CHAKWAL Nov, 20: Additional District and Sessions
Judge Chakwal Sohail Nasir acquitted a drug pusher
Nazakat Hussain resident of Village Munday by giving
him the benefit of the doubt.  Saddar Police Chakwal
recovered 110 grams charas from him and their case was
sent to the court.  The prosecution was failed to
prove the case therefore the Judge acquitted him.

CHAKWAL Nov, 20: Punjab Government opened Tehsil
Talagang for portage hunting at District Chakwal
however the ban on portages hunting at Tehsil Chakwal
and Tehsil Choa Saiden Shah will be continued.  Only
licensed hunter will be allowed to hunt portages on
Sunday and every Government holidays.  No one will be
allowed to hunt more then six portages with one gun
and strict action will be taken against those hunters
who would violate the rules.

CHAKWAL Nov, 20: Two dialysis machines were provided
at District Headquarter Hospital Chakwal and its
started operating.  Governor Punjab Lt. General ®
Khalid Maqbool announced these two machines during his
visit to Chakwal while addressing a public meeting
regarding General Pervaiz Musharraf Referendum.  The
cost of these machines are rupees 5 millions.  The
people of Chakwal will be provided free dialysis at
District Headquarter Hospital Chakwal.  District Nazim
Chakwal Sardar Ghulam Abbas visited District
Headquarter Hospital Chakwal and he directed that the
emergency block which is under construction with the
cost of rupees 17.5 millions should be completed
forthwith.

CHAKWAL Nov, 21: Government is not considering to
ban Jamat Islami and other religious parties but those
parties and religious involved in sectarian violence
and terrorism will not be spared and all the four
provinces Governments will monitor the activities of
some religious groups and which is feared to be
involved in sectarian violence.  This was stated by
State Minister for Environment Major 짰 Tahir Iqbal
speaking at the Aftar Dinner hosted by Sardar Zulfiqar
Ali Khan Senior Vice President of PMLQ District
Chakwal.  Those who attended this function were ex-MNA
Sardar Mumtaz Tamman, Ex-MNA Sardar Mansoor Hayat
Tamman, Ex-Provincial Minister Fouzia Behram,
President PMLQ District Chakwal Muhammad Aslam Sehthi,
Raja Sana-ul-Haq Advocate of PMLN and various Nazmeens
of District Chakwal were present on this occasion.
The minister further told that all the controversial
issues regarding LFO have been settled with Muthida
Majlis-e-Amal and the last formal retouches will be
made after the return of President PMLQ Ch: Shujaat
Hussain who was abroad at present.  The minister was
confident that people will turn a deaf year to the
call of agitation by the opposition parties as the
people no that opposition parties were receiving
dictation from the abroad and the people will not be
fooled by those political parties which were tested by
the people from the last 15 years.  The minister was
optimistic that the present Government will complete
its tenure of five years and the speculation that the
General Election will be held in 2004 is totally
baseless.

CHAKWAL Nov, 21: Imamia Students Organization
District Chakwal take out procession on Friday to mark
Al-Qudas day.  Thousands of people after the Friday
prayer came out on the roads from Imam Bargah Sarpark
Chakwal and they marched on the various roads of city.
They were carrying banners and play cards in which
Anti-American slogans were inscribed.  The protestors
were also chanting slogans against USA and demanded
immediate withdrawal of JEWS occupation on Al-Aqsa
mosque.  The procession was converted into a public
meeting at Jhelum road and it was addressed by
President of ISO District Chakwal Ali Kumail, Moulana
Naseer Haideri and Moulana Mazhar Kazmi.  They
condemned the arrest of their leader Allama Sajid Ali
Naqvi and declared that Sajid Ali Naqvi was not
involved in the murder of Moulana Azam Tariq,
therefore Allama Sajid Naqvi should be released
forthwith.  The protesters also chanted slogans in
favour of Allam Sajid Naqvi and demanded his immediate
release.

CHAKWAL Nov, 21: Additional Director Anti-Corruption
Department Rawalpindi Region and District Police
Officer Chakwal ordered an inquiry against the SHO and
seven other Police officials of Dhudial Police
Station.  Amjid Shakeel resident of mohallah Saadat
Dhudial lodged his complaint and contended that he
along with Muhammad Azhar was sitting in the drawing
room of Muhammad Azhar and ASI Muhammad Irfan, Head
Constable Tariq, Naib Moharrar Abid and five Police
Constables Mukhtar, Saqib, Umar Hayat, Badar Muneer,
Muhammad Aleem stormed into the house and they caught
hold both of us and dragged us towards Dhudial Police
Station.  Police got naked Amjid Shakeel and tortured
him.  He was forced to telephone his house and rupees
four thousands were brought from the house which was
handed over to the SHO of Dhudial Police Station Malik
Mehmood on the assurance that we both will be
released.  Police released Muhammad Azhar on the next
day while he was booked in a false case of possession
of an illicit pistol.  The complainant also submitted
affidavits of two other people to support his version,
as they were the eyewitnesses of Police high
handedness.
