But one thing that is very important that we should not forget to keep our country s name and flag high. In 2007 when i was vice president i managed to grab a full size Pakistani flag from pakistan we displayed that on 23rd march 2007 ...it was the biggest flag we ever have in New Zealand. when i resigned i gifted that to Panz or in other words i left that with Panz . it was handed over to The next Panz regime by The then president Waqar bhai as per tradition and obligation.It was in the custody of Current panz President Hassan Bhai. some one borrowed that from him and the disaster is that it was used as carpet on the floor by those people ...Shammmmmmmmmmme for all of us ....I called president sahib he has nt recived that flag back yet ....i asked him to get that back and keep that in panz custody hope he wud proceed accordingly ...this message is just a request to all the people who are working in the name of beloved country that it is realy a disgrace to the our parcham ...plz do avoid these sort of happenings especially when we potray ourselves as muhib e watan

Actually the biggest flag was given to Mateen when I left PANZ it disappeared also. it was two metres wide and 1 1/2 meters in lentgh.Haji Mumtaz had it and then someone else.

If Mr. ATTA has seen such act, he must not hesitate to bring it out the name to community so we know who did it, and where it happened. If this is happened publicly then matter should be notified to Pakistan Embassy .Otherwise it will remain a riddle , if someone have any information about this issue please come forward

A flag is not a peace of paper or fabric it is a symbol of identity a sense of belongingness. It not only Pakistani flag it was a Muslim leaguei flag too. Whoever disgraced it , must brought them to Justice
PANZ is a representing Party of Pak community they should bring this matter to public notice. Couples of months ago few ladies thought to form a group Pak ladies , where they can talk and share their issues
They name it Nashamun.
They worked hard , had a good membership, they knew how to generate funds, they did few good functions.
Until Eid Milad un Nabi, when they lured Fijian Muslim women in name of Milad . And turned this mild in to Ijtmah , at the end of this function when few women protested against their action they were told that Eid Milad has no place in Islam. That’s where first divide came in Nashaiman , in protest Atia gave her resignation.
Second blow was Plate Workshop. Where Pakistani flag was used as a carpet , when told by some lady about there wrongdoing she was told by organizer that this flag is not Quran or Hadis to respect it.
Please correct this if we are wrong.
When this matter came up on Sohni Dharti to save themselves they dissolve it .
As mother organization of all Pakistani groups it is PANZ. Responsibility to do inquiry and reveal the name of these who are responsible for this abhor act.

My sincere apologies to both of you because a Pakistani man Javeed Iqbal self appointed president of a opposition party in Pakistan and no membership in New Zealand has misinformed you and wasted your time. I have observed him very keenly since his arrival and there are many questions unanswered. I am writing to the government to review his immigration application as it is all based on fraudulent statements.
As the longest serving President of Pakistan Association of New Zealand and a founder I was deeply shocked and looked at all the pictures which show a green bed sheet and a white bed sheet on the floor where these young bright Pakistani New Zealander girls were performing. You cannot call it a Pakistani Flag unless there is a star and a crescent on it. If you agree with this trouble maker then you will have to ban all the green socks,green pants and green under wears because it is a disgrace of Pakistani Flag. Most importantly the complainant was not there and the source of info he is quoting was also not there.
This one man band has always been a cause of trouble. He has caused lot of embarrassment to Pakistani community by making a complaint only on a unreliable report.Pakistan Association was the authority which could investigate the matter and the elders of the community could resolve it if there was any such incident.
I am also writing to the President of Pakistan Muslim League in Pakistan to take disciplinary action against him. and investigate how he cheated the high command of the party and became the President of New Zealand chapter with no members.

Its hard to say whether Sohni Dharti is a grocery shop or a butchery where everyone can make chops of others. I put that matter very gracefully and i am not ashamed butyes i do feel very much embarrassed being a party to that matter . The only solution to all that is to stop putting personal allegations. Everyone has realised the importance of Pakistani Flag now. Nobody will dare to do that again and thats enough.

Last year Emad Khan, born in Lahore, worked in my office. This year he is back fulltime at Auckland University. There are no women from Pakistan working in either my Auckland or Wellington offices.

