5 arrested in Jeddah burglary

JEDDAH: Police detained yesterday five Saudis in their 20’s as suspects in a burglary case.

The men are accused of breaking into the Jeddah home of a Pakistani resident and stealing SR9,000 and a mobile phone. The man witnessed the incident and informed police. Police then arrested one suspect in possession of the mobile phone and he led authorities to the other suspects.

Police spokesman Col. Misfar Al-Juaid said two of the people who were arrested confessed that they were drunk when they committed the crime.

He said that after the investigation is over the men would be produced in the court.
