This what DOC said last time on call for blood donation From: Doc Sent: 22/10/2002 1:45 PM Dear Zubair Salim (Billa G) I think you have quite a few committed blood donors have come forward. We can go ahead and fix a date. Personally I would love to donate, and I had been donating blood. But since last year I am on medication and that's the reason I have not come forward. However I can assure the readers, once again, that within FIFTEEN minutes of giving one pint of blood, our body is so systemised that it pumps the Compressed Red Blood Cells into the blood stream. That's a "Defence Mechanism", Allah Subhana oo Taala has created in our body. In fact it's to compensate the body, of blood, in case of an emergency, say one got an accident and have bled. The bone marrow "Gooda" in "Nalli" is the store for these compressed cells and specially the one in our chest bone that's called "Sternum". That's the reason, that our "Oldies" were so very fond of having Nahari and Payey. As I have said before it is a complex physiological process, however, in common terms, let's say that when you are relaxing after the donation, at the centre for 15 minutes, your body will recoup the same amount of blood that's given. So, in short, once one goes off from Billa G's house and come back after donation, ready for Balti Goshat, their body would have the same amount of blood in their body. As I said before, the blood you donate will recuperate within fifteen minutes, so if you are healthy and NOT taking any medicine, go for it and donate your blood. It's a kind of Khairaat you are giving and allah Subhaan a oo Taala will certainly give you the jazaa. I have taken up yet another challenge in my life and started teaching at a Medical College in UAE. It's on secondment from an International Health Agency and more akin to my pofession than selling second hand cars, though that was also a learning curve in my life and I did learn a lot. I still remember and cherish the support I got from Zubair Salim, Munawwar, Sabir Cheema, Imtiaz Chaudhary, Waqar and Qamar sahib, (To name a few), who relied on an inexperienced business man like me and gave me whole hearted support. HATS OFF Today was big day of Sohni Dharti, and our thanks goes to all those who registered their names and we salute those who turn up , and my hat goes off for those 29 donors who donated blood to save lives( Which normally don’t go off ) Actually party started yesterday with preparation of food for blood donors (See in Pictures) It hard for me finding right word to thanks Mr Bhatti , Naeem Raja, Hajii , Munawar, and Raphail Barkat, for the preparation of food, in this whole Blood Balti party, Abdul Rahaman was the man of the day, with his young blood and eagerness to help Sohni Dharti for loading from spoon to BBQ and lovely music, we must thanks to Mr Dubeer who was there all day to help We would like to extend our thanks Kevin of Blood Bank, who help us and guide us to make this event silky smooth
Missing persons We sent 29 people to blood centre for blood donation, including those, who wanted to go by themselves in their own cars or promised to donate blood next day , but blood bank record shows blood centre received only 21 people, in NEXT day goers only KHIZER HAYAT kept his promise
