CHAKWAL: 19 Dec: The senior vice president of Pakistan Muslim League and
ex-Federal Minsiter Lt. Gen (r) Abdul Majeed Malik said on Sunday that the
comming local bodies' election at Union Council level would be held on
non-party basis in the first phase and than Tehsil and District Nazim
elections would be held on party-basis in second phase and the final
announcement would be made by Gen. Pervaiz Musharraf in the next few days.
He was addressing the councillors of Union Council 5 Chakwal city on Sunday
in the presence of Tehsil Nazim Chakwal Amir Bhatti, Nazim Shahid Iqbal,
Nazim Haji Muhammad Rafiq, Tehsil Councillor Malik Azhar Iqbal, Chairmain
Zakat and Usher Committe District Chakwal Haji Nazir Sultan. Nazim Nuhammad
Nazir Shami in his welcome address presented a charge-sheet against District
Nazim Chakwal Sardar Ghulam Abbas and alleged that despite our alliance with
District Nazim, we were not only ignored badly but District Nazim victimised
us and even development funds were not given to us while District Nazim
allocated development schemes among his favourite nazimeens and one way
traffic of District Nazim was still on from the last three and a half years.
General Malik admitted that District Nazim Chakwal did not deliver and there
was a great resentment agaist him from our group side therefore if District
Nazim did not change his atitude then we would work on some other options.
Later on, while talking to the newsmen Gen. Malik clarified that there was a
no deal of the government with Pakistan Peoples' Party and General elections
would be held in 2007 as announced by Gen. Pervaiz Musharraf. Pakistan
Muslim League was patronised by Gen. Pervaiz Musharraf while in return

therefore a strong Pakistan Muslim League was also a need of the hour for

Three News Items for today

By Our Correspondent
CHAKWAL: 16 Dec: Peoples' Party is demanding a civil president as well as
an independent election commision which hold the transparent general
elections as Pakistan Peoples' Party believe in the power of vote and 140
million people of Pakistan should be allowed to elect their own
representative on their own free will. This was stated by leader of Pakistan
Peoples' Party and MNA Mrs. Naheed Khan while addressing a big workers'
gathering on Thursday at the residence of Sardar Azher Abbas to review the
arrangements for the welcome of Asif Ali Zardari to Rawalpindi on 21st
December. Sultan Khan Sultani, Malik Muhammad Nawaz Munara, Sheikh Shafeeq
Ahmed, Mrs. Fauzia Behram, Malik Ghulam Jailani Akhter, Dr. Ali Hasnain,
Sardar Khurram Nawab, Sardar Mumtaz Tamman and Sardar Nawab Khan also spoke
on this occasion. Chair person of Pakistan Peoples' Party City Islamabad,
Mrs. Nargis Faiz Malik and incharge Peoples' Secterate Syed Ibn-e-Rizvi were
also present on this occasion. Mrs. Naheed Khan further told that the
by-election of Malakand was rigged by federal as well as provincial
government and it was a contest between federal and provincial government's
candidates but still ARD also performed well in this election. Mrs. Naheed
Khan was confident that thousands of people would welcome Asif Ali Zardari
on 21st December at Islamabd Airport when Asif would start his mass contact
compaign of Punjab province. Mrs. Naheed Khan was confident that the workers
of Pakistan Peoples' Party from all the four districts, Jhleum, Rawalpindi,
Attock and Chakwal would welcome Asif Ali Zardari enthusiastically. Later on
while talking to the newsmen, Mrs. Naheed Khan dispelled the impresion that
Asif Ali Zardari was released after striking a deal with the government.
Mrs. Naheed Khan was of the view that there was a political vacuum in the
country and country was ruled by the military ruler and the parliment had
become just a rubber stamp. He further told that county is to be run by
presidential system in the guise of parlimentry system and this dual policy
would not only harm the ocuntry but it would damage the democracy.

Akbar were also present on this occasion. Chief Minister Pubjab Ch. Pervaiz
Elahi called on Gen. Majeed Malik at his residence at Islamabad and federal
minister for environment Major (r) Tahir Iqbal was also present on this
occasion. Gen. Majeed Malik complained that the development package
announced by Chief Minister was not implemented from the last nine months
and there was resentment among people of District Chakwal. Gen. Majeed
Malik also admitted that there were some differences between the members of
assembly and District Nazim Chakwal which were the major reason behind the
delay. Chief. Minister Punjab assured Gen. Majeed Malik that all the funds
for the development projects would be relieved forthwith. Gen. Majeed Malik
while replying to another question was confident that there was a strong
government of Pakistan Muslim League in the centre and the next general
elections would be held in 2007 however local bodies' election would be held
in 2005. Gen. Majeed admitted the defeat at Malakand by-election and he was
of the view that the imported candidate Saleem Saifullah was the main reason
for PMLQs' defeat.

