The meeting of General Committe of Paksitan Association of New Zealand had its meeting on 10/02/2008 to review current circumstances. The meeting has decided to call a special general meeting on 16th February 2008 (Saturday) at Wesley Community Center 740 Sandringham Road Ext. Mt. Roskill. All the Community memebers are requested to come to the venue at 4:30pm and participate in it. The issues and feedback about last AGM would also be discussed in the meeting.

PAKISTAN ASSOCIATION IN TURMOIL Pakistan Association has been used by some people for their personal benefit and we are today in bad books of National Party. The leader of national said"we have been badly stung by Pakistan Associaion" The problem has been rectfied to some extent but again there are some misceants who are trying to hijack the Association and meetings are being held at peole's drwing rooms to finalise the hijack. It is pitty that these crooks will plant a person of their choice to achieve their ulterior motives. It will be a shame if Waqar resignes and the corrupt upstarts decide in their living room about the future of Pakitanies in New Zealand. I propose an honourabel new Association for the people living in central Auckland so that the southies cannot plot any takeover.
Dear Friend We are the first group of Association who invited National Party leader to invited her for a speach in 14th Augusat programm and given her more than five munits to speach. After that we have recived appreciation message from National Party, even last week Pancy Wong spoke to me at Waitangi day and she was appreciating again. We have given a start to PANZ now it is upto our community memebers that how they can keep continue it to make good relation with Labour as well as National. SGM PANZ . G,body members resign today . Due to personal reason and business commitments President of Pakistan community Waqar Ali and his team handed over their resiginition to executive of Pakistan community Jamshaid ul Hussen In his speech x president of PANZ told members of community the difficulties he faced from notables of community for fund raising He said Pakistan community owe to Mr. Hussen for his selfless work for community and appreciated him for his effort for standing by PANZ in all thick and thin Afzal Ketan said that he doesn't like PANZ begging around door to door for money In reply Mr. Waqar said "you( Ketan) are the one of those who kept us in limbo I wet to you for more then couples of time . Now you call it begging " BillaG said Mr. Ketan's previous record is not very good for donation Tauqir Khan said he is sad to see PANZ condition today , Mr. Khan said he has seen difficult times too when he was president of PANZ . For 10 years but he kept flying Pakistan flag high on TV On Radio and Mt Eden community centre, he appreciated social work of Haji Mumtaz and BillaG . During the discussion few UN parliamani word used by Nadeem Asharf , which he apologized at end of meeting Shahid Azad heavily criticise Nadeem Asharf for his abusive language in presence of ladies, Mr. Azad said this kind of attitude will chase away Pak families to take part in Pak activities, Atta ur Rahman said we should have zero talrance for this kind of behaviour no matters where its come from Talking with Sohni Dharti former President Waqar said he is not running away from community he always be a helping hand to PANZ When its needed and if any body have any question about PANZ operation , can ask him Analysis After debacle of 14 Aug function PANZ could not gain the confidence of Business community.( or maybe sharp declined in car sale) that was big setback for PANZ because business community is the main sponsor of all Pak community activities From last 20 years we have developed the habit of free food free entertainment , we think that it is PANZ representatives responsibility to raised funds and organise functions and our job is go there sit back and relaxed , this kind of attitude must be changed now otherwise PANZ will be stooge of few rich who can manipulate it for their benefits
