In the name of Allah the most Gracious most Merciful
Friday-the day of Jum’a
Asalaamu-Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi Wabarakatu.
Allah says in the Holy Quraan, in Surah Jum’a, verse 9 to 10:
"Oh you who believe!" "When the call is proclaimed for prayer on Friday, come to remembrance of Allah and leave off business and trading." "That is best for you, if you but knew." "Then when the prayer is ended you may disperse through the land, and seek the bounty of Allah and remember Allah quite frequently that you may prosper."
The Angels know Friday by the name "Jum’a." For Muslims Friday is the noblest of days. Adam (AS) was born on a Friday.
- He was admitted into Jannat on a Friday.
- He was banished to the earth on a Friday.
- His repentance was accepted on a Friday.
- He passed away on a Friday.
- The day of Qiyaamat will be on a Friday.
- Hell’s fire does not burn so fiercely on a Friday.
- Allah-Ta-Allah grants pardon to six hundred thousand people from Hell on a Friday.
- One who dies on a Friday is blessed with rewards equal to that of 100 martyrs and he is protected from the punishment of the grave.
People, make Ibaadat in abundance everyday, especially on a Friday.
Allah made Makkah superior to any other city.
Ramadaan superior to any other month.
Lailatul-Qadr superior to any other night and Friday superior to any other day.
It is reported that the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said:"If you protect your Friday, you have indeed protected all your days."
