CHAKWAL, Oct 27: The murder case was decided in a
record time of two days by the court of District and
Session Judge Chakwal.  The accused Muhammad Aslam who
had killed his young son and daughter as both brother
and sister was allegedly developed illicit relation
with each other was indicated in that double murder
case on 25th October.  On the same day the learned
Session Judge Ch: Riaz Ahmad recorded the statements
of eye-witnesses Muhammad Ansar and Saima Aslam who
were also the son and daughter of the accused Muhammad
Aslam.  FIR was also lodged by Muhammad Razaq who was
the brother of accused Muhammad Aslam.  The witnesses
backed out from their earlier statements that were
recorded by investigation officer of Dhudial Police
Station.  The learned Judge reserved the Judgment of
the same day and that was announced on Monday and the
learned Session Judge gave the benefits of the doubt
to the accused and acquitted him.

CHAKWAL, Oct 27: The hearing of famous CIA Police
Chakwal was adjourned for 17th November by Additional
District and Session Judge Chakwal Hassan Mabroor as
the witness Magistrate Doctor Mubeen Aslam who
conducted the judicial inquiry of the case in 1995 was
reluctant to appear before the court.  The learned
Judge issued a notice for the Magistrate to appear
before the court in the next hearing date on 17th
November.  The court had already recorded the
statements of more than six witnesses including the
victim Rozina Shaheen and his mother Nasreen Akhter in
this private complaint that was remanded back by the
Divisional Bench of Federal Shariat Court.  The
counsel of the petitioner Syed Ejaz Hussain Hamdani
was also present in the court.

CHAKWAL, Oct 27: England based Pakistani Ch: Azhar
Mehmood told on Monday that a crane amounting rupees 5
millions will also be donated to the Tehsil Municipal
Administration in the next few months by the West
Midland Fire Company England as this crane in have the
capability to cut the body of accidental vehicle
within 90 seconds and this crane will be very useful
in the accidents that occurred on Motorway in the Salt
Range area of District Chakwal.  He was talking in the
meet the press program of Chakwal Press Club.  Ch:
Azhar Mehmood donated a fire brigade truck to Tehsil
Municipal Administration Chakwal amounting rupees 10
millions some two days ago.  Ch: Azhar Mehmood told
that an association Friends of Chakwal have been
constituted in England and the people of District
Chakwal who were settled in great Britain were very
keen to provide their donation and funds for the
welfare of poor and needy people of District Chakwal.
He was of the view that Pakistan Embassy can play very
vital role for huge investment in Pakistan, as
Pakistanis in England are interested to invest their
money in their homeland.  Ch: Azhmar Mehmood also
announced a donation of rupees five thousands cash for
Chakwal Press Club.

CHAKWAL, Oct 28: Four real brothers received multiple
injuries when seven people armed with pistols and axis
attacked on them at Village Sadwal on Tuesday morning
in the area of Saddar Police Station Chakwal.  There
was an old dispute of land between two parties.  The
injured four brothers Muhammad Amir, Muhammad Riaz,
Muzamal Hussain and Muhammad Bashir were working in
the farm-field when accused party Muhammad Ashraf,
Asif Mehmood, Fazal-ur-Rehman, Ghulam Shabbir,
Muhammad Shabbir and two unidentified persons armed
with axis and pistols appeared on the scene and they
attacked on them, Muhammad Amir received bullet injury
while Muhammad Riaz, Muzamal Hussain and Muhammad
Bashir were hit by axis and they were immediately
shifted to District Headquarter Hospital Chakwal in a
precarious condition.   Saddar Police Chakwal
registered a case against the accused and started
searching them.

CHAKWAL, Oct 28: District and Session Judge Chakwal
Ch: Riaz Ahmad handed over a minor child to her mother
after recovering this minor girl from his father
Havaldar Abdul Rashid.  Zubaida Begum filed a petition
before the Human Rights Commission District Chakwal
and contended that her minor girl Aamra Shahzadi was
detained by her father Havaldar Abdul Rashid and Abdul
Rashid did not allow the girl to meet with her mother.
Abdul Rashid had divorced Zubaida Begum.  The bailiff
produced the minor girl before the court and after
hearing the arguments from both side, the Judge
ordered to hand over the girl to Zubaida Begum.  In
the meantime in an other case of abduction for ransom,
Additional District and Session Judge Chakwal Sohail
Nasir acquitted accused Muhammad Mumtaz resident of
Village Padharar District Khushab by giving the
benefit of the doubt.  The accused had abducted
Muhammad Ilyas from Village Buchal Kalan in October
last year for ransom.  The prosecution was failed to
prove the case therefore benefit of the doubt was
given to him.

CHAKWAL, Oct 28: The hero of 1971 war, Major General
짰 Tajamal Hussain Malik was laid to rest at his native
Village Thanil Kamal on Tuesday evening.  He was 80
and he did not surrender in East Pakistan and fought
till he fell unconscious.  He was also tried in the
Attock conspiracy case and allegedly he was about to
over throw late General Zia-ul-Haq in 1980.  He also
contested election for National Assembly twice in 1988
and 1990.  He left behind a son Major Waseem Pasha.