Always Have Room For Cup Of Coffee

When things in your life seem almost too much to handle, when 24 hours in a day are not enough, remember the mayonnaise jar...and the coffee...
A professor {not a Liberal} stood before his philosophy class and had some items in front of him. When the class began, wordlessly, he picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls. He then asked the students if the jar was full. They agreed that it was.
So the professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into the open areas between the golf balls. He then asked the students again if the jar was full. They agreed it was. The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar. Of course, the sand filled up everything else. He asked once more if the jar was full. The students responded with an unanimous "yes."
The professor then produced two cups of coffee from under the table and poured the entire contents into the jar, effectively filling the empty space between the sand. The students laughed. "Now," said the professor, as the laughter subsided, "I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life. The golf balls are the important things-===your God, family, your children, your health, your friends, and your favourite passions-things that if everything else was lost and only they remained, your life would still be full. The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, your house, and your car. The sand is everything else-the small stuff.
"If you put the sand into the jar first," he continued, "there is no room for the pebbles or the golf balls. The same goes for life. If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff, you will never have room for the things that are important to you. Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness. Play with your children.
Take time to get medical checkups. Take your partner out to dinner. Play another 18. There will always be time to clean the house and fix the disposal." Take care of the golf balls first, the things that really matter. Set your priorities. The rest is just sand." One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the coffee represented. The professor smiled. "I'm glad you asked. It just goes to show you that no matter how full your life may seem, there's always room for a couple of cups of coffee with a friend."

Punjabi and Pushto

FOR THE LAST TWO DECADES. THE FILM INDUSTRY HAS BEEN DOMINATED BY THE PUNJABI AND PUSHTO FILMS, SO I WOULD LIKE TO TELL YOU ABOUT THEM.

PUNJABI FILMS ARE A GREAT WORK OF ART. IN NEARLY ALL OF THEM, THE SAME STORY REPEATED. EACH FILM USUALLY STARTS WITH INCREADIBLE CAMERA WORK WHERE THE SUN IS SHOWN RISING FROM BEHIND A KALASHINKOV OR A COW, OR A TIGHTLY CLAD "JATTEE" IS SHOWN RUNNING IN THE VILLAGE FIELDS CHASED BY A GROUP OF LANDLORDS. IN THE VERY NEXT SCENE, THE HERO’S MOTHER IS SHOWN CRYING FOR HELP. NOW THIS CALL REACHES SULTAN RAHI, THE HERO OF THE FILM, SITTING SOME HUNDRED MILES AWAY ROMANCING WITH ANJUMAN. THE MOTHER’S CALL WAKES UP THE "GAIRUT" AND HE THROWS AWAY ANJUMAN AND JUMPS UP ON A HORSE AND ARRIVES AT HIS MOTHER’S SIDE WITH THE SPEED OF LIGHT. HE STARTS FIGHTING WITH THE VILLAINS AND KILLS MORE THAN TWENTY PEOPLE IN JUST 10 SECONDS WITH HIS GOLD PLATED "GUNDASSA". NOW A BIT ABOUT HIS HORSE. THIS HORSE COVERS THE DISTANCE FROM LAHORE TO KARACHI IN ONLY 6.5 SECONDS, WHICH SHOWS IT IS EVEN FASTER THAN DR QADEER’S MISSLE.

NOW LETS GO BACK TO THE FILM. AFTER AN ENERGY SAPPING SCENE OF VIOLENCE, THE HERO IS ALL SET TO DO A SONG SEQUENCE WITH ANJUMAN IN THE RAIN (IN LAHORE AGAIN!). SULTAN RAHI IS WEARING A YELLOW "LACHA" WITH ALL SORTS OF FLOWERS PRINTED ON IT. THE HEROINE IS TRYING TO GET THE ATTENTION OF THE HERO. THE WHOLE SCENE IS LIKE WATCHING A BABY ELEPHANT DANCING AND JUMPING IN THE FIELDS. SHE IS SINGING MELODIUS SONGS LIKE, "MAINOON NA WIKHA,MAYRA MOOD BANAY", AND ACTION PACKED SONGS LIKE, "MAIN HUSSAN DEE, KALASHANIKOV JINNAY MARZEE KAR LAY FAAYAR".

IN THE END, THERE IS A FINAL FIGHT BETWEEN THE HERO AND THE VILLAIN, WHICH STARTS WITH THUDEROUS THREATS AND ENDS IN A POOL OF BLOOD. IN ALMOST FOUR HUNDRED FILMS THE SAME SCENE IS USED FOR THE LAST FIGHT, WHERE SULTAN RAHI’S MOTHER IS KIDNAPPED AND SULTAN RAHI GOES TO MUSTAFA QURESHI ‘S HOUSE AND SAYS, " MAINOON MAYRI MAAN DA DUPATTA VAAPAS KAR DAY", WITH THE OBVIOUS REPLY, "BARRA BAYGHAIRUT HAI-DUPATTA MUNGDA HAI, MAAN NAHEE".

