more then 3000. Yes it was worry time, glue to TV seeing horrified scene, first time I cried, I never cried for Tsunami victims, I did not cried for Ketharina victims they were human too and I consider myself preacher of humanity but I didn't feel for them, many time asked myself " am I a hypocrite? " maybe. "Why" as charity starts from home ...feeling starts with relations. Probably that’s why I cried for Pakistan because here I have tow relations, human and Pakistani one

In first meeting I saw big posters sitting on table showing the destruction earthquake, that morning I was thinking that we are wasting our time here we should be on move .my thinking was wrong. Senior members of community were laying out the plan for funds rising, that day Nadeem Asharf and Ch Mukhtar preposed business community meeting, next day we had bulk donations of more then 20000 thanks to Mr Asharf and Mr Mukhtar, it would be sin if we don’t mention Jamshaid ul Hussan who arranged AFTTAR dinner for all business people's gathering .GM offered his yards as collection point .Zeb khan his tuck for transportation. Shahid Azad coordinated volunteers

All parts of Pakistanis machinery worked perfectly and according to plan it took us 12 days to achieve the target of 100000 set by President of PANZ

One aim this article is that all other communities who worked with us, leaving behind political and ethnic differences, oblige us it is our obligation to do the same to them if time like this inflict upon them

If pain is big enough then we are one

HAPPIEST DAY OF MY LIFE

It is sometimes in May 98 , India has blasted nuclear blast , Indian tone is completely changed , rather then peace they talking war now , even news of elimination of Pakistan with one strike are coming, whole world is worry , how Pakistan going to react on this , because everyone in world know Pakistan is capable of doing the same

It didn't took us very long ,whole world want us not to do it, YES 28th of May "my happiest day of my life " despite all threats of sanction we did it . PM of that time said " tough time is ahead we must prepare ourselves for hunger and shortage of everything " it is 6am in morning I am fast a asleep my wife is getting ready to go to work while watching TV, she shook to wake up and said Pakistan has done it' hastily get out of bed watched the news .I was so happy I wanted to share it with my friend I rang all of my close friends congratulated them regardless of time ' couldn't sleep, after that one thought was ringing in why my mind-"this is not enough" we should do more , we should celebrate it with whole community .I wrote a latter to Prim Minister admired his courageous decision with quote

Next week a meeting took place in my place to lay out the celebration plan and funds , instantly we had $800 , which was good enough for one dish party function', we named it BHANGRA BLAST

We had to delay the function because of recent death in community

Then another death of mother's of our close friend MALIK SOHAIL (in oz now) one of the main volunteer organizer of BHANGRA BLAST, he had to leave, we though we might have to face another delay . I proud of my friend Malik .he said death of my mother is my personal matter. BHANGRA BLAST is national pride " show must go on"

In end of June we were able to do BHANGRA BLAST,

There were both type of people in this party some who were against the nuclear blast , but most of them were happy and in celebration mood

PANZ of that time was against the idea of BHANGRA , but they were favour of function

Right in middle of Bhangra TV crew arrived , they start asking question to kids and adults that, why we are gathered here , most of the kids said we here to celebrate nuclear blast some said we are against blast , focus point was Kashmir

in interview with TV Taquir Khan said no body like nuclear blast but today "everyone is happy because we are competing with India"

They asked me question." what do you think people. of NZ. will think who enjoy nuclear free status"

I replied " New Zealand should not mind it Because NZ is lucky country which don’t have enemies like us"

On other hand community leader were telling the TV that this is only a one dish party, we are here to educate our people about latest development in Sub continent

Bhangra Blast was good entertainment . Every able men participated in Bhangra dance which was the core of the Paul Home show

My wife was only lady who did Bhangra to share the happiness with us

First Pakistani female

First Pakistani female set to travel space in 2009

namira salim first pakistani in spaceNamira Salim is poised to become the first Pakistani astronaut, albeit as a space tourist in the world’s first commercial space liner in 2009. Salim, 35, made her name as a sculptor, musician, designer and poet before she was chosen in March 2006 by entrepreneur Richard Branson from among 44,000 candidates to be one of the first 100 space tourists for flights to be offered by his firm Virgin Galactic. She was trained in the STS-400 simulator, the world’s most advanced high performance centrifuge, under the supervision of Virgin Galactic after clearing medical tests. The training assessed Salim’s ability to tolerate and adapt to gravitational forces and motion sickness during a sub-orbital spaceflight.

