CHAKWAL Nov, 10: A gambler den was busted at Village
Tatral in the area of Saddar Police Station Chakwal
and five people were arrested red handed.  Saddar
Police Chakwal on a report of an informer raided a
Killen situated near Village Tatral and arrested Nasir
Mehmood, Tanvir Amjid, Muhammad Afzal, Sajid Mehmood
and Shafqat Abbas.  Police recovered 2,625 rupees,
playing card and wristwatch and registering a case
against them they were sent in the judicial lockup.

CHAKWAL Nov, 10: The killers of two real brothers
were still at large and the family of the deceased
brothers were in a great panic and insecurity as
Police was reluctant to arrest the killers despite
registration of an FIR against them.  32 years old
iron merchant Muhammad Javaid and his brother Muhammad
Pervaiz a school teacher of 30 years were murdered at
broad day light at Village Buchal Kalan in the area of
Kallar Kahar Police Station by indiscriminate firing
of the accused five real brothers and three other who
attacked on the shop of the deceased.  The accused
were nominated in the FIR and the family of the
deceased told that the accused are still threatening
of dire consequences and other murder attack on them,
which caused a great panic among the family, which had
already badly effected due to this double murder.  The
family demanded from Chief Minister Punjab, IG Punjab,
DIG Rawalpindi Range and SSP Chakwal to intervene into
the matter and arrest the killers.

CHAKWAL Nov, 10: What is truth behind the theft of
motorcycles in Chakwal City during the last two months
as the peoples complained about the increased
motorcycle theft in the city before the State Minister
Environment Major 짰 Tahir Iqbal in an Aftar party and
people showed great resentment and they alleged that
68 motorcycles were stolen only from Chakwal City
during the last two months.  ASP Saddar Circle Chakwal
Ishfaq Ahmad reacted sharply on the number of theft
motorcycles and he challenged that if more then 25
complainants came to him in this regard he will quit
the job.  He admitted that there were 18 theft
motorcycles and which was reported to City Police
Station and their FIR were registered and City Police
Chakwal is trying their best to trace out the theft
cases of motorcycles.  However people are demanding
the arrest of the motorcycle thieves as this gang is
well trained and now motorcycles were to be stolen
from inside the house at nighttime.

CHAKWAL Nov, 10: The City Stop established by the
Tehsil Municipal Administration Chakwal provide
maximum facilities to the passengers in the heart of
the city and in front of a private wagon stand owned
by the son of acting president of Pakistan Muslim
League Lt. General ® Abdul Majeed Malik.  DCO Chakwal
cancelled the order of Tehsil Nazim Chakwal Amir
Bhatti and the proprietor of the said city stop went
to Lahore High Court for appeal.  This appeal is
pending before the Lahore High Court as the High Court
suspended the impugned order till the decision of the
case.  The contractor of the city stop  Raja Muhammad
Salim told that the city stop is functioning
effectively and the Lahore High Court has not decided
the matter yet but it was wrongly propagated that High
Court upheld the order of DCO Chakwal and the city
stop was finished. 

By Our Correspondent CHAKWAL Nov, 11: 		Two passengers were killed while ten other received multiple injuries when a Chakwal bound passenger coach fell down in a deep ditch near Village Dharabi at Chakwal-Talagang road some 35 kilometer from here on Tuesday morning.  The passenger coach No.JA-5297 was on its way to Chakwal from Karachi and at 0600 hours on a sharp turn, the driver lost control over the bus and it fell down in 20 feet deep ditch resulting killing of Waris Ali resident of Azad Kashmir and Manzoor Hussain resident of Balkassar.  The ten other injured passengers were immediately shifted to Talagang and Chakwal hospital.  Bus driver Noor Khan and conductor Irfan was also among the injured besides Muhammad Ramzan, Parveen Akhter, Ghulam Farid and Yasmin who were shifted to District Headquarter Hospital Chakwal.  Saddar Police Chakwal registered a case and started investigation.  By Our Correspondent CHAKWAL Nov, 11: 		Additional District and Session Judge Chakwal Sohail Nasir dismissed the pre-arrest bail of an accused involved in a case of throwing acid on the face of young girl Tasleem Akhter of Village Khara in the Nila Police Station.  The accused school master Muhammad Naseer was booked by Nila Police Chakwal along with co-accused Fouzia Bibi who was also in jail.  On minor dispute Muhammad Naseer put acid on the face of Tasleem Akhter, resulting some serious burn injuries and de-facing her.  The subordinate court already dismissed the bail petition and the learned Session Judge upheld the Judgment of subordinate court and declared that the accused deserved no mercy at all.  IN the meantime the bail petition of Girdawar Ehanat Ali involved in a famous Madam Malik sex scandal was admitted by the same court and the Judge ordered to put the record on 17th November before the court.  By Our Correspondent CHAKWAL Nov, 11: 		Two buffalos amounting more then rupees 70 thousands were electro ducted at Village Murid after touching the electric poll of water supply scheme of Village Murid some 10 kilometer from here.  Water supply scheme was established at Nullah Souj and it was run by Building Department Chakwal.  The transformer fixed by the WAPDA was short and when the two buffalos of Said Rasool and Muhammad Fazal touched the electric poll they were killed.  Both owner of the buffalos lodged a complaint before District Nazim Chakwal and demanded that they are poor people and they should be compensated by the Buildings and WAPDA Departments as due to their neglect this loss was incurred on them.