AFTER THIS THRILLING SCENE, THE VILLAIN DIES AND THE HERO, DESPITE RECEIVING MULTIPLE BULLT INJURIES, MANAGES TO SURVIVE AND IS UNITED WITH HISBELOVED HERIONE TO LIVE HAPPILY EVER AFTER.

"If you have not seen Lahore you have not been born."

Kamini Sawhney

Monday, April 5, 2004

I have just returned from Lahore, still dazed by the experience. Its people tell me, "We will also visit your country one day and be India's guests."

And suddenly I grow cold. Will India open its heart to Lahore the way its people overwhelmed us? Do we have the same guileless warmth, the same large hearted generosity, where near strangers are willing to fling open their doors to you?

"Is your hotel comfortable, otherwise please stay with us. Do you have a car, otherwise you can borrow ours."

Its streets so amazingly crowded and yet so safe. Gwaal Mandi, the street where Nawaz Sharief's ancestral home is, is now like the sidewalk cafes in Paris. But it's so much more alive like a street only in India or Pakistan can be.

Full of noise, smells, people and food, unbelievably good food. Kebabs that one has never heard of - the chappli kebab from Multan, beaten into the most tender concoction and spiced with anardana and roasted dhaniya.

Jungli kebab - no I won't tell you what that is - let your imagination run riot.

Streets that remain open all night until 6 in the morning, filled with  men and women - women in burkhas, in salwar kameezes with children running around, all tucking into their kebabs with the same level of enjoyment.

There is an atmosphere of camaraderie that leaves me silent. People at the next table want to know - are we enjoying our stay, do we like Lahore? What is Delhi like? Everywhere there are smiles and good wishes.

Further down the street is the man who makes the most heavenly phirni. And the food street is clearly the place for adda.

The poet Faiz Ahmed Faiz's daughter is savouring a kulfi and chats with us about how wonderful it is for people to be able to meet and interact, to discover how much they have in common.

Everywhere it is the same complaint - the politicians have ruined it all.

Even in the majestic Lahore fort I see glimpses of our own Red Fort, not surprising. All the Mughal rulers had a hand in it. Akbar, Jehangir, Shah Jahan and then Aurangazeb.

Children from a nearby school are doing their bit for restoration, helping to remove the layers of dust from the walls so that the archaeologist can get to work on the more complicated stuff.

The exquisite Sheesh Mahal is being restored piece by piece. It was meant for Mumtaz Mahal but she never made it to her palace in Lahore.

The Shahidi mosque just across the gateway of the fort is Jama Masjid all over again and I feel I am back in Chandni Chowk.

A little boy from Peshawar is sightseeing just like us. He peeps out from behind one of the pillars and I ask him to stand with me for a photograph. He screams loudly and returns to the safety of his mother's arms.

In a while our little champ soon returns. Obviously, after a dressing down from his mother on how he must welcome guests to his country.

And yes, shopkeepers do make you pay. It's time for Pakistan's business community to make some money and it's time to pay - five times the normal price for your hotel room and your hired car.

The city's shoe shops are in clover. The upmarket Liberty shopping arcade is open everyday till midnight so avid shoppers make it even after the match.

There are plenty of Imelda Marcos's here. One enthusiast has 20 pairs of jhootis of every size and colour clutched in her arms. She looks at me slightly embarrassed. "I'm taking for my friends!!!!"

I must confess, my bag had nine.

I meet 80-year-old Tahira Mazhar Ali, who puts us all to shame with her vivacity and her zest for life. She looks at our sardar friend. "Now that you people have come, Lahore is once again the Lahore of old."

This was once the capital of Ranjit Singh, the lion of Punjab, where Sikhs were part of the skyline. Now the only ones left are the few looking after the gurudwaras scattered all over Pakistan.

Tahira is the daughter of the chief minister of Punjab after partition. Just 17 then, she was heartbroken at the thought that her best friends would be on the other side of the line, and the Congress party that she identified with was now a political party in another country. So she cycled over to Jinnah's home to declare her
displeasure.

She describes that meeting.

"I handed over a letter to him from my father. He didn't bother much about the letter.... Instead he looked at me and said sharply.....so I hear you are not with us. I said yes, I am with the Congress. They fought for freedom and they fought for all of us. They did not divide my country into bits and pieces. Now the people and places I love seem
unreachable. I want to be able to just drive to Amritsar for chaat like we did on so many evenings.

He looked at me and said, "But of course, you will still be able to do all of those things, you will visit your friends in India and they will visit you in Lahore and I myself will visit Bombay every year."

