Want all out going and in coming Labour MPs to speak out about this publicly if they want votes from Pak Kiwis in this elction.

WE WANT AN APOLOGY FROM MOA

The recent Moa Ad campaign that has been launched is not only a disgrace to New Zealand but also to every Pakistani. This was an online campaign targeted at their corporate sales. As of Friday evening, this particular image has been removed from its website but the company and Daryl Tuffey have offered no apology to the Pakistani people.
This was also discussed on National Television during their live broadcast of the Breakfast program on Friday morning.
The Moa marketing manager (Sunil Unka) says “We are basing a lot of the stuff we do on fact," Unka says. "Unfortunately, there were Pakistani cricketers who were found guilty of match-fixing."
If they really feel the need to base their campaign around match fixing, have they conveniently forgotten South Africa’s Hansie Cronje? Granted he has passed away but there was also the 1999/200 India South Africa match fixing  scandal where Mohammed Azharuddin and Ajay Jadeja (both Indian players) were also named and Jadeja was jailed for 4 years as well.

According to Tuffey "We are not out to offend anyone," said Tuffey, who has been employed by the brewery for the past two months. "In some ways, after what has happened over the past two years [the campaign] is not too far from the truth to be honest. They [Pakistan] have set the benchmark really ... it is unfortunate that two or three of their players have been done over the last 12 months.

Tuffey said that it has been "etched into cricket that the Pakistanis are rolling around match-fixing."

Match fixing is something that other teams from other countries have been involved in so why does Tuffey say that Pakistan has set the benchmark?

Why does the Moa’s marketing manager base his facts only on Pakistan? This seems like nothing more than a cheap pun on an easy target just or the sake of a few dollars.

The fact that Moa feels the need to degrade Pakistani’s and label all of us unethical is not only degrading but is just cheap shot.

A lot of Pakistanis are proud Kiwis but today Moa, has made us seems like untrustful, unethical people but also sad to be associated with a country where their very own cricket player
has degraded us.

I urge everyone to email Moa and express their distaste and demand an apology from them.  The email addresses of Moa's corporate team and Daryl Tuffey are

gareth@moabeer.co.nz
sunil@moabeer.co.nz
info@moabeer.co.nz
daryl@moabeer.co.nz

Make sure you voice your distaste to them and pass the message on.  Moa needs to be held accountable for its action and give the people of Pakistan a formal apology. Please also take the time to email the Ethnic Affairs minister Hon Hekia Parata at hekia.parata@parliament.govt.nz to let her know that this unacceptable and that advertisements such as these create unnecessary tensions.

The Moa Ad
The online brewery advert states: "Pakistanis love cricket and they love making money. Sometimes they combine the two with a good old
Pakistani Match Fix so that the Black Caps get to win a game and the Pakistanis get a big cheque from the TAB.
"It's a win-win all round and we here at Moa love the business principles behind it, which is why we're offering a Pakistani Backhander of our own.
"So for every 10 cases of Moa ordered, the contact person who does the ordering, that's you, gets 10 per cent of the match fee - a free case
of Moa beer for themselves that we don't tell anyone about.
"Is this ethical? No. Is it Pakistani? Yes!"