“I am very happy. These are unforgettable moments,” Namira said. “I am not only proud to be the first Pakistani, but particularly proud to be the first female from Pakistan to have had such a phenomenal experience.”  Salim has said that she hoped her achievement would break “new ground for Muslim and Pakistani women” to enter fields that were hitherto closed to them. She has encouraged others, particularly women, to open their minds to the vast potential and opportunities the world offers and excel in all spheres of lives. “It was an unforgettable experience and makes one very excited for the actual space flight now that I know that I am qualified to fly to sub-orbital space,”

The Major Sins

  • If some person has been wronged because of this sin then one needs to make up to this person 1. Associating partners with Allah (Shirk)
    • Great Shirk: worshipping beings other than Allah (proof all over Quran)
    • Small Shirk: Riya

The Prophet (sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam) "Should I not inform you of that which I fear for you even more than the dangers of Dajjal? It is the hidden shirk: A person stands to pray and he beautifies his prayer because he sees the people looking at him". (Sahih; Sunan ibn Majah)

    2. Committing murder: (Furqan; 68)

    3. Performing Sorcery (2: 102)

    4. Not performing the Prayers (Maryam: 59)

    5. Withholding the Zakat (Charity) (3: 180)

    6. Breaking the fast of Ramadhan or not fasting in that month without a valid excuse.

Prophet (sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam)  said, "Islam is built upon five pillars: testifying that there is no true god except Allah and that Muhammad is the messenger of Allah, performing the prayers, paying the zakat, making the pilgrimage to the house, and fasting the month of Ramadhan" (Sahih al-Jami # 2837)

Prophet (sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam)  said, "Whoever doesn't allow the access water or pasture for others will not share in the blessings of Allah on the day of judgment" (Sahih al-Jami # 6436)

    62. Not measuring the weights properly (al-Mutafafifeen: 1-3)

    63. Thinking that one is safe from Allah's planning (al-Araf: 99)

    64. Eating carrion, blood or pork meat (al-Anam: 145)

    65. Not praying in the congregation & praying by one's self without a valid excuse

Prophet (sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam)  said, "Whoever hears the call to prayer and doesn't come to prayer, there is no prayer for him say for the one who has valid excuse" (Sahih al-Jami # 6176)

    66. Continually not performing the Friday prayers and congregational prayers without any valid excuse

Prophet (sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam)  said, "If people don't stop abandoning the Friday Prayers Allah may seal their hearts and they will become headless" (Muslim)

    67. Harming others by manipulation one's bequests (4: 12)

    68. Being deceitful or deceptive (Fatir: 43)

    69. Spying on the Muslims & pointing out their secrets (al-Kalam: 11)

    70. Abusing or reviling anyone of the Companions of the Prophet (sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam)

Prophet (sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam)  said, "Do not revile my companions for, by the one in whose hands is my soul, if you were to spend in charity a mountain of gold similar to mount Uhud it would not be equal to a handful or a half a handful (or what they have done)" (Sahih al-Jami # 7187)

Please make sincere repentance to Allah before as Ali (ra) said, "Today is deed without reckoning and tomorrow is reckoning without deeds". Sincere repentance has four conditions :

    • Feeling bad for the sin
    • Firm commitment in intention not to repeat sin (whether it happens again is not a condition if one tried his best)
    • Make repentance to Allah by Du'a and asking or better crying for forgiveness
    • Yaa Allah Save us from all sins Ameen !!!!

