Pakistan Association of New Zealand is holding Azadi Day on 14 August 2004. We are looking for involvement of more child performers as participants of this programme. We are quite encouraged that a good number of families volunteered during “An Evening of Arts & Literature” and many children turned up for Dress Show phase of the evening. We are expecting same kind of enthusiasm for Azadi Day function where child performers will be participating in dress-show, tablos, skits and song performances. This is the last call for families to register their interest if they are willing to see their children on the stage. We will be holding a special talent hunt in early next week to sort out their suitability for various jobs. Please note we will not be taking children without assessment phase and planned rehearsals. Therefore contact the following members of Women Council in earliest   Ladies can contact   Mrs. Zahida Fayyaz Ph: 6266823 Mrs. Mahrukh Salman Mrs. Saba Tasneem   Male members can contact PANZ for further discussion   Shahid Azad Ph: 6260149                     Mob: 027 2737903 Haroon Ahmed Mob: 0212953323 Kashif Chaudhry 0212590933 Shahzad Sadiq 021450987

In just $20, the car will be yours.   Pakistan Association of New Zealand proudly announces a “Car Draw” on Azadi Day---14 August 2004. This Nissan Bluebird 1996 is jointly donated by Khyber Autos, Little Japan Autos and Global Car Imports. We are truly thankful to Abdul Wahab, Zahid Khan and Shakeel Ahmed for their generous decision of contributing to Jinnah Center. We expect others from well to do Pak business community to follow the example at the time when we will be holding a major meeting for the same project in last week of August. The money coming out of this “Car Draw” would go to the basic funding of Jinnah Center. The draw ticket is of $20 and we hope each of us will be contributing this small amount of money for the noble cause of establishing Jinnah Center. We welcome volunteers who are willing to involve themselves for the fund-raising process. Interested ones can respond to this mail and we will be in touch very soon. The tickets will be available from the start of next week. Also note that this year Azadi Day is being celebrated in Western Springs College Motions Road (Opposite to Zoo Entrance).

$20 for car and $20 for Azadi ? This means $40 for for family, this is bit heavy hand for Pakistani community, it would be first in history of Pakistani community that we are paying ticket for Pakistani BIG day, while you have plenty of generous sponsors out there, Sohni Dharti suggestion is this PANZ should make car draw ticket $40 and entry should be free If it impossible to do this, ask Tauqir Khan, ask Mateen Bhai, ask Haji Mumtaz, how did they make this possible with far less resources

In anticipation of very tough programme schedule and effective time management Pakistan Association of New Zealand has devised the following strategy for 14 August 2004 that would be strictly followed.   1-If individuals or businesses (they must be sponsors in any category) want to announce any prize/distinction or sponsor any draw, must note that they should inform PANZ of their intention well before 6 August 2004. No request would be entertained on day of the programme. This may also be noted that any such expression of interest is not an automatic choice and the final decision will be taken by PANZ in light of time availability. As we are already facing the time shortage, the probability of such announcements is wholly bound to the circumstances. Therefore if we couldn’t entertain such request, you will be kind enough to see the real reason. Contact us at 6260149 or 027 2737903 to enquire about sponsors categories and further discussion. But again keep it in mind all depends upon “time and space”.   2- Keeping in view of the time factor and effective management, any such announcement or draw will be totally managed by PANZ and stage hosts not by the any other individual. This means you can relax and we will act on your behalf.   3-PANZ will be focused on fund raising for Car Draw on 14 August 2004 and expect all others to participate, understand and respect the noble intentions of us all on that day. This remains the major theme of the programme and needs your attention.

BABNARSI THUG OF PAK AND HK I was out and about in Australia for month, now I am back and can’t believe that BANARSI Thugs R back and now they taking unfair means and using 14 of aug 2 rip Pakistani peoples of by charging $20 entry fee, and $20 4 car which has no number , as for as I recall this is an old trick already used by one of panz fugitive president ZAF in past, when man who was winner of the car went there to claim his car, car was there, but with out gear box and that man has to spent $2000 on top to get this car on road, I will not buy a ticket unless I see the car or panz sow this car on their web with all detail and fotos Hang on munite I am recalling some thing , is it that same shahid azad ? who once said to his crew , keep low profile on tickets because we can not control the large public crowed or it was just a leg pulling of run away president, why panz is not giving HISAB KITAB of $2600 of funeral account which they spend extravagantly on activity like LOC , its looks like panz is recovering janaza fund money from 14 of aug, big day out, if this the case city scan will die some where else One thing we must not forget MAILA LAILA, CHAILA ,KAILA, and famous SHRARA GOD BLESS ALL

“Azadi Day” is the most important day for all of us. Please make it memorable by your presence in the hall as well as abiding by all the regulations set for the event. Following is the summary of arrangements made for the programme. 1- There will be no Car Parking within the college premises except administrative reasons. The main gate will remain close and guarded by professional security people. Please park your cars in the Zoo Parking or along the adjacent roads. 1-Security people will take care of every thing at the Hall Entrance as well. Make sure you either bring your entry ticket with you or buy one at the entrance. This once a year donation for collective cause should not be minded as food will be served at the end of the programme. 2- There will be reserved seats for the sponsors in their names. All others are requested to be at the place of their choice behind these reserved lines. 3- There will be separate seats reserved in the names of distinguished guests from Government and other ethnic communities. Please don’t cross the seats or try to get in touch with notables during the programme. You will have plenty of time afterwards for brief chat, all smiles or photo-session. Don’t sit on a reserved seat as this might cause embarrassment to us all. Let us all be disciplined and united on 14 August 2004.
