Billa gee we collected today $2905 almost $3000 from SAMA mosque al- mostafa and handed over to President PANZ to forward money to Pak High Commission. Just want to make sure with your support that money should go to Govt of Pak who is responsible for victim's relief, instead of any NGO. We will join u tomorrow. FAYYAZ
Thanks Fayyaz, for your information, SAMA has done well , Tarnica cars are doing good work together with Radio Tarana , PANZ has just open the account, every individual is doing it best. Despite the public saying Sohni Dharti believes Govt of Pakistan deserve this donation money, But if some other NGOs are doing fund raising, it’s their discretion to use this money. We hope High Commission will do its obligation by keep us up date with proceeding.
New Zealand humanitarian agencies responding in Pakistan are Caritas, Christian World Service, Oxfam New Zealand, Save the Children, Tear Fund, Unicef NZ (UN Children's Fund), and World Vision. The other agencies supporting the appeal are the Child Fund, VSA (Volunteer Service Abroad), the Fred Hollows Foundation and CBM (Christian Blind Mission). The United Nations says hundreds of millions of dollars of assistance will be needed, Associated Press reported.

Ban Ki-moon and President Zardari flew by helicopter over four districts of Punjab, the province known as this country's bread basket.
Now from the air it looks like a land of sprawling lakes. Valuable crops like sugar cane and wheat are under water. Mud houses are submerged, millions have fled.
The visitors were greeted with loud applause when they visited a relief camp set up by the Pakistan military. It is now home to about 1,000 displaced people.
They cheered when Ban Ki-moon said he hoped they would soon go home.
But their homes are gone and there are millions of Pakistanis facing the same uncertain fate. The UN says not even half are receiving aid.
Health officials have warned that disease could spread quickly among the millions of displaced people and that 3.5m children are at risk. BBC reports
Tarnica has proved its leadership qualities $11408 in two days Where is the business community? Where is $100 dinner for these business people? Are they serious or it was joke to victims of flood? We have more than 50 businessmen,ONLY $500 each can raise $25000, and this is time to shine. PANZ is too shy to announce its collections. We can understand that.
Why high commission of Pakistan is not updating the accounts, these delays provide the breeding grounds for suspicion and doubts. If high commission keeps us up date, it will encourage others to do more. http://www.pakistanhc.org.nz/home.php
