CHAKWAL, Oct 9: The murder of Moulana Azam Tariq in
the capital of the country is a deep concerned as
Moulana was an ally of the Government and the way he
was assassinated showed the law and order situation in
the country and the statement of the Interier Minister
Faisal Saleh Hayat on the flour of the house is very
dubious and suspected which is creating confusion
among the mosses.  This was stated by the Naib Amir
Jamit-ul-Ulmai Islam NWFP and MNA Qari Faiz-ur-Rehman
and MNA of Muthida Majlis-e-Amal Qari Gull Rehman in a
joint press confrence at Dar-ul-Uloom Hanfia Chakwal.
The Ameer of MMA District Moulana Abdul Shakoor
Naqashbandi was also present on this occasion.  They
were of the view that Moulana Azam Tariq was the chief
of a religious organization and his murder speaks the
volume that the life and property of the common man is
un-secure in this country.  They suggested that the
matter of Moulana Azam Tariq killing should be brought
before the parliament for discussion and some remedial
measure are required so that such incident should not
happen again.  Replying to an other question Qari
Fiyaz-ur-Rehman told that the constitutional package
should be brought parliament forthwith and we will
support this package so that it should be adopted by
two-third majority as required by the 1973
constitution, however they confirmed that they will
not joined the present Government.  Qari Gull Rehman
MNA criticized the Government policies and termed
various agencies of Pakistan is suspected to be
involved in the murder of Moulana Azam Tariq.
Therefore interior Minister Faisal Saleh Hayat should
quit his job.

CHAKWAL, Oct 9: Peace committees in every District of
Punjab Province are directed to be mobilize
immediately to defuse the tension after the murder of
Moulana Azam Tariq.  A meeting of peace committee
District Chakwal was held and it was presided over by
ASP Saddar Circle Chakwal Ishfaq Ahmad while DSP
Headquarter Iftikhar-ul-Haq were also present on this
occasion.  The leaders from all walks of life attended
the meeting and assured District Administration and
Police that peace tranquility, brotherhood and
sectarian harmony will be observed.  The peace
committee was told that the security was beefed up at
the important Mosques and Imam Bargahs of District
Chakwal, however the people should also adopt safety
measures in their area and look a vigilant eyes on the
terrorists.

CHAKWAL, Oct 9: District Nazim Chakwal Sardar Ghulam
Abbas imposed section-144 throughout the District.
According to the handout issued by the District
Government says “the tension exist among various
religious groups / sects and situation has arisen in
the country where holding of public meeting,
demonstration, spreading of rumors and speeches in
inciting heated are likely to be in danger public
peace and tranquility, therefore assembly of five or
more person at any place, delivering of any speech,
rising of slogans, taking out procession and holding
of public meetings, use of loud speakers, use of tape
recorders at public places, display and carrying out
of fire arms and other lethal weapons, walk chalking
have been prohibited for one day i.e on 10 October
2003.
CHAKWAL, 10 OCT: A Sub Inspector of City police station Chakwal was demoted at the rank of ASI due to neglect of his duties.  SSP Chakwal Ch. Muhammad Zaman ordered inquiry against sub inspector Muhammad Hussain Bandial on various complaints against him and the allegations leveled against him was proved.  SSP immediately demoted him as ASI how ever he was directed to continue his duty in the City Police Station Chakwal.


CHAKWAL, 10 OCT: A prize bond dealer selling prize bond number was nabbed by city police Chakwal and recovered prize bond numbers amounting more than rupees one thousand.  Syed Muhammad Ali was selling was prize bond dealer was selling prize bond number in Public Call Office main Bazar Chakwal. Police raided and recovered prize bond numbers and rupees one thousand fifty five rupees from him and a case was registered and he was sent to the Judicial Lockup. In the mean time city police Chakwal in other case arrested Iftikhar Hussain resident of village Dingi on the charge of displaying arm at public place from Mohallah Chappar Bazar Chakwal. Police recovered illicit pistil from him.

CHAKWAL, 10 OCT: The internet users of Chakwal & Jhelume Districts were facing great hardships at PTCL gave the contract of these two District to a Private company XS and the company enhanced the rates up to five hundred percent thus the Internet Cards that were available at the rate of five to ten rupees per hour were dis allowed and even these private company Internet Cards were also available at the rate of one rupees per hour at night time.  Now with the collaboration of PTCL this private company XS monopolized on these two Districts and now this company was selling Internet Cards at the rate of rupees twenty-five per hour, thus making the use of Internet specially for students impossible. Those shopkeeper how had Private Internet Cards of other companies were also facing financial loss and difficulty to sell them. The people of both District demanded prime minister and communication minister to intervene into this matter and the old system of private companies Internet should be restored.
