CHAKWAL, 7 NOV: An Old man was crushed to death at Chakwal Talagang Road near Qazi Service Station on Friday by a speedy coach. Muhammad Yaseen 65 R/O Village Warray was crossing the road and he was hit by coach no. JG-8955, resulting his instant death on the spot.  City Police Chakwal registered a case and started investigation.

CHAKWAL, 7 NOV: 5 armed persons open firing on two person, resulting multiple bullets injuries to them at Chakwal Talagang Road Near CNG Filling Station on Friday.  The accused Muhammad Afzal, Muhammad Saleeman, Irfan Akhter, Ghulam Ali, and Muhammad Anwar armed with weapons treaveling at Car No. Karachi 6710 and they dragged honorary Captain Muhammad Nawaz and Raja Mehar Khan village Chawli from Raksha.  They opened fire on them and inflicted serious injuries to them.  ASP Sadar Circle Ishfaq Ahmed along with heave contigent of Police started Chasing the accused car and got hold them at Mangon Munday road some 15 KM from here.  All the five accused was arrested and all the illicit arms along with Car was taken in to Police Custody case was a registered against them.

CHAKWAL, 7 NOV: The Chairman District Public Safety Commission Air Vice Marshal Retd: Khudad Dad Khan completed his tenure of one year and he was relieved from the duty.  According to the rules and regulations of the District Safety Commission, the chairman will be elected for one year among the Four Members that was nominated by the Government while the next year the Chairman would be from the four elected members from District Assembly Chakwal.  Now the new chairman will be among the three elected members Zafar Iqbal, Peer Nisar Qasam and Farzana Imtiaz as the fourth member Taqleed Raza was resigned as he was elected MPA. The public Safety Commission will elect its new Chairman on 8th November in its special Meeting.

CHAKWAL, 9 NOV: Malik Zafar Iqbal was elected unanimously elected new Chairman Of District Public Safety Commission Chakwal for One Year as his predecessor Air Vice Marshal Rtd. Khudad Dad Khan was relieved after completing his tenure.  According to the rules and regulation of District Public Safety Commission four of its members Khudad Dad Khan, Fahim Malik, Ch. Yousaf Raza and Yasmeen Farooqi were nominated by Punjab Govt. while four other members were elected through District Council Members by election.  One term Chairman would be from nominated members while other term will go to the elected members from District Council.  Taqleed Raza Shah a former member was elected as MPA therefore he was resigned.  The new Chairman to be elected from the three members Peer Nisar Qasam, Farazana Imtiaz and Zafar Iqbal.  It was interesting that all the three elected members were candidates for this prestigious slot and no body was interested to withdraw.  Then the four nominated members had a meeting they unanimously put their weight in favour of Zafar Iqbal and thus two other candidates with drew them selves, thus paving the way fro unanimous Chairman ship to Mr. Zafar Iqbal the Nazam of Union Council Duman.

CHAKWAL, 9 NOV: A Motor Cycle was burgled from Mohallah Takhta Abad in between Saturday and Sunday night.  Haji Abbas parked his Motor Cycle No. GTF: 639 at his house and at night time unknown person broken the locks of the house and managed to make good their escape with the Motor Cycle.  Motor Cycle theft in the City was alarmingly high as City Police Chakwal was failed to trace out the Gang of the thieves as stolen Motor Cycle Numbers went up to 68 during the last two-months.  In the mean time an old man was deprived of rupees of Six thousand at Ghazial Nachandi Road 35 K. M. from here in the area of Duman Police Station.  Raj Wali resident of Village Ghazial was waiting from Transport at Nachandi Bus Stop and he was offered a lift in the Car and when the Car reached near Ghazial, the three accused on Pistol point snatched rupees six thousands from Raj Wali and threw out him from the Car and fled away from the scene.

CHAKWAL, 9 NOV: A competition to prepare a newspaper was held at Govt. Islamia High School Chakwal on Sunday to celebrate the Iqbal Day.  Fourteen schools of District Chakwal participated in the computation and it was arranged by Phool Club Chakwal. Daily Khursheed prepared by the girls students of Khursheed International School secured first position, daily Sada-I-Iqbal prepared by Govt. boys high school No. 2 Chakwal bagged 2nd Position while daily Zameendar of Govt. High School Talagang was 3rd and Safeer-I-Azadi of Govt. Girls High School Chakwal got fourth position.  Chairman Baitulmal committee district Chakwal Raja Mujhad Afsar presided over the function while Secretary General Press Club Chakwal Kh: Babar Saleem was the Chief Guest. Welcome address was presented by chairperson Sadia Ikram while Dr. Ikaram-ul-Haq highlighted the performance of Phool Club Chakwal.  Speaking on this occasion Kh: Babar Saleem was of the view that District Chakwal is the custodian and heirs of founder of Urdu and Punjabi Ghazal Shah Murad and for this reason now more then one dozen local newspapers are published from District Chakwal which on record was remote and barani District of Punjab province.  Chairman Raja Mujhad Afsar announced a donation of rupees five thousand from Phool Club Chakwal and on his presidential address he termed Allama Iqbal as eternal poet and stressed the nead that muslim ummah should follow his philosophy.