CHAKWAL Nov, 12: District and Session Judge Chakwal
Ch: Riaz Ahmad acquitted an accused Muhammad Rasheed
involved in a case of sexual assault on a boy.  All
the witnesses backed out from their earlier statement
and prosecution was failed to prove the case.  The
accused sexually assaulted a boy Kamran on 28th May
2003.  The court gave the benefit of the doubt to the
accused.

CHAKWAL Nov, 12: A drunkard and a drug pusher were
nabbed by City Police Chakwal.  Raja Tahir Mehmood of
Gulberg Town Chakwal was making hue and cry in front
of the District Headquarter Hospital Chakwal and City
Police Chakwal got examined him in the hospital and it
was confirmed that he was drunked.  City Police
Chakwal registered a case under 11 article and sent
him in the judicial lockup.  City Police Chakwal also
nabbed Muhammad Rasheed resident of Village Chak
Malook and recovered 75 grams charas and a knife from
him and registered a case against him.

CHAKWAL Nov, 12: The new Superintendent of Sub Jail
Chakwal Mr. Ahmad Hassan Butt assumed the charge as
his predecessor Shaukat Mehmood Awan was transferred
to District Jail Mandi Bahawal Din.  Mr. Ahmad Hassan
Butt was transferred from District Jail Sahiwal.

CHAKWAL Nov, 13: District Resource Center Chakwal is
providing all out assistance to the women councilors
of District Chakwal to make awareness of their powers
and to solve the problems of women community and in
this regard a councilor forum have been constituted
and the women District Councilor Asma Zaheer will be
the chairperson.  This was decided in the meeting of
Aurat Foundation Chakwal that was chaired by Faqir
Hussain and Imran Sharif jointly.  The management
committee Nazim Malik Feroz Khan, women District
Councilor Rehana Babar Salim and Councilor
Gul-e-Nasreen briefed the working of District Resource
Center Chakwal.  The women councilors showed their
applause for the establishment of District Resource
Center Chakwal and hoped that it will serve the
purpose of women community.  District Officer Labour
Chakwal Raja Shafqat briefed the councilors about the
working of labour Department Chakwal and told that the
Department provides stipends to the children of
workers and provide financial assistance on the
marriage of their daughters.  Faqir Hussain and Imran
Sharif speaking on this occasion told that councilors
forum will hold different program for women councilors
while the women councilors will be briefed about the
citizen community board in the first week of December.

CHAKWAL Nov, 13: More than one thousand people
throughout the Punjab province were effected as the
Punjab Government dissolved all the District
Bait-ul-Maal committees in the province as these
committees have completed their terms of three years.
Punjab Government also ceased their accounts in all
the 34 District of Punjab thus the cheques issued by
District Bait-ul-Maal Committee recently to the poor
people, orphan and other deserving people were not
cashed as they were returned back by the staff of the
Bank of the Punjab throughout the province.  District
Officer Social Welfare Chakwal Mr. Pervaiz Kahut told
that new committees would be notified in the next few
days and the cheques issued by the Bait-ul-Maal
Committees that were not cashed will be adjusted as
soon as the new committees would be constituted and
these affectees would be entertained.

CHAKWAL Nov, 13: A Fashion House shop was gutted at
historic chappar Bazar Chakwal in between Wednesday
and Thursday night, causing a loss of rupees 1.5 Lac.
Al-Noor Fashion House was caught by fire and the
valuable clothes and machines inside the shops were
burnt into ashes.  The fire brigade of Tehsil
Municipal Administration rushed on the spot and they
control the fire and save the other markets and nearby
shops.  The owner of the shop Khalid Masood told that
his shop was also gutted some seven years ago and the
matter should be investigated, as he had not enmity
with any one.
