The Election commissioners confirm that an objection has been lodged by Mr Javed Iqbal (who is the president of Muslim League New Zealand) to the nomination of Mr Tauqir Khan. The Election Commissioners have forwarded the objection to Mr Tauqir Khan for his comments. The Election Commissioners will meet again to take a decision after receiving Mr Tauqir Khan’s response to the objection.

Since your papers have not been accepted, please resubmit your nomination papers, you are also required to pay an additional fee of $85.00 as discussed. You may send the papers by email, please ensure that the copies of your PP and NICOP card are attested by JP. Your statement that Mr Haider Lone has made derogatory remarks about your panel as back door entry will be brought to the notice of the PANZ president Mr Jamshaid Hasan. If this matter needs further action you will be asked to provide a proof that Mr Haider Lone has made these remarks. As far as public hearing of the flag issue is concerned, I do not think it is within the jurisdiction of the Election Commission to hold this kind of hearing. We are going to take an independent legal opinion from a lawyer who is not known to me about the objections raised by Mr Javed Iqbal about the flag incident to determine the effect of this objection on Mr Tauqir Khan’s nomination. We are convinced that this matter will need to be resolved in the light of New Zealand law if PANZ constitution does not provide sufficient information to resolve this issue. I am very pleased that my comments about the flag have been made public by the culprit who took the community matter to local polticians and even to pakistan.
If anybody can prove that the Flag was disgraced I will submit a public apology but I or my wife or the complainent were not there. I met those sisters and children who wre in closed door rehearsal of miilli songs and they categorically denied such an incident.
At the same time I want all ghairatmand Pakistanies to stop this man who has tried to insult our ladies,our flag and our community. Good news for Pakistan community , now, it won’t be an "easy come easy go" situation, contenders have to convinced the public for their vote. elected body will know its worth and fulfil the demands of community . The constitution of PANZ requires the election commission to have one chairman and two members. The elction commission is not complete and any decision cannot be taken with two different opinions and it is heading to a deadlock.
PANZ must act immediately and appoint the third member which is missing. This person must be of high integrity like Mr Habib. Haider's statement to call our panel's entry as a backdoor entry is the insut of the election commission.

Can we get to know Mr. Khan's pannel a bit more. It'll be nice if they could post their members' profiles and the panel's governing policy and objectives.
I have been through the site and enjoyed the browsing experience, while somewhat saddened to read some of the views. I would have not wasted my time writing here unless some of the remarks that I found extremely disturbing rather enforced me to add my penny's worth!
I have met Mr. Khan at a few instances and found him a man with good heart overall. I never thought he would mean any harm to any one till I tried to know more about him by ways of reading his remarks here; and speaking to several people who were close to him and/or dealt with him for business and social reasons.
Mr. Khan seemed to have crossed the line clearly while writing remarks about a person that I don't know much as well as others for that matter except that his name is Javed and he was son of Rikshaw driver. Is there any thing wrong with being a Rikshaw driver or a son of Rikshaw driver? In summary, Mr. Khan has called him in an abusing manner; threatened him for deportation; and accused him for a number of things! I am rather disappointed to read all this; especially, from some one who is coming forward to represent a community of 2000+ people in New Zealand.
We all know leaders are always accused, abused, and hit with shoes (in Iraq especially); but they don't go back mouthing and biting back! I am not sure how bad other person is, but I don't find Mr. Khan any different in this instance either.
I went ahead and spoke to several people who knew Mr. Khan and to whom Mr. Khan claimed as his friends. They all mentioned that Mr. Khan was a man clear and clean from physical evils such as adultory, theft, etc. However, they all said that Mr. Khan was always sensitive of his position and ego. In fact, as they said, Mr. Khan often either exaggerated or told lies to uplift his position. He is known to tell people that:
1. Pakistani leading politicians (likes of Bhuttos, Zias, and Mushariffs); powerful and influential figures; sportsmen and just about every one significant in the country is either his best pal, buddy, friend; or seeks his guidance! 2. He has been the one doing every thing, with every one, for every one and so on... 3. Writing letters to government officials in Pakistan and exaggerating his position in a misleading manner. 4. He is known to hate and dislike his fellow community members; the ones who have risen to high levels.
Some even said that he used to be behind writing malicious and obnoxious letters against targeted individuals with anonymous identity!
Whilst, these are the views of several people; I've opted to stay anonymous in this matter and thought it important to have it available to all considering to support Mr. Khan towards his candidature for the position of President of PANZ.
In fairness, it also gives an opportunity to Mr. Khan to respond to the concerns of wider community and reconsider his position for the candidature of President of PANZ.
Sorry to remain anonymous, please conduct a thorough examination of the incident to establish the truth.
The flag incident did happen, participants have admitted it in private. It was a huge mistake on the part of the organizers. They should have come forward to admit their mistake and apologize to the community and the matter should have ended there.The chairperson was there and so was the daughter in law who was conducting the aerobics session and the lady who admitted to it online was there, an office holder in the Government and so was another senior lady Government employee and many other members also took part and each one knows who they are and so does the community. Things like this happen when mob mentality takes over and people blindly follow the leader and later when they are on their own realize what a thoughtless act they committed but are too ashamed to admit it.
So please stop throwing dust in the eyes of the community, apologize and the matter should end there.This matter should not go beyond the community. I am sure the community will forgive but someone must be willing to apologize to bring closure.
Also some nominees have become controversial and should consider withdrawing as they cannot justify leading the community.
Dear Mr Tauqir Khan, We are sure you have received our email in the form of Election Commission Statement. We would like to inform you that your objection raise on 19th Feb to the validity of the Election Commission is invalid on the following grounds:
The Election Commission was announced last month and no one raised any objection till 18th Feb 10. You submitted your nomination papers for the first time to this Election Commission without raising any objection, which means that you accepted this Election Commission. If you had any objections to this Election Commission you should not have submitted your papers and instead you should have raised the objection to the constitution of the Commission. You submitted your nomination papers again 0n 19th Feb 10, which means that you accepted the Commission for the second time.
The Election Commission has not given any opinion about the objections raised by Mr Javed Iqbal. We would like to resolve this matter in such a manner that the solution is acceptable to the wider Pakistani Community on the basis of its merit. We do understand that it is taking time but we do not want to make a controversial decision and leave the community fighting over it.
We have taken into consideration all avenues and would like to take an undisputed decision.
We are making an effort to unite the Community and bring everybody on the same platform. We hope to restore the respect of not only PANZ but also the entire Pakistani Community in New Zealand.
We do expect the cooperation of everybody to achieve our goals. Let us rise above ourselves and think at Community/National level. Let us put the interest of our Community above our own interests.

