CHAKWAL March 27. A women rally was held to mark
solidarity with the Iraqi people and its started from
Chakwal Press Club and marched on the various roads of
the City.  The rally was arranged by Aurat Foundation
Chakwal and it was lead by members District Assembly
Chakwal Rehana Babar Salim, Amna Bibi and Nayyer
Sultana.  The protesters women were carrying banner
and play cards in which no war against Iraq make peace
not war, no oil at the cost of blood, slogans were
inscribed.  The women were also shouting slogans
against George Bush and Tony Blair.  Earlier a protest
meeting was held at Chakwal Press Club which was
addressed by Nayyar Sultana, Rehana Babar, Sadaf,
Amina Bibi, Shajeea Ikram, Riffat Azhar, Rafaqat Naz
and Kaniz Fatima.  The ladies speakers were of the
view that the killing of innocent people for the sake
of oil is un-justified and the way USA behaved against
the sentiments of the people of the world and George
Bush wanted to implement the rule of jungle in the
world and it is not acceptable for every independent
country.  The speakers were confident that USA and its
allied forces would be defeated as they had themselves
declared that they are the axis of evil.  They further
spoke that Muslim countries should be united to face
the mite of USA and USA want to become the chaudhary
of the world.  In the meeting a resolution was adopted
unanimously in which it was demanded that the meeting
of security council should be called forthwith and
every effort should be used to stop this bloody was on
Iraq and Pakistan Government should play a decisive in
the calling of security council meeting.  This
procession was a first of its kind in the history of
District Chakwal.

CHAKWAL March 27. A new feeder in Dhudial Sub
Division was inaugurated on Wednesday by the SE WAPDA
Abdul Latif Zafar.  This feeder was provided from
Padshahan Grid Station with the cost of rupees 4.2
millions.  XEN WAPDA Chakwal Manzoor Ahmad while
speaking on this occasion told that this feeder was
completed with a record 15 days time and electricity
has been provided.  SDO WAPDA Dhudial Farman Ali, SDO
Construction Arshad Javid and Nazim Union Council
Padshahan Muhammad Shafique Ranjha also spoke on this
occasion.  SE WAPDA Abdul Latif Zafar on  his address
told that 134 new transformers have been installed in
District Chakwal and the low voltage problem have been
solved.  He further told that 85 new transformers will
also be installed in the coming days. 

CHAKWAL March 27. Kallar Kahar Police arrested a drug
pusher and recovered 250 grams of chares from him.
The accused Muhammad Shafique S/O Sher Zaman resident
of Village Chumbi was nabbed during routine petrol.
Police after registering the case send the accused in
the judicial lockup.
