Pak comedian Rangeela dies
Lahore :Pakistan’s most celebrated movie comedian, Rangeela, died Tuesday at the age of 74 after a prolonged illness, his family said.
The actor, whose off-screen name was Mohammad Saeed, died in a hospital in the eastern city of Lahore, the hub of Pakistan’s film industry known as Lollywood.
He started his career in 1958 and performed in hundreds of films, becoming the most popular comedian, particularly in Punjabi-language movies.
He leaves behind six sons and eight daughters from three wives, but none of them have followed his footsteps into the film business.
