A brief email from me reinforcing what Labour is up to at the moment in the electorate.
We need your help to stop the National Government's selling 49% of Meridian Energy, Mighty River Power, Genesis, and Solid Energy.
The Labour Party is working in a coalition that has launched a citizens initiated referendum (CIR) to stop these asset sales. The CIR petition has just been signed off by the Clerk of Parliament and the work of collecting tens of thousands of petitions can now begin.
In addition to our normal LEC activities, we will be campaiging this weekend at Avondale Markets and the following weekend at the Te Pai Netball Courts collecting signatures for our petition. The details for the next few weeks are as follows:
Phil will be door knocking to get signatures this weekend. If you're available please let either Phil or I know.