In this day and age people live in their circles and live very aware and very unaware at the same time for obvious reasons as busy life style one of them! Things go un-noticed even they are happening right under our nose!
I must admit I don't come looking for information in this part of the niche data base; but recently (during last day or two) I've noticed communication by a person referred to as Mr. Khan and such communication by Mr. Khan joins with the missing links that we are searching for a while now.
Folks, as you might be aware that Pakistan has been flooded by overseas terrorists from various nations. Such terrorists did not necessarily come cross borders but trained in western countries by the enemies and then diffused to Pakistan through organized channels. There is an assumption - and I have to be careful with the choice of words here as it is an assumption - that terrorists from Indian, Uzbek and Tajik origins diffused to Pakistan through western countries and New Zealand is one of them. Apparently, such people were facilitated by some one whose description is very similar to Mr. Khan of a travel agency business.
It is understood that Mr. Khan always pretended that he had links with the highest level authorities in Pakistan, which was untrue. People even knowing it was untrue did not think suspicious of Mr. Khan assuming it was his personality. On the other hand Mr. Khan had clear ties and business with many Indians, especially the new comers to whom Mr. Khan provided lots of services of legal and illegal nature out of the way! He even went to the air port and ensured clearance for the departure of many non Pakistanis travelling to Pakistan. Moreover, he provided services to people from his office to obtain Pakistani passports. He continued misleading that he had links at the Pakistan embassies and high commissions in Australia and New Zealand, which was obviously not the case. Mr. Khan managed to obtain Pakistani passports for many people and sent them to Pakistan.
This information is placed here for people close to Mr. Khan so they are now more aware and watchful of Mr. Khan's activities.

The nomination papers supplied by you do not prove that your nationality is Pakistani. The passport copy supplied shows that you are a New Zealand citizen and born at Delhi.
No decision has been taken with regard to the objection raised by Javeed Iqbal about the issue of Pakistani flag.

We have to unite the community, take away the ego which has spoiled the whole atmosphere. Nobody has spoken a word that who gave the right to dishonour the Pakistani flag by propogating the matter to local politicians. The ladies and children who were singing Pakistani mili songs wre blamed without any proof and destroyed the ladies club. all these women and children were pakistani like all of us.
Does Haider has the courage to defend Pakistani mother,sisters and children who have been disgraced in front of New Zealand government by a crook. For a moment if you believe this incident took place in an innocent way by the children some of community elders could go and make them realize the mistake instead of filing FIR in police and requesting New Zealand government to take notice.