Did Jinnah actually believe it would be like that, or did he know he was dying anyway and was just humoring a young girl?

Has it taken a cricket match to recreate in a small way what this city must have once been like, its streets filled with Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs and Christians - all making Lahore what it was.

Its mall road with stately homes and government buildings and its amazing universities. Its culture of learning, of history and of course gracious hospitality.

There is an old Punjabi saying, "If you have not seen Lahore you have not been born." I am beginning to understand a little what that means.

MOHAMMED THE LAST PROPHET"

MOHAMMED THE LAST PROPHET" OPENING IN THEATERS NATIONWIDE

The Muslim American Society Freedom Foundation is contacting MAS chapters
and Muslim organizations nationwide to ensure success in the presentation of
the feature-length animation movie "Mohammad, The Last Prophet".

From the creators of "The King and I," "The Fox and the Hound," and "The
Swan Princess," comes the first animated feature-length film from Badr
International.

This groundbreaking film is set around 1,400 years ago during the early
years of Islam. The film relates the events that unfolded leading to the
rise of a renewed religion in the Arabian Desert - eventually spanning seven
continents and numbering 1.6 billion adherents around the world.

The movie's objective is to introduce the story of Islam and its Prophet to
contemporary audiences in an appealing and accessible animation medium.

Though the Prophet is not personified, sound and cinematography are employed
in the telling of the story

The film is capped off with a stunning soundtrack by composer William Kidd.

A definite must-see!

'Eid a Day of forgiveness

'

Eid a Day of forgiveness

Each '

Eid is a Day of forgiveness.

When a Muslim assemble in the congregation of the Day, they all whole-heartedly pray for forgiveness and strength in faith. And

Allah has assured those who approach Him with sincerity of His mercy and forgiveness. In that pure assembly and highly spiritual congregation any true Muslim would feel ashamed of himself before Allah to hold any enmity or ill feelings toward his brethren.

A true Muslim would be deeply impressed by this brotherly and spiritual assembly, and would overcome hid feting if he has been exposed to any. Consequently, he would find himself moving along with others responding to the spirit of the Day to purify his heart and soul.

In any case, he would forgive those who might have wronged him; because he himself would be praying for

Allah's forgiveness, and would do his best to acquire it.

The spirit of this highly devotional assembly would teach him that if he forgives he will be forgiven.

And when he forgives,

the virtue of forgiveness will be mercifully exercised by Allah, and widely exchanged between the Muslims. And that marks the Day as a Day of Forgiveness.

Welcom Zeb Khan

This is to inform that the Executive Committee Pakistan Association of New Zealand has appointed Mr. Zeb Khan (Khyber Foods) as its new and required third member with immediate effect. This may also be noted that costitutionally Executive Committee PANZ consists of three members but after the resignation of Mr, Raja Rafaqat from the post, the third seat had remained vacant  for few months and needed to be filled. The induction of Zeb Khan in Executive Committee would help in executing the responsibilities of the Executive Committee in best of manner and mode.

General Committee Pakistan Association of New Zealand has welcomed the decision and hoped the new inclusion will help Executive Committee in holding the forthcoming election of PANZ scheduled after Eid. PANZ President Shahid Azad along with other members of the cabinet Kashif Chaudhry, Haroon Ahmed, and Shahzad Sadiq appreciated the services of Zeb Khan in recently held Independence Day programme and wished best for him in performing his new role. The cabinet also thanked the other two members of Executive Committee Mateen Siddiqui and Sabir Cheema who remained a helping hand throughout their tenure.

Dont Forget to Watch TV One

Fridays at 10:15pm

On the show this week - October 29

How rock music is becoming a force for change in Islamic Pakistan.

Five years ago, popular music was effectively banned in Pakistan because it was considered foreign and un-Islamic.  Then a military coup in 1999 opened the country to outside influences and loosened the stifling grip of the clerics.  Now rock music is Pakistan's biggest entertainment sector, and the superstar band, Junoon, is helping to heal a long-standing rift with neighbouring India.

Lawn Mowers

One afternoon, a man was riding in the back of his limousine when he saw two

men eating grass by the road side. He ordered his driver to stop and he got

out to investigate.

"Why are you eating grass?"he asked one man.

"We don't have any money for food.", The poorman replied. "Oh, come along

with me then."

"But sir, I have a wife with two children!"

"Bring them along! And you, come with us too!",he said to the other man.

"But sir, I have a wife with six children!" the second man answered.

"Bring them as well!"

They all climbed into the car, which was no easy task, even for a car as

large as the limo.

Once underway, one of the poor fellows says "Sir, you are too kind. Thank

you for taking all of us with you."

The rich man replied "No, I appreciate you: the grass at my home is about

three feet tall!"