CHAKWAL, Oct 30: Lahore High Court dismissed the
appeal of women district council member Chakwal on
Thursday and upheld the Judgment of Election Tribunal
District and Session Jhelum who declared Ghulam Zohra
resident of Thoa Bahadar as a return women District
Council Member.  Shazia Malik challenged the order of
Election Tribunal Jhelum in Lahore High Court, the
counsel of Ghulam Zohra Mr. Razzaq A. Malik argued
that Shazia Malik is under age and she did not qualify
as a candidate as per rules and regulations laid by
the Election Commission of Pakistan for the women
seats in District Council.  The Election Tribunal
Jhelum declared Ghulam Zohra as a women member
District Council Chakwal as she produced I.D Card,
birth certificate and other document which supported
that Shazia Malik age was not enough to qualify as a
candidate.  The learned Justice Mr. Tanvir Bashir
Ansari after hearing the argument dismissed the appeal
of Shazia Malik and upheld the judgment of Election
Tribunal Jhelum.

CHAKWAL, Oct 30: A councilor of Union Council Dab was
shot injured by some unidentified persons in the wee
hours of Thursday morning.  The councilor Muhamad
Younas, Shamshad Gull and Soofi Bashir was coming to
Chakwal from Village Tatral on the motorcycle after
Sehri time and when they reached near Deaf and Dumb
School Chakwal some unknown persons open firing on
them.  Muhammad Younas councilor was hit in the leg
and he was shifted to District Headquarter Hospital
Chakwal while his two companion was mirecaly saved.
Saddar Police Chakwal registered a case against the
unknown accused and started investigation.  In the
meantime three men and two men received multiple
injuries in two different roadside accidents.  Police
constable Waqar Ahmad of Police Line was on his way to
Chakwal City from Police Line on official Police
Motorcycle No. CHA-902 and a speedy coach hit him,
resulting multiple injuries to him.  IN the second
accident Mushtaq Hussain and Zaheer Abbas resident of
Village Munday was on their way to Chakwal and their
motorcycle hit with two Women Iza Mushtaq and Baneena
Fazal who were crossing the road and all the four
received multiple injuries.

CHAKWAL, Oct 30: Additional District and Session
Judge Chakwal Sohail Nasir dismissed the bail
petitions of two women and two persons involved in a
famous Madam Malik scandal case.  However a bail
petition of an other accused Imran was granted and he
was directed to submit rupees 50 thousands bail bond.
Tasleem Kausar alias Madam Malik who was running the
brothel house, Khatoon Bibi, Aamir Raza and Khalid
Mehmood who were under Police custody and their bail
was moved but the learned Judge reluctant to oblige
them.  An other accused Girdavar Ehanat Ali withdrew
his bail petition.

CHAKWAL, Oct 31: Punjab Government delegated
magisterial and summary trial powers to the Revenue
Officers in each District to check the price hike
during the holy month of Ramzan.  District Officer
Revenue would be overall in-charge of the District
while Deputy District Officer Revenue was delegated
the magisterial powers.  The Deputy District Officer
Revenue Chakwal Abrar Ahmad along with ASP Saddar
Circle Chakwal Ishfaq Ahad raided various business
centers and fined rupees 2700 on the spot to those
traders who were selling essential commodities items
on higher rates then the price fixed by the local
administration.  The raiding party termed the working
of Secretary Market Committee Chakwal very poor and
observed that Secretary Market Committee was not
providing price lists daily to the shopkeepers.  The
Revenue Officers will enjoy these magisterial powers
only in the month of Ramzan-ul-Mubarak.

CHAKWAL, Oct 31: The students of Government Girls
Higher Secondary School Choa Saiden Shah boycotted the
classes and they assembled in the courtyard of the
school.  They were demanding immediate transfer of the
Principal of the school whose negative attitude had
spiled the educational atmosphere of the school.
Tehsil Nazim Choa Saiden Shah Malik Hafeez-ur-Rehman
rushed to the school and he assured that the demands
of the students will be meet after two days but the
girls students insisted that the transfer of Principal
was also made by the District Nazim Chakwal but he
failed to comply his promise.  The students after
chanting slogans against the Principal ended the
boycott and threatened that if the Principal Mrs.
Tassawar Mehboob Kahut was not removed from the
office, the protest movement will be launched and they
boycott of the classes will continue till there
demands was not meet.

CHAKWAL, Oct 31: Police has recovered illicit
revolver 32 bore from Muhammad Nazir resident of
Village Chak Baqir Shah.  Dhumman Police after
registering a case sent the accused in the judicial
lockup while Kallar Kahar Police arrested Abdul Jalil
resident of Village Noor Pur and 30 bore pistol was
recovered from him.  Separate cases were also
registered against the accused.  In the meantime City
Police Chakwal nabbed Muhammad Jahangir resident of
Basti Allah Wali and recovered 95 chares from him and
the accused was also examined at District Headquarter
Hospital Chakwal and in the medical report it was
confirmed that Jahangir was drunked and separate case
of using liquor was also registered against him.
Buchal Kalan Police check post registered a case
against Khalid Mehmood resident of Village Makhial and
recovered 30-bore pistol from him.  The accused were
shifted to judicial lockup.