Your statement that Mr Haider Lone has made derogatory remarks about your panel as back door entry will be brought to the notice of the PANZ president Mr Jamshaid Hasan. If this matter needs further action you will be asked to provide a proof that Mr Haider Lone has made these remarks.
As far as public hearing of the flag issue is concerned, I do not think it is within the jurisdiction of the Election Commission to hold this kind of hearing.
We are going to take an independent legal opinion from a lawyer who is not known to me about the objections raised by Mr Javed Iqbal about the flag incident to determine the effect of this objection on Mr Tauqir Khan’s nomination.
We are convinced that this matter will need to be resolved in the light of New Zealand law if PANZ constitution does not provide sufficient information to resolve this issue.
We are determined to ensure that the election is transparent and fair.
If at any stage we feel that the election procedure is being undermined, we might have to involve wider Pakistani Community/other authorities for support so that the Election Commission can perform the duties assigned without any pressure.
We have deliberately marked a copy of this email to the former presidents of PANZ and others involved in this issue to keep them in the loop.
We do not have email address of Mr Javed Iqbal who has raised the objection but we will ensure that he will come to know about the contents of this email.
Since this issue has become quite sensitive and very public, we will appreciate if all involved in this matter have faith in the Election Commission and do not try to influence us. Although the correspondence with regard to the election should remain confidential, the Election Commission will not hesitate to make any correspondence public, if it is felt that the efforts are being made to sway the procedure.

I am very pleased that my comments about the flag have been made public by the culprit who took the community matter to local polticians and even to pakistan.
If anybody can prove that the Flag was disgraced I will submit a public apology but I or my wife or the complainent were not there. I met those sisters and children who wre in closed door rehearsal of miilli songs
and they categorically denied such an incident.

The constitution of PANZ requires the election commission to have one chairman and two members. The elction commission is not complete and any decision cannot be taken with two different opinions and it is heading to a deadlock.
PANZ must act immediately and appoint the third member which is missing. This person must be of high integrity like Mr Habib. Haider's statement to call our panel's entry as a backdoor entry is the insut of the election commission.

It already too late, if election commission is finding hard to make decision about election I can appoint third election commissioner to help them to speed up the process. This is in continuation to the email issued today. We should have made it clear this morning that the nominations closed yesterday and we have not received nomination papers of any other panel.

In the light of the fact that the incumbent panel and some other respectable community members have objected to Mr Haider’s impartiality, it has been decided that a panel of neutral people will be nominated by the Election Commission to sort out this issue. We want to make a decision which should be widely acceptable.

I have been through the site and enjoyed the browsing experience, while somewhat saddened to read some of the views. I would have not wasted my time writing here unless some of the remarks that I found extremely disturbing rather enforced me to add my penny's worth!
I have met Mr. Khan at a few instances and found him a man with good heart overall. I never thought he would mean any harm to any one till I tried to know more about him by ways of reading his remarks here; and speaking to several people who were close to him and/or dealt with him for business and social reasons.
Mr. Khan seemed to have crossed the line clearly while writing remarks about a person that I don't know much as well as others for that matter except that his name is Javed and he was son of Rikshaw driver. Is there any thing wrong with being a Rikshaw driver or a son of Rikshaw driver? In summary, Mr. Khan has called him in an abusing manner; threatened him for deportation; and accused him for a number of things! I am rather disappointed to read all this; especially, from some one who is coming forward to represent a community of 2000+ people in New Zealand.
We all know leaders are always accused, abused, and hit with shoes (in Iraq especially); but they don't go back mouthing and biting back! I am not sure how bad other person is, but I don't find Mr. Khan any different in this instance either.
I went ahead and spoke to several people who knew Mr. Khan and to whom Mr. Khan claimed as his friends. They all mentioned that Mr. Khan was a man clear and clean from physical evils such as adultory, theft, etc. However, they all said that Mr. Khan was always sensitive of his position and ego. In fact, as they said, Mr. Khan often either exaggerated or told lies to uplift his position. He is known to tell people that:
1. Pakistani leading politicians (likes of Bhuttos, Zias, and Mushariffs); powerful and influential figures; sportsmen and just about every one significant in the country is either his best pal, buddy, friend; or seeks his guidance!
2. He has been the one doing every thing, with every one, for every one and so on...
3. Writing letters to government officials in Pakistan and exaggerating his position in a misleading manner.
4. He is known to hate and dislike his fellow community members; the ones who have risen to high levels.
Some even said that he used to be behind writing malicious and obnoxious letters against targeted individuals with anonymous identity!
Whilst, these are the views of several people; I've opted to stay anonymous in this matter and thought it important to have it available to all considering to support Mr. Khan towards his candidature for the position of President of PANZ.
In fairness, it also gives an opportunity to Mr. Khan to respond to the concerns of wider community and reconsider his position for the candidature of President of PANZ.
Sorry to remain anonymous, please conduct a thorough examination of the incident to establish the truth.
The flag incident did happen, participants have admitted it in private. It was a huge mistake on the part of the organizers. They should have come forward to admit their mistake and apologize to the community and the matter should have ended there.The chairperson was there and so was the daughter in law who was conducting the aerobics session and the lady who admitted to it online was there, an office holder in the Government and so was another senior lady Government employee and many other members also took part and each one knows who they are and so does the community. Things like this happen when mob mentality takes over and people blindly follow the leader and later when they are on their own realize what a thoughtless act they committed but are too ashamed to admit it.
So please stop throwing dust in the eyes of the community, apologize and the matter should end there.This matter should not go beyond the community. I am sure the community will forgive but someone must be willing to apologize to bring closure.
Also some nominees have become controversial and should consider withdrawing as they cannot justify leading the community.