Fahrenheit 9/11 Facts

9/11 Commission Report Confirms Key Fahrenheit 9/11 Facts

The September 11 Commission's 567-page final report has confirmed key facts presented in Fahrenheit 9/11. These include:

Attorney General John Ashcroft told acting FBI director Thomas Pickard that he did not want to hear anything more about terrorist threats. Confirmed, Commission Report at p. 265

After Bush was informed of the first plane hitting the World Trade Center, he went ahead with his classroom event. After Bush was informed that the nation was under attack after the second plane hit, Bush stayed in the classroom for nearly seven more minutes, continuing to read with the children. Confirmed, Commission Report at pp. 35, 38-39.

Bush failed to have even one meeting to discuss the threat of terrorism with his head of counterterrorism Richard Clarke. Confirmed, Commission Report at p. 201.

Bush failed to react to the August 6, 2001 security briefing, “Bin Laden Determined to Strike in U.S.” Confirmed, Commission Report at pp. 260-262.

142 Saudis, including 24 members of the bin Laden family, were allowed to leave the country after September 13. Confirmed, Commission Report at p. 556, n. 25 [Note that Fahrenheit 9/11 understates the number of Saudis who left.]

Individuals were interviewed by the FBI before being allowed to leave (although the report confirms that most individuals on these flights were not interviewed.) Confirmed, Commission Report at p. 557, n. 28.

White House former counterterrorism chief Richard Clarke approved these flights. Confirmed, Commission Report at p. 329.

It should also be noted that the 9/11 Commission does not address or deem important a number of other issues either addressed in Fahrenheit 9/11 or revealed since completion of the film, including:

What exactly was the rush in getting these individuals out of the country so soon after the worst attack in U.S. history, why did Saudi Royals and bin Laden family members receive such special treatment at a time when most Americans still could not get flights (even though airspace may have been open), and how exactly were the flights arranged by the U.S. government?

Several unanswered questions posed by Senator Byron Dorgan (D-ND) in a July 20, 2004, Grand Forks Herald column: “At a time when 14 of the 19 terrorists from Sept. 11 were Saudi citizens, how and why were six secret flights allowed to sneak 142 Saudi citizens out of the United States in the days after Sept. 11 before they were properly interrogated? How do we know they weren't properly questioned? Because Dale Watson, the No. 2 man and former head of counterterrorism at the FBI has said none of them were subjected to ‘serious’ interrogation or questions before being allowed to leave. In fact, we now know that at least two and perhaps more of the Saudis who were allowed to leave after Sept. 11 were under investigation by the FBI for alleged terrorist connections.”

Information that came to light in Dana Milbank’s July 22, 2004 Washington Post article, including the fact that at least one bin Laden family member who was allowed to leave lived with a nephew of Osama bin Laden, who "was involved in forming the U.S. branch of the World Assembly of Muslim Youth" (WAMY), which the FBI has described as “a suspected terrorist organization,” and that the bin Ladens flew out of the country on the same airplane that “has been chartered frequently by the White House for the press corps traveling with President Bush.”

EXcuse Me

Three news item

By our correspondent
CHAKWAL 18 Oct: District government Chakwal and its two Tehsil Councils,
Chakwal and Talagang were at logger heads with each other and due to this
confrontation various mega development projects and billions of Rupees
development funds were lapsed that were given by the Federal and provincial
governments for the welfare of the people. The confrontation between
District Nazim Chakwal Sardar Ghulam Abbas with the Tehsil NazimTallagang
late Malik Tariq Iqbal have been started from the day one as the new local
bodies system starts functioning since 14th August 2001. Late Malik Tariq
Iqbal and Sardar Ghulam Abbas both had rival political groups and both
belong to these two different groups. Later on District Nazim Chakwal and
Tehsil Nazim Chakwal Amir Bhatti confronted with each other despite both had
the same Political group. Tehsil Council Tallagang have spent Rs. 10 million
and constructed a market committee and when it was completed District
government apposed it and they supported the trades and private market
committee that was owned by a Nazim Union Council Tallagang and incidentally
the union Nazim was the supporter of District Nazim Chakwal. This issue was
still pending from the last two years. District government developed
differences with Tehsil Council Chakwal when Federal Government provided a
grant of Rs. 100 Millions for sanitation and drinking water for the one lack
population of Chakwal City and the dispute occurred between the two councils
and the funds were withdrawn by the Federal Government. There was a
co-ordination committee constituted under the new local bodies ordinance and
according to the rules District Nazim is to preside over the meeting and all
the Nazmeen of Tehsil councils were mandatory to attend it and this
co-ordination committee would solve the problems and other issues related to
district and Tehsil Councils and this Commatie would have to meet once in a
month. It is pity that this co-ordination committee becomes non-functional
as both the nazimeen of Tehsil council Talagang and Tehsil Council Chakwal
were reluctant to attend this committee meeting from the last two years. The
meeting of co-ordination committee of the current month was held on Monday
and as expected Tehsil Nazim Tallagang and Tehsil Nazim Chakwal abstained
themselves from this meeting and it was presided over by District Nazim
Chakwal Sardar Ghulam Abbas while only Tehsil Nazim Choa Sadan Shah attended
the meeting.