Iqbal Day

Iqbal Day

I feel honored to join the entire nation and indeed the world in celebrating the 130th birthday of the

poet - philosopher Allama Iqbal, one of the greatest thinkers of modern times and a source of

inspiration for all humanity. The suppression of the Muslims of South Asia was a source of deep

anguish for Iqbal, and being a visionary he could foresee their continued subjugation with the end,

of colonial rule. He dreamt of a separate homeland for the Muslims, a land where they could strive

unhindered for their socio- economic emancipation and development. He devoted his entire efforts

towards the attainment of this objective. Iqbal's ideals are aimed at nurturing a Muslim society

aware of its cultural, spiritual and religious assets, while not being alienated from the times. His

message was one of hope and his writings and poetry were responsible for rekindling awakening

among the Muslims and led to their rallying round the unmatched leadership of the Quaid-E-Azam

for the creation of Pakistan. But it must be remembered that Iqbal's message is not limited to South

Asia alone, his thought provoking ideas have appeal for all humanity and also great relevance for

scholars around the world. We look up to the teachings of Allama Iqbal as our guide and are trying

to harmonize society by eliminating sectarianism, factional thinking and subduing the forces of

dissension and extremism.

May Allah Almighty give us the wisdom to serve our nation, Islam and all humanity in light of the

teachings of Allama Iqbal.

 Ameen.

Saudi Police Officer Tickets Father

Saudi Police Officer Tickets Father

KHAMIS MUSHAYT, 8 November 2007 — A local traffic police officer in Khamis Mushayt in southern Saudi Arabia stopped his father at a local checkpoint, the daily Okaz reported yesterday. The father was surprised when his son, who was in charge of the checkpoint, asked for his driver’s license. When the father handed his son his driver’s license, he was told that it had expired and then to his disbelief, he was issued a citation. The shocked father became angry and sped off, not saying a word to his son. Later that day, when the son went home, the father turned the tables on him by refusing to let him into the house. Relatives intervened and eventually convinced the father to let his son back in the house, however this came with a condition: The son must pay the traffic ticket. The son obliged and paid the ticket the following morning.

Afghan Koran distributor arrested

Afghan Koran distributor arrested
By Alix Kroeger
BBC News, Kabul

Various editions of the Koran for sale in the Afghan capital Kabul
Religious scholars are outraged at the new translation of the holy book
The distributor of a new translation of the Koran has been arrested after complaints from religious scholars that the new edition was un-Islamic.

Former journalist Ghows Zalmay is also the spokesman for Afghanistan's attorney general.

He was arrested on the border on Sunday while trying to flee into Pakistan.

Demonstrators protested in two Afghan provinces against the new translation of the Koran into Dari, one of Afghanistan's two official languages.

Religious scholars are outraged at the new edition of the Muslim holy book.

They say that it is un-Islamic, that it misinterprets verses about alcohol, begging, homosexuality and adultery.

They also complain that it does not contain the original version in Arabic as a parallel text for comparison.

Both houses of the Afghan parliament have held emergency debates.

Senators have called for Mr Zalmay and the translator, himself a mullah, to be punished.

One said Mr Zalmay was "worse than Salman Rushdie", whose book, The Satanic Verses, caused widespread outrage in the Islamic world.

Another said Mr Zalmay was under the protection of a foreign security company.

In the northern city of Taloqan 1,500 university students took to the streets in protest, while in the south-east province of Nimruz 1,000 local people, including several mullahs, took part in a demonstration.

The Afghan constitution enshrines freedom of expression, but for many Afghans that freedom has clear limits and they do not include making interpretive translations of the Koran.

Common mistakes in Interviews.

Top mistakes candidates make

By Sally Cannan; Manager HR Solutions, Drake International

Not feeling so great about your last interview? Take heart. Chances are the interviewer has seen worse. A recent survey of managers was conducted to identify the most common mistakes candidates make. Here are the top five.

  1. What they say (or don't say)

The No1 mistake interviewees make relates to how they communicate. Some come in with a pre-determined script and sound as if they're reading from a textbook. Others give one-worded answers with no further elaboration. While still others use profanity or ramble on about their personal problems and social lives rather than answer - or ask - questions about the job or company.

