URGENT NOTICE

During the last 18 months the Labour team have been lobbying the National Government to fix the problems that have seen too many religious leaders denied visas to work and stay in this country.  We have received many concerns from the Buddhist, Muslim, Hindu, Sikh and Jewish communities over this issue.

We are pleased that the Minister of Immigration, Jonathan Coleman, has finally listened and has announced that his officials will be carrying out a ‘Review of immigration policies for religious workers’.
We would urge anyone who has been affected by the current regulations governing the immigration of religious workers to make a submission to the Department of Labour.  Please download and print the submission form from: http://bit.ly/9BleuT.  The deadline for submissions is very tight, and we need your feedback by Friday 9 July 2010.
If would like to discuss this issue with any of our Labour team don’t hesitate to contact us.  If you do make a submission we would welcome a copy of this so that we can support you.
We look forward to reading your responses, and having your voices heard on this important issue.