Chakwal. The prosecution and the Medical report confirmed the crime
committed by the accused.

Anger and Frustration

A father once wanted to illustrate

to his son the difference between

“ frustration” and “anger”.

To illustrate the point he looked

up the telephone number of a

pompous chap he knew, and

dialled the number. When the call

was answered the father asked “Is

Fred there?”

“There’s no Fred here”, came the

terse reply. The father dialled the

same number again. “Is Fred

there?” “No!” roared the man,

“Now why don’t you get the

right number before you dial at

this time of night?”.

“Now that,” said the father when

he put down the phone. “is simply

annoyance. We will wait a few

minutes and then try again”.

After a decent interval the father

dialled the same number again

and asked “Is Fred there?” This

time the other man screamed

back “What’s the matter with you

– are you crazy? I told you to look

up the number and stop bothering

me!” “Now that was anger”, said

the father. “Now I will show you

the difference between anger and

 frustration”.

After 15 minutes or so the father

dialled the same number for the

fourth time and when the same

man answered again, the father

said almost cheerily – “Hello,

this is Fred. Have there been any

messages for me in the last half

hour or so?!”

Eletions and Responsibility of Executive Committee

Election, procedure that allows members of an organization or community to choose representatives who will hold positions of authority within it. The most important elections select the leaders of local, state, and national governments. The chance to decide who will govern at these levels serves as an opportunity for the public to make choices about the policies, programs, and future directions of government action. At the same time, elections promote accountability. The threat of defeat at the polls exerts pressure on those in power to conduct themselves in a responsible manner and take account of popular interests and wishes when they make their decisions.

Eletions and Responsibility of Executive Committee

4. To lay down a time frame for election for the PANZ General Committee, no sooner then 24 months from the last election and not later than 25 months from the last elections.

5. Act as a neutral election commission and hold free and fair election in given time frame.

6. Take control of the administrative and legal issues of PANZ i.e Registration, filing of accounts to the Registrar of Companies, ensuring mail box are current and paid.

7. Take over the charge of all other matters e.g banks accounts etc at least 15 days before the election from the existing body and handover to the new elected body not later then 15 days after election.

8. Ensuring that the Oath Taking ceremony will take place with in 10 days of the election date.

"Schedule in Hell"

One day, a guy dies and finds himself in Hell.
As he is wallowing in despair, he has his first
meeting with a demon:

Demon: Why so glum, chum?

Guy: What do you think? I'm in Hell.

Demon: Hell's not so bad. We actually have a
lot of fun down here. You a drinkin' man?

Guy: Sure, I love to drink.

Demon: Well, you're gonna love Mondays then.
On Mondays, that's all we do is drink. Whiskey,
tequila, Guinness, wine coolers, diet Tab... we
drink till we throw up and then we drink some more.

Guy: Gee, that sounds great.

Demon: You a smoker?

Guy: You better believe it.

Demon: All right! You're gonna love Tuesdays. We
get the finest cigars from around the world and smoke
our friggin' lungs out. If you get cancer, it's okay... you're
already dead.

Guy: Golly!

Demon: I bet you like to gamble.

Guy: Yes, as a matter of fact I do.

Demon: Good, because Wednesday is gambling day.
Craps, blackjack, horse races, you name it. We even
opened up a pai gow poker table.

Guy: Gosh, I never played pai gow before...

Demon: Well now you can. You like to do drugs?

Guy: Yes, I love to do drugs. You don't mean...

Demon: That's right! Thursday is drug day. Help yourself
to a great big bowl of crack. Smoke a doobie the size of
a submarine. You can do all the drugs you want, and if
you overdose, it's okay... you're already dead.

Guy: Neat! I never realized that hell was such a swingin' place!

Demon: You gay?

Guy: Uh, no.

Demon: Oooh, you're gonna hate Fridays..

A Shot of Scotch

Three mice are sitting at a bar in a pretty rough
neighborhood late at night trying to impress
each other about how tough they are.

The first mouse pounds a shot of scotch, slams
the glass onto the bar, turns to the second
mouse and says, "When I see a mousetrap, I
lie on my back and set it off with my foot. When
the bar comes down, I catch it in my teeth, bench
press it twenty times to work up an appetite, and
then make off with the cheese."

The second mouse orders up two shots of sour
mash, pounds them both, slams each glass onto
the bar, turns to the first mouse, and replies,
"Yeah, well when I see rat poison, I collect as
much as I can, take it home, grind it up to a powder,
and add it to my coffee each morning so I can get
a good buzz going for the rest of the day."

