Thursday, 19th April 2012   Dear All Sub: Celebration of 66th India Independence at Aotea Centre on Sunday, 12th August 2012 Bhartiya Samaj Charitable Trust announces the Celebration of 66th India Independence Day at the ASB Theatre, Aotea Centre on Sunday, 12th of August 2012 from 10:30 AM to 3:00 PM. We yet again wish to reflect upon the land-mark event in the history of India. India Independence Day is an occasion to rejoice the achievement of freedom to a new dawn in the life of India. We dedicate this prized moment in the honour of those brave countrymen who have sacrificed their lives to give us an opportunity to breathe in this air of freedom. We wish to showcase the cultural diversity of India at the event and promote the motto of ‘Unity in Diversity’. Thus we invite all the community organisations to nominate at least one performance per organisation for the event. Even individuals and cultural groups are welcome to nominate their performances at the event. We would love to see more organisations celebrate this land-mark event. We request organisations and event organisers to schedule their event in such a way that it does not overlap with the event organised by other organisations. We request organisations to schedule their celebrations accordingly. This would in turn help the audience and participants to be a part of multiple celebrations of India Independence Day.