We are sure you have received our email in the form of Election Commission Statement. We would like to inform you that your objection raise on 19th Feb to the validity of the Election Commission is invalid on the following grounds:
The Election Commission was announced last month and no one raised any objection till 18th Feb 10.
You submitted your nomination papers for the first time to this Election Commission without raising any objection, which means that you accepted this Election Commission.
If you had any objections to this Election Commission you should not have submitted your papers and instead you should have raised the objection to the constitution of the Commission.
You submitted your nomination papers again 0n 19th Feb 10, which means that you accepted the Commission for the second time.
The Election Commission has not given any opinion about the objections raised by Mr Javed Iqbal. We would like to resolve this matter in such a manner that the solution is acceptable to the wider Pakistani Community on the basis of its merit. We do understand that it is taking time but we do not want to make a controversial decision and leave the community fighting over it.
We have taken into consideration all avenues and would like to take an undisputed decision.
We are making an effort to unite the Community and bring everybody on the same platform. We hope to restore the respect of not only PANZ but also the entire Pakistani Community in New Zealand.
We do expect the cooperation of everybody to achieve our goals.
Let us rise above ourselves and think at Community/National level.

IS HE THE MAN?
In this day and age people live in their circles and live very aware and very unaware at the same time for obvious reasons as busy life style one of them! Things go un-noticed even they are happening right under our nose!
I must admit I don't come looking for information in this part of the niche data base; but recently (during last day or two) I've noticed communication by a person referred to as Mr. Khan and such communication by Mr. Khan joins with the missing links that we are searching for a while now.
Folks, as you might be aware that Pakistan has been flooded by overseas terrorists from various nations. Such terrorists did not necessarily come cross borders but trained in western countries by the enemies and then diffused to Pakistan through organized channels. There is an assumption - and I have to be careful with the choice of words here as it is an assumption - that terrorists from Indian, Uzbek and Tajik origins diffused to Pakistan through western countries and New Zealand is one of them. Apparently, such people were facilitated by some one whose description is very similar to Mr. Khan of a travel agency business.
It is understood that Mr. Khan always pretended that he had links with the highest level authorities in Pakistan, which was untrue. People even knowing it was untrue did not think suspicious of Mr. Khan assuming it was his personality. On the other hand Mr. Khan had clear ties and business with many Indians, especially the new comers to whom Mr. Khan provided lots of services of legal and illegal nature out of the way! He even went to the air port and ensured clearance for the departure of many non Pakistanis travelling to Pakistan. Moreover, he provided services to people from his office to obtain Pakistani passports. He continued misleading that he had links at the Pakistan embassies and high commissions in Australia and New Zealand, which was obviously not the case. Mr. Khan managed to obtain Pakistani passports for many people and sent them to Pakistan.
This information is placed here for people close to Mr. Khan so they are now more aware and watchful of Mr. Khan's activities.

01) So much water has gone through the bridge.Its better for E.C to give new and fresh dates for Election.
02) In future E.C. personnel should be odd no instead of even 03(three) is ideal. matter / dispute can be resolve via voting amounf E>C members.
03) Pannel should submiit C.V of its pannel members plus menifasto to E.C
04) Earnest money refundable should be atleast 5000NZD for a pannel.If pannel loses then it shouold be refunded fully n if he wins thenmoney should be transfered to PANZ account.
05) Age limit should be their minimum 25 years Maximum 65 years. remember John Key nObamaare in their late forties.

What a strange and clumsy decision Election commition has made. Mr. Khan extra marital affairs may be his personal (if Don Brash do it , he gets kicked out ) matter but how come an ill-mannered language he has used against me become personal matter , this not a personal matter it is public matter, this means Mr. Habib and Haider lone are saying that it is ok to use ill-mannered language publicly . Even lowest of low will condemned this types of language specially when it is coming from President of PANZ. I believe Mr. Khan came to power because of "deal" between Habib , Haider,Jamshaid and Mr.khan.
According to my information three above mentioned were given the green single by Mr. Khan as executive of Pak community. Said President of Pakistan Muslim League NZ. He said we believe clean and transparent politics. we unveiled the reality as it emerge