The first mouse and the second mouse then turn
to the third mouse.

The third mouse lets out a long sigh and says to
the first two, "I don't have time for this. I've got a
date with the cat."

"WHICH ONE OF YOU FOOL STOLE MY HOSS?"

A cowboy rode into town and stopped at local cafe for a coke.

Unfortunately, the locals always had a habit of picking on strangers,

which he was. When he finished his drink, he found his horse had

been stolen.

He goes back into the cafe, handily flips his gun into the air, catches it

above his head without even looking and fires a shot into the ceiling.

"WHICH ONE OF YOU FOOLS  STOLE MY HOSS?" he yelled with surprising forcefulness. No one answered.

"ALRIGHT, I'M GONNA HAVE ANOTHA COKE, AND IF MY HOSS AIN'T

BACK OUTSIDE BY THE TIME I FINNISH, I'M GONNA DO WHAT I

DUN IN TEXAS! AND I DON'T LIKE TO HAVE TO DO WHAT I DUN IN

TEXAS!"

Some of the locals shifted restlessly.

He had another coke, walked outside, and his horse is back!

He saddles-up and starts to ride out of town.

The cook wanders out of the cafe and asks, "Say partner,

before you go... what happened in Texas?"

The cowboy turned back and said, "I had to walk home

A Letter from Michael Moore to George W. Bush

A Letter from Michael Moore to George W. Bush on the Eve of War

by Michael Moore

George W. Bush

1600 Pennsylvania Ave.

Washington, DC

Dear Governor Bush:

So today is what you call "the moment of truth," the day that "France and the rest of world have to show their cards on the table." I'm glad to hear that this day has finally arrived. Because, I gotta tell ya, having survived

440 days of your lying and conniving, I wasn't sure if I could take much more. So I'm glad to hear that today is Truth Day, 'cause I got a few truths I would like to share with you:

1. There is virtually NO ONE in America (talk radio nutters and Fox News aside) who is gung-ho to go to war. Trust me on this one. Walk out of the

White House and on to any street in America and try to find five people who are PASSIONATE about wanting to kill Iraqis. YOU WON'T FIND THEM! Why?

'Cause NO Iraqis have ever come here and killed any of us! No Iraqi has even threatened to do that. You see, this is how we average Americans think: If a certain so-and-so is not perceived as a threat to our lives, then, believe

it or not, we don't want to kill him! Funny how that works!

2. The majority of Americans -- the ones who never elected you -- are not fooled by your weapons of mass distraction. We know what the real issues are that affect our daily lives -- and none of them begin with I or end in Q. Here's what threatens us: two and a half million jobs lost since you took office, the stock market having become a cruel joke, no one knowing if their

retirement funds are going to be there, gas now costs almost two dollars -- the list goes on and on. Bombing Iraq will not make any of this go away. Only you need to go away for things to improve.

3. As Bill Maher said last week, how bad do you have to suck to lose a popularity contest with Saddam Hussein? The whole world is against you, Mr. Bush. Count your fellow Americans among them.

4. The Pope has said this war is wrong, that it is a SIN. The Pope! But even worse, the Dixie Chicks have now come out against you! How bad does it have

to get before you realize that you are an army of one on this war? Of course, this is a war you personally won't have to fight. Just like when you went AWOL while the poor were shipped to Vietnam in your place.

5. Of the 535 members of Congress, only ONE (Sen. Johnson of South Dakota) has an enlisted son or daughter in the armed forces! If you really want to

stand up for America, please send your twin daughters over to Kuwait right now and let them don their chemical warfare suits. And let's see every member of Congress with a child of military age also sacrifice their kids

for this war effort. What's that you say? You don't THINK so? Well, hey, guess what -- we don't think so either!

6. Finally, we love France. Yes, they have pulled some royal screw-ups. Yes, some of them can pretty damn annoying. But have you forgotten we wouldn't even have this country known as America if it weren't for the French? That it was their help in the Revolutionary War that won it for us? That our greatest thinkers and founding fathers -- Thomas Jefferson, Ben Franklin, etc. -- spent many years in Paris where they refined the concepts that lead to our Declaration of Independence and our Constitution? That it was France who gave us our Statue of Liberty, a Frenchman who built the Chevrolet, and

a pair of French brothers who invented the movies? And now they are doing what only a good friend can do -- tell you the truth about yourself, straight, no b.s. Quit pissing on the French and thank them for getting it right for once. You know, you really should have traveled more (like once) before you took over. Your ignorance of the world has not only made you look stupid, it has painted you into a corner you can't get out of.

Well, cheer up -- there IS good news. If you do go through with this war, more than likely it will be over soon because I'm guessing there aren't a lot of Iraqis willing to lay down their lives to protect Saddam Hussein.

