Asalam o Alakum,
On behalf of the Pakistani Women's Organisation of NZ as one of the 8 executives I would like to make it clear to everyone that in our respected community there have been rumours going around mentioning that pakistani women have opened up an association in competition with Panz, which is extremely incorrect and it has not crossed anyone of our minds about this thinking. We have opened up a social group for women in our community to sit together and enjoy each others company and to make us a stronger bunch so that in future our off springs have the same sorts of opportunities and also so that our kids have knowledge of what incredible events our religion and culture hold. This is all to do with socialising with each other nothing to do with unwanted politics, we are open to work with all other multi-culture New Zealand's community's women organisations and social groups as long as they have respect of our morals and beliefs and we have the same for them. Without the community support we will never be able to reach our goals of being one. We will like to thank the president of Panz for taking the first step into supporting us by hiring us a hall for our first event ( details at the bottom of the page.) it will be well appreciated if others do the same. We have just began with this idea and are hoping for a long and encouraging journey ahead of us.
We have thought of a name for our organisation and we have come up with Pakistani Women's organisation of NZ, (pakwomenz) if anyone has any other ideas towards the name please recommend it to us on sohni dhari. Thankyou. Atiya syed
