Collection of $2011 at Masjid e Umer Mt Roskill on 22nd May 2009
Mr Abdul Reman Chacha cooked food for sale and the sale proceeds of $2011 was handed over to Pakistani students Association on Friday 22nd. Mr Aurangzeb ex-owner of Apna Bazar and Br Zeb of Khyber provided materials requird free of cost. A week before people contributed $1700 plus for the same cause of IDP of Swat. This is just for record and information.

Students are doing good , today someone raise the point that these collections by students are going in to an individual account. this means this PSA is not registered therefore legally they can not collect any donations until they are not registered as charitable organisation . this may lead this individual in trouble if this money doesn't go to any charitable organisation
I agree with BillaG in toto but unfortunately when there is a vacuum then surely someone has to do that job.
The people (we Pakistanis), who has a platform (PANZ) are not using this in an open and collective terms so basically we are to blame ourselves. Something is needed to be done SOON otherwise we will be a body without SOUL. Regards

Business community has collected $6400 , Pakistani Students have collected about $4000 , where it is gone nobody knows , because they don't know what account this money is going
I Recall Earth quack time when we did not have Embassy in NZ , Australian embassy came out of its comfort zone to set up an account for victims of earth quack , Now we have embassy in new Zealand . but its looks like they don't want to come out of their comfort zone, Said Javeed Iqbal President of Pakistan Muslim League New Zealand . The High Commission has opened an Account to receive donations for Prime Minister’s Relief Fund for displaced people in Swat.
Donation could be deposited in
Account No. 01-0519-0169128-00,
ANZ Bank.
President of Pakistan Muslim League NZ. Javeed Iqbal said , people collected donations illegal way should be stoped and money should be going to Pakistan high commission's donations account. These students came here on scholarship they should support Govt of Pakistan rather then taking money by themselves , he said if they are doing the embassy’s job , then why we need embassy here in NZ. Mr. Iqbal added . Who knows where this money is going. High commission should stop and use it influence this kind of practice .
Question about business community he said " first right choice is H C P , as H C P has opened this account , money should be transferred in its account.
At the end he said we grateful to Pakistan High Commission for taking action by opening up account for IDPs.
