Welcome To Ambassador

More then 150 members turned up to welcome first Pakistani Ambassador in NZ , in welcome speech , Naveed Hamid President of PANZ praised the quick action of President of Pakistan Pervaz Musaraf , who fulfil his promise with in less the on year , in his speech he requested to Honourable Minister Phil Goef to the same by opening up an embassy in Pakistan

Minister of Defence and Justices . Phill Goaf said , this is a start of a new era , under the labour Govt I was the first foreign minister who visited Pakistan, he added as our bilateral relation in tread and politics will increase no doubt we will have NZ Embassy in Pakistan

Ambassador Of Pakistan Munawar Bhatti said , we have found the place for embassy , before 14th of Aug embassy will start working , we are here to help to community and we will increase the tread relation to the double in coming years

In answering the long question of Haider lone about Kashmir , Mr Ambassador said , this is successes of Pakistan Govt that we have brought India on table to talk after 40 years of dead lock , He added that Kashmir is very important part of our foreign policy , it is complicated matter , I can not give you set date but as long as we are doing dialogs on this matter one day we will solve it

Javaid Iqbal of Sohni Dharti requested to Mr Ambassador to shed some light on procedure of ID card,

Mr Ambassador said, as all data has to go to Pakistan , everyone can apply any time , to make it easy embassy can collects applications forms and send them to NADRA which takes approximately 4 to 6 weeks

Professor Masood introduced himself “My name is Masood , unfortunately I am Professor , does embassy have any budget are aim to open up an Urdu school for NZ born chalderns”

In replay Ambassador said in Pakistan people love to send their children to English medium school , it is strange that you are asking Urdu medium school in NZ

In mix and mingle time talking with Mr Ambassador , BillaG of Sohni Dharti asked although it is little too early to request as we know most of Pakistani live in Auckland , if it is possible to open up a MINI consulate in Auckland , which will make life easier for a lot of Pakistanis

Mr Bhatti Ambassador of Pakistan, said let us settle down first then we see if we need it or not, Mr Bhatti added , but in other way it would be a good excused to see us in Wallington