After you "win" the war, you will enjoy a huge bump in the popularity polls as everyone loves a winner -- and who doesn't like to see a good ass-whoopin' every now and then (especially when it 's some third world ass!). So try your best to ride this victory all the way to next year's

election. Of course, that's still a long ways away, so we'll all get to have a good hardy-har-har while we watch the economy sink even further down the toilet!

But, hey, who knows -- maybe you'll find Osama a few days before the election! See, start thinking like THAT! Keep hope alive! Kill Iraqis -- they got our oil!!

Yours, Michael Moore

In Pakistan, it is a fashion to break law and get away with from miner innocent mistake to murder, depend how fat your pocket is.

Once a delegation from France came to Pakistan to access improvements in its life style and people behaviour

One morning , In Pakistani heat of June, July, standing on closed railways crossing (PHHATAK), waiting for rail to crass, they saw a man come on his cycle right up to bearer, get off from cycle in hurry, lift his bike over his head put it on other side of bearer, while seeing the train is coming he shot across the railway lines and do the same on other side of bearer

Pakistani who was host of this delegation, told the delegation “look this bike man is so eager to go to work , he must be getting late from his work that’s why he did not care about his life, and put his life on risk to get to work”

Frenchman says to his colleague “this nation will rise very high one day”

Railway crossing open, all go, every body were in surprised, when they saw that bike man was watching road side Monkey show (BANDER TAMASHA)

12 pound nugget

In a South American mining district Mrs. Brown presented her
husband with a 12 pound baby boy. Mr. Brown was so delighted
that he went to the News office and told that he had found a
12 pound nugget of gold as good as any to be found in South
America. The paper, naturally, sent a reporter to get
particulars. This is what happened:

Reporter:  Does Mr. Brown live here?
Mrs.Brown: He does.
Reporter:  Is he in?
Mrs.Brown: No he isn't.
Reporter:  I understand he found a nugget of gold weighing
12 pounds.
Mrs.Brown: (Seeing the joke) Yes.
Reporter:  Can you show me the exact location where it was
found?
Mrs.Brown: I'm afraid Mr. Brown would object as it is
private.
Reporter:  Is the hole far from here?
Mrs.Brown: No, it is quite handy.
Reporter:  Has Mr. Brown been working the claim long?
Mrs.Brown: Almost ten months.
Reporter:  Was Mr. Brown the first to work it?
Mrs.Brown: He thought he was.
Reporter:  Was the work difficult?
Mrs.Brown: It was at first but easier after the shaft
opened.
Reporter:  Is the water plentiful?
Mrs.Brown: Yes, sufficient to carry on the work.
Reporter:  Has he gotten to the bottom yet?
Mrs.Brown: No, but quite near it.
Reporter:  Do you think there are any more nuggets?
Mrs.Brown: Yes, if the claim is properly worked.
Reporter:  Has he worked it since he found the nugget?
Mrs.Brown: No, but I told him it was time to start.
Reporter:  Do you help him?
Mrs.Brown: I do my level best.
Reporter:  Do you think he will sell the claim?
Mrs.Brown: No, he finds too much pleasure in working it
himself.
Reporter:  Can I see the nugget?
Mrs.Brown: Certainly.

She brought the baby in for inspection. The embarrassed
reporter departed very fast.

Life Insurance Policy

Jill was discussing the various aspects and possible
outcome of the Insurance policy with the clerk at the
Insurance Agency.

During the discussion, she asked, "Suppose I take the
life insurance for my husband today and tomorrow he
dies? What will I get?"

The clerk eyed her suspiciously and replied, "A Life
Sentence"

Politicians

Once upon a time, in a nice little forest, there lived an orphaned bunny and an orphaned snake. A surprising coincidence was that both were blind since birth.

One day, the bunny was hopping through the forest, and the snake was slithering through the forest, when the bunny tripped over the snake and fell down. This, of course, knocked the snake about quite a bit.

"Oh, my," said the bunny, "I'm terribly sorry. I didn't mean to hurt you. I've been blind since birth, so I can't see where I'm going. In fact, since I'm also an orphan, I don't even know what I am."

"It's quite okay," replied the snake. "Actually, my story is much the same as yours. I, too, have been blind since birth, and also never knew my mother."

"Tell you what, maybe I could kinda slither over you, and figure out what you are, so at least you'll have that going for you."

"Oh, that would be wonderful," replied the bunny.

So the snake slithered all over the bunny, and said, "Well, you're covered with soft fur; you have really long ears; your nose twitches; and you have a soft cottony tail. I'd say that you must be a bunny."

"Oh, thank you! Thank you," cried the bunny in obvious excitement.

"Maybe I could feel you with my paw, and help you the same way you've helped me."

So the bunny felt the snake all over, and remarked, "Well, you're scaly and slimy, and you have a forked tongue, and no backbone. I'd say you must be a politician."
