Iqbal Day

Dear Friends!     Assalam-e-Alaikum
 
To commemorate the life and epoch making
philosophy/poetry of Philosopher/Poet of the East, Dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbal,
an Evening will be organised at the Pakistan High Commission, as per following
schedule:
 
Day & Date                 Saturday, 19 May, 2012
Time:                           8:00
pm.
Venue:                         Pakistan High Commission,
182 Onslow Road, Khandallah,
Wellington     
On the occasion, some of the leading community members
will share their thoughts on the philosophy and works of Allama Iqbal. Some
local community amateur singers will recite the poetic verses of Iqbal. In
addition, the guests would also be welcome to join in the poetic recital or
narrations.
 
The event will be a farshi-nashist (floor seating). There will be tea/coffee and some
light snacks available throughout the evening.
 
Considering the nature of the event, children under
the age of 12 years will not be able to appreciate, therefore, it would be
requested that young kids under the age of 12 years may not be brought along.