Others complain about former bosses. And many make the mistake of bringing up money and hours-required in the first interview. But the "Too Much Information" award has to go to the candidate who said: "I'm only here because my mum wants me to get a job". He was 37!

  2. How they act

The second most common mistake is being unprepared and knowing nothing about the job or company. Others include that candidates don't listen to the questions being asked or try to bluff their way through technical questions.

Some stem from a lack of common sense or courtesy. Many hiring managers complain about candidates showing up late and the surprising number who interrupt the interview to take calls on their cell phones. One woman brought her children along.

  3. Bad attitudes

The third most-cited category of mistakes has to do with the candidate's attitude. No one likes a braggart, know-it-all or name-dropper - or the candidate with the super-sized ego who demands to be hired and says the company can do no better. One interviewee declared he was "used to a higher class of business".

On the other side of the coin, there are those who show no enthusiasm. One candidate spent the better part of the interview looking at his watch.

  4. How they look

Coming to the interview improperly groomed and dressed is the fourth most common mistake. The usual culprits include: bad posture, tattoos, facial piercings, fluorescent-coloured hair and poor hygiene. Managers also told of a candidate who did not wear shoes and another wore dark glasses throughout the interview.

  5. They're dishonest

Common forms of dishonesty include exaggerating about achievements or misrepresenting knowledge. There's also the candidate who mentioned his arrest after saying on his application he had never been arrested - and the one who actually stole something from the interviewer's office.

IS FAINZ REAL OR THEY ARE JUST MAKING COMMISION ON THE NAME OF HALLAL????

STROKE: Remember The 1st Three Letters... S.T.R.

My friend sent this to me and encouraged me to post it and spread the word. I agree. If everyone can remember something this simple, we could save some folks.

STROKE IDENTIFICATION:

During a BBQ, a friend stumbled and took a little fall - she assured everyone that she was fine and just tripped over a brick because of her new shoes. (they offered to call ambulance)

They got her cleaned up and got her a new plate of food - while she appeared a bit shaken up, Ingrid went about enjoying herself the rest of the evening. Ingrid's husband called later telling everyone that his wife had been taken to the hospital - (at 6:00pm , Ingrid passed away.)

She had suffered a stroke at the BBQ. Had they known how to identify the signs of a stroke, perhaps Ingrid would be with us today.

Some don't die. They end up in a helpless, hopeless condition instead. It only takes a minute to read this...

STROKE IDENTIFICATION:

A neurologist says that if he can get to a stroke victim within 3 hours he can totally reverse the effects of a stroke...totally. He said the trick was getting a stroke recognized, diagnosed, and then getting the patient medically cared for within 3 hours, which is tough.

RECOGNIZING A STROKE

Remember the "3" steps, STR . Read and Learn!

Sometimes symptoms of a stroke are difficult to identify. Unfortunately, the lack of awareness spells disaster.

The stroke victim may suffer severe brain damage when people nearby fail to recognize the symptoms of a stroke.

Now doctors say a bystander can recognize a stroke by asking

three simple questions:

S
* Ask the individual to SMILE .

T

* = TALK. Ask the person to SPEAK A SIMPLE   SENTENCE (Coherently) (eg "It is sunny out today").

R

* Ask him or her to RAISE BOTH ARMS .

If he or she has trouble with ANY ONE of these tasks, call 111 immediately!! and describe the symptoms to the dispatcher.

NOTE

: Another 'sign' of a stroke is

Ask the person to 'stick' out their tongue.

If the tongue is 'crooked', if it goes to one side or the other that is also an indication of a stroke.

A prominent cardiologist says if everyone who gets this e-mail sends it to 10 people; you can bet that at least one life will be saved.

….and it could be your own…..

Special Dinner

Howard came home from work one evening and there was
his wife Miriam in the kitchen crying out loud.

"What's the matter, darling?" he asked her.

"I just don't know what to do," said Miriam. "Because
we were eating in for a change, I cooked us a special
dinner - but the dog has just eaten it."

"Don't worry," said Howard, "I'll get us another dog."
