PANZ Constitution Thanbk you ( PAGE 1)

  1. NAME: The name of the Society shall be “Pakistan Association of New     Zealand Incorporated”. Hereinafter referred to as the “Association”.

  1. OBJECTIVES:
    1. To promote better communication and liaison between the people of Pakistan in New Zealand.
    2. To promote better communication and understanding between the association and government and its government departments, local authorities, other groups and individuals for the benefit of Pakistani People in New Zealand.
    3. To promote and encourage Pakistanis to be proud of their custom, language, culture and values.
    4. To coordinate and assist the efforts of the Pakistani community throughout New Zealand for the progress and development and the betterment of the said community.
    5. To make such representation to government or government organizations both non and statutory as required in the fulfillment of the association’s objectives.
    6. To take any gift or property whether or not subject to any trust for one or more objects of the Association. To construct and maintain or alter any houses, building or works necessary or expedient for the purpose of the Association.
    7. To manage, lease, mortgage, sell or otherwise deal with all or part of the Association’s property.
    8. To take such steps by personal or written appeals, public meetings or otherwise as from time to time may be deemed expedient for the objective of the Association and to procure contributions to the funds of the Association in the form of grants, donation, contributions, annual subscriptions or otherwise.
    9. To invest any money of the Association not immediately required for any of its objectives in such manner as may from time to time be determined.
    10. To generate an emergency relief fund like funeral fund, in order to help the Pakistani People in case of emergency.
    11. To arrange cultural programs, celebrate national functions for the Pakistani Community.
    12. To coordinate and actively participate in the programs of other communities or organizations.   
    13. To guide / help out /support / assist the incoming Pakistani (s) migrating to New Zealand.
    14. To do all such other lawful things as may be deemed incidental or conducive to the attainment of or all the above objectives.

  1. FUNDS
    1. The Association is entitled to generate funds by getting donations to achieve their objectives.
    2. The Association is entitled to start any lawful business activity to generate funds from its profits.
    3. The Association is entitled to invest its money in any project to generate income, to invest surplus money into any Bank or investment company.
    4. The Association is entitled to borrow money from any person, organization, or financial institution.
    5. The Association is entitled to charge membership fee on Annual basis from its members

  1. THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE.
      1. The Executive Committee shall consist of 3 persons. Who are Pakistani and holds NZ Citizenship or PR, with good reputation having no criminal back ground. They should be honest, respected and recognized member of community and age over 18 years.

                                                                   i.      Selection Criteria of Executive Committee Members

    1.      In the 1st general meeting of Association the members will elect the 3 members for the Member Executive Committee by showing their hands for support.

    2.      The current members of the Executive Committee are not entitled to contest in the election of General Committee.

    3.      If one member of the Executive Committee Resigned or died the Rest two of the Executive members has the powers to select an other member of the Association as the Member of Executive Committee.

    4.      If two or all members resigned or died then the selection of the Executive Committee Members will be done by calling Special General Meeting.

     

                                                                 ii.      Powers/Role of Executive Committee.

    1.      To monitor, keep an eye on the activities of General Committee & responsible for long term projects.

    2.      To evaluate the performance of the General Committee