Its a freedom of speech that Mr. Khan is writing like this , I can see the desperation and frustration in his statements , which shows , he might have vocabulary but he doesn't have guts to face an issue , he is QSM. but the cheep language he is using , left us all in doubts , how he has got this Q S M. I want to protest strongly against statement on Sohni Dharti. I have not sent my apologies through Mr Amar khan, infact I did not even know that there is a meeting taking place and my brother Umair (Mr Amar Khan) will be representing me. I or Nashemun have not disgraced Pakistani flag intentionally or unintentionally so this statement is completely false and I have not apologised to any person or any group. If I had done something wrong only then I will apologise but not to make someone a kingpin.
During the Pilate demonstration a green colour sheet was placed on the floor but I did not know that it was a flag, neither did any other member who was present there. These members were Ghazala Liaqat, Yasmin Akram, Mehr Irshad, Noreen Sarwar, Sayyadah Junaid, Afshan Majid, and Tayyaba Khan and some family members of the above people. If it was a flag then being Pakistani these people would have objected as we are all Pakistani and these members have given hours and hours of their valuable time to serve Pakistani women community. They can not even think that they would do such an act to disgrace their own flag. I can not imagine that people would think that Pakistani women will do this to their own flag.
Mr Cheema talked to me on telephone few days ago and suggested that he wants to stop the accusations from different parties on Sohni Dharti. He suggested to me to issue an apology on Nashemun’s behalf to stop this bickering. I told him straight away that no one has disgraced the flag so why should the group apologise? I am not sure in what capacity has he given this public statement on my behalf without my consent. Few weeks earlier Mr Jamshed Hassan asked me and I told him that I was not aware of any such disgrace.
There was a group meeting held two weeks after the demo and no concerns were raised by Atiya who was also present in the meeting. Why has she raised this issue two months after the demo? ……she knows better. Why did Mr Atta started this Nudge without getting his facts right ….What are his motives??
All I can say is that we are all very proud Pakistani but unfortunately at the same time we do not trust each other. We waste so much time in negative activities rather than constructive and positive attitude we try to put down and condemn each other. We are fighting battles at personal, local, regional and international levels and that is the reason that we have not progressed as a nation and an ordinary Pakistani does not even have the basic facilities in Pakistan. We have forgotten the teachings of Islam that if you hide other peoples short doings then Allah Subhano Tallah will hide your short doings. We are Pakistani but we do not even believe that Faith,Unity and discipline is the key to success.
I want to bring another issue to the community and let us see how do you solve this one.
Someone has quoted on Sohni Dharti that they have seen the photos of Pakistani women doing the exercises. These Photos were personal and never published on Nashemun’s web. Who ever has shown these pictures to other men should be condemned and I will like to request the community members to disclose the identity of that person so the community can take actions against such an immoral act. Thank you and May Allah give Hidayat to all of us.

I have been working with Panz for last eight years .....everybody knows what my motives are?.I would let people think what they want. i always respect my elders . This is the just one of the example of professionalism from the Ex founder of Ex Nashemun that she does not read her mails for 5 weeks and goes to the next meeting without looking at the details of the previous events and minutes. I can give many more if people want it.

If Mr Jamshed Hassan says that faces were defaced, then he can not claim that those were Nashemun members, that could be anyone, he has no right to make assumptions and must not try to implicate innocent people. However if he has seen the photos of ladies being disrespectful to actual flag (not a green sheet) then as the president of PANZ, firstly he should not be afraid to disclose the identity of that person as this person has done an immoral act of showing personal photos of ladies to other men without their consent and that person should be ready to face the legal consequences. Secondly Mr Hassan should take the matter to the court and fulfil his roll as the guardian of the interests of Pakistan.
Pakistani men should stop this propaganda against Pakistani women and stop playing in the hands of Miss Atiya, Mr Atta and Mr Javed Iqbal. Be respectful to this holy month and stop these accusations to divide the community.

Atiya baji, thank you for your email. I have to however express I am disappointed that this is the approach you took in discussing the topic. I am also disappointed that this issue is being raised now, several weeks after the events' occurance.
I would like to point us all towards some hikam of our deen in this instance. I am sure you already know this but it was encouraged practice of the Prophet to first and foremost discuss the matter of concern with the person responsible. In this instance it is the amirah. This is out of respect for the amirah and gives them an opportunity to explain to you the situation. It is also a test of whether you trust the person who is in that appointed position with their decisions.
The second thing I would like for us all to look into is the placement of the flag under Islam. The flag though symbolising nationalism should not have a value of any higher importance placed into it. That is our deen. I know Nashemun is not a "religious" body however you cannot forget that we are all Muslims within it. I can respect that a few people might have felt disrespected, but if they did so they should have spoken out clearly right there and then. For Aunty Noreen to send an email now, is just not nice. She was there, and if she didn't agree she should have stood up and said so loud and clear. After all she has an equal standing in the group.

Attia posted very use full post to Sohni Dharti which could have lead us to get to conclusion of this flag issue but some reason she deleted it , most members have read it , letter shows clearly that CEO of Nashaiman is responsible for all of this flag disgraced saga . When asked by Attya , the email reply of their representative more disgraceful and disgusting , she clearly admitted that Pak flag was disgraced by Pak women and she is trying to cop out by taking refuge in Islam . Instead of taking blame and apologizing of their action she pleading that there’s nothing wrong if they were jumping on Pakistan flag , because our religion don’t stop it , we have question "does religion allow us to Jump on flag" She may be born and brought up here in NZ. But must not for get that ten millions people were displaced and One million were perished in displacement . First Mrs. Khan said it did not happened, then they said , Pakistan flag is no Quran Hadis, now they are saying , it was white and green sheet , which did not have crescent and star. Well known ,former executive of Pak community , intervene to solve this issue , where Umair Khan brother of Shagufta Khan apologised on behalf of her sister , in front of Naveed Hamid former President of Pakistan association , Haider Lone former president of NZMA , Javeed Iqbal President of Pakistan Muslim Leage NZ.
