Following decisions were taken and are announced for the community.
The "AGM" will be held on Monday 01/02/2010 between 6-9 PM at 48,Oriana Ave LynField Auckland
The 'PANZ'S Election nominations papers / applications will be received / closed starting from NOW/today(18/01/2010) till 2PM, Monday 14/02/2010
Each applicant or groups / Panel (collectively) contesting will deposit election Fee $500 with the election commission along with the application NON Refundable.
The elections will be held on Sunday 21/02/2001 between ,3-6PM ,at Wellesly community Center/ Hall OR 'A' place specified/Notified well before the time.
The election commission consist of the following who can be reached and contacted as per mutual connivance.
The applications are to be lodged in Person and receipt to be issued/received,NO posts at all to avoid any confusions or doubts please,thanks.

As election 2010 are coming close, no panel is officially announced, but rumors are circulating in community that Mr. Tauqir Khan is launching his panel , on other hand Pakistan business group is bringing its panel too which will consist from all quarter Auckland .
If there are two groups are in arena, then there would be election and if there will be an election then there will be voting, for voting you have to be a register member
Some said, without Executive of community it can be a constitutional ROLA.

Criteria for the candidates
In order to qualify for nomination for the 2010 Election, the candidates need to satisfy the following criteria:
Must be Pakistani permanent resident of NZ or Pakistani-granted NZ citizenship.
Must be a paid member
Minimum age 25 years
CV in detail with previous experience
Preferably should have experience in running an organisation
Attested copy of the passport to accompany the nomination papers.
Affidavit declaring that the candidate does not have any conviction or criminal record and is not a bankrupt.
Only paid members are eligible to vote
The membership will close three days prior to Elections. And member ship fee is $10

In PANZ AGM . Mr. Tauqir Khan said , he is approached by many Pakistanis to contest for presidency of PANZ , but he hasn’t decided yet, to participate in election or not , he said he has penal of four good people who can work for community and unit the community.

i just want to have your kind attention on the matter that we respect you alot as you have been nominated by panz authorities to conduct the elections. but panz constitution is very much there to give guidelines. First of all it has been unaimously approved in the Panz AGM 2006 that any 2yr valid work permit holder will be elligible to be part of official panz team. Though i am also of the opinion that permanent residents or cttizens should come forward to serve the community.
Secondly there is nothing mentioned about the previous experience of the candidates.
Third and the most important point is the candidate should not be the office bearer of any other non profitable organization.

Election nomination date is approaching, still there no official announcement by election commission as they are waiting for nomination papers by any panel
At the moment Mr. Tauqir Khan is in arena , who has announced that he has got panel of six people, pak community is waiting for their names . Few of community members asked for their names , accroding to Sohni Dharti's reports Choudhry Rustam is very active asking people to become member of PANZ. And lobbying for Mr. Khan
PANZ'S membership is all time low as we can see by accounts , we have very few paid members.
Membership is our strength , we must find the way to encourage Pak people to become members , take part in election.
Talking with Sohni Dharti. President of PANZ . Jamshaid ul Hussan said "I have no attantion to run for PANZ electron 2010 , we have done few good functions , we kept community unite , no one has complaint against us. If approached by community, we will serve even better with our experience.

Talking with Sohni Dharti , former president of Pakistan association Naveed Hamid said "Mr. Khan panel is ready, if Mr. Hussen is also bringing his panel, this means election , for elections we need membership , which is all time low. He said PANZ have lack of communication , in his time of presidency he left 800 members , but unfortunately no one bothered to update it or even look after it . Mr. Hamid added "I have put hard work to prepare this DATA base , it is a very use full thing to commutate with PANZ. members , he said we used to have an Email address , which I gave to waqar Ali , if some have access to this Email address please come forward. It can help us in communications with our members .
In telephone conversation with Sohni Dharti . Jamshaid ul Hussen said he will not contest against Mr Khan , Mr Khan is senior and well experienced member of our community and I believe Mr. Khan will bring good this community , said Mr. Hussen
Mr. Tauqir Khan said he has got his panel , ready to submit application to election commission , in Mr Khan’s panel . Iyaz Manzoor, Rustam Choudhry, Imran Akram and Malik Wasim , Mr Khan said it time for change , it time to mend old wounds, it is time to bring community to gather, it is time to prosper

I fully agree with Mr Naveed ...present Panz set up is a family based setup where everyone needs to be respectfull. How can Mr. Atta form a panel , he himself is drop off from PANZ , he is the one who started flag issue now he is fly with Mr. Khan. How can he ask people support PANZ , while he himself resigned in mid of his term . Said Jamshaid ul Hussan. He added Mr Atta was failure for PANZ . He will bring nothing but a failure to PANZ.
