To be Pakistani or Not to be?

To my fellow Pakistanis,

I would like to draw your attention to the following link.

It certainly is a sad day when our own PANZ president does not acknowledge his Pakistani heritage let alone the fact that he is supposedly the voice for the Pakistani community in all of Auckland.

It seems as though Mr Khan is counting on then votes of his fellow Indians and Islanders communities and has very conveniently omitted any Pakistani ties to the community.

Mr Piami I have heard you say on several occasions in several public domains where you jubilantly brag about your presidency in PANZ. Does this mean you’re a proud Pakistani in front of the people of Pakistan but not the people of Auckland?

You have very slyly alluded to your Punjabi heritage giving the illusion to the people that you are Indian. You will no doubt argue that you have not written this but Mr Piami it’s what you have not written that speaks volumes.

As president of PANZ, you are answerable to the Pakistani community. I would like to know where the money that you have collected in the name of ‘charity for the flood victims’ has gone. As collectors and donors, we are entitled to see proof that this money has been used for its intended purposes and not wound up in another corrupt bureaucratic pocket.

Pakistan First!
