Man Of The Day Today was a long day for volunteers of PANZ as we have to distribute donation boxes to all over the Auckland, my west is my area, we were given 15 donations boxes with a list dairy addresses and posters to cover west Auckland from Glengarry to Teatatu Peninsula, every dairy owner was happy to put that donation box, During this mission I received a Phone call from Abdul Choudhry, who works for Harcourt’s real state, rang me and said I want to do some thing for earth quake victims, if there is any thing I can do? , I told him our mission of the day he said if we can come to his office, we went to his office he bought few tickets, and said he would like to keep three of donation boxes which he give to his friends, and more then that he said he would like to keep a ticket book too, which he will sell to his colleagues, this tell us our people have enthusiasm, all we need a right direction ZARA NUM HO TO YE MATTI BHI BARRY ZARKHAIZ HEY SAQUI

Dewali Yesterday day PANZ team had its donations stall in Waitakrai stadium, response from public was overwhelming ,today unsung hero was a sardar ji who donated $200, who came there to celebrate the diwali, probably that money was for his spending money for diwali, "this is right cause and this is right place I am spending my money, diwali will come again, If my money can save some body life it would be better then 10 diwalis". Friday we were in Ranui Masjid to collect donations for earthquake victims, surprised to see that some other peoples in name of Kashmir fund were collecting donations for same cause, it is good to see more and more peoples are volunteer for noble cause, but if two organizations will be doing the same thing at same time for same cause at same place , what kind of signal it will be sending to other communities, we need to work on together at least a coordinat the efforts to minimize the confusion among volunteers of both organizations, as it happened in one of Masjid . When volunteers of both organization exchanged harsh words with each other In this kind of fund compange , after time and force most important thing is coordination this would be good if we join our efforts and work in more effective way Other report came to Sohni Dharti that we cannot collect fund Masjid Mustafa just because PANZ did not have permission prior to NAMAZ Juma Other reports suggest that PANZ were stopped getting donations from Masjid Farooq, because according to care takers of this Masjid, Masjid Mustafa is collecting donations that is enough therefore PANZ is not allowed collect donation from this Masjid it may be just coincidence or these things are happening with deliberation THE reports shows that Kashmir relief fund people are carrying a latter from FIANZ, which is a very strong Federation of Islamic Associations and these Masjids are under the FIANZ , when Sohni Dharti asked this question to Haider Lone who is member of Fianz he said "we didn't not issue any letter to Kashmir relief funds President of PANZ have to look in this matter urgently to find the ways of coordination then contrast

I would like to make a correction concerning the receipt about the tents. The tents have been donated by Ed Stanton and Glen is his son who works for Prestige Realty on the North Shore. I had the honour of hosting tea for Ed Stanton at my house on Wednesday the 2nd of November after which he officially handed over the tents to PANZ with the assurance that they would be airlifted ASAP to Islamabad Pakistan. Therefore credit should be given to Ed Stanton for his generosity.

Yesterday telephone ring , other side it is Yaqoob Bhatti, saying Eid Mubarak and asked what new in community , because he just landed from OZ, he wants to see me , I told him that I have been given the job to arrange soft drinks for Eid Millan and after that I have to cook food for one dish party, with out any hesitation Mr Bhatti offer his hand and said put all drinks on me, Some people wait for opportunity, Some people look for opportunity, Mr Bhatti is one who hunt for it, and he is good in this, every thing is good if you put little heart it

Analysis In first meeting for disposal of earthquake funds.. President of PANZ Naveed Hamid. Stated his attention very clearly by saying that he already has 17 vote of business peoples with him in support of Edhi trust, where it was strongly objected by BillaG, that if you going to start voting from 17 then there is no point calling this public meeting Mr. president took pleaded in favour of business people by advocating that these are the people who donated biggest chunks of money, we should listen them. This was first hint of pressure from business men PANZ showed In this pubic meeting , by seeing public response in favour of President funds Mr. President said "I need more feedback" this was his first shock to PANZ President and business community. Donation The winter will hit the earthquake affectees in the middle of November and it has already reached sub-zero temperatures in many earthquake affected areas. Many families are sleeping out in the unbearable cold. Children have already started dying due to bronchitis and pneumonia.

23/11/2005 Stephanie NebehayHollywood stars Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, who have been romantically linked, plan to visit quake survivors in northern Pakistan in coming days.
Jolie, a goodwill ambassador for the UN refugee agency, has travelled to more than 20 countries since taking up the high-profile job in August 2001.
"We'll be on our way to Pakistan in a matter of days," Jolie, dressed in light-coloured trousers and a black raincoat, told Reuters after she and Pitt attended private briefings at the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) this week.
About 100 staff thronged them, many seeking photographs and autographs as they left its Geneva headquarters after the unannounced visit.
The UNHCR, through a joint airlift with NATO, has flown winterised tents and shelter material to hundreds of thousands of people left homeless by the devastating October 8 quake, which killed more than 73,000 people in Pakistan.
But needs remain great in the mountainous Kashmiri region as the harsh winter begins to bite, according to UN aid agencies.
It was the first time that Jolie, who visits UNHCR headquarters about once a year, was accompanied by Pitt.
The Oscar-winning actress has travelled widely for the Nobel-winning agency, which protects people fleeing wars and persecution, including Sierra Leone, Cambodia, Kosovo, Russia and Sudan's Darfur region.
Jolie said her latest briefings with staff had covered the environment, violence against women and trafficking.
"She takes her work for us extremely seriously and that means a lot to her and the staff. She's a terrific goodwill ambassador who can help people understand the difficult life of a refugee," said UNHCR spokeswoman Jennifer Pagonis.
LABOUR Few weeks ago there was a suggestion from labour party command that they want to thanks Pakistani community for there support and they will bring generous of Labour party to donate money for earthquake victims of Pakistan. Winter has arrived and with it aid workers' worst fears. This week six children have died from the cold, the latest a three-month-old baby boy. It's the cruellest of ironies to survive the devastating earthquake of October 8 only to die a few weeks later just for the want of some blankets and winterised tents.
Things are only going to get worse in the weeks ahead. The United Nations Children Fund (Unicef) fears that at least 120,000 children are still without any aid in the inaccessible mountain villages and 10,000 children will perish of hunger, hypothermia and disease if they are not reached soon. The clock is ticking and winter's guillotine is poised to fall, severing all aid routes until the thaw next spring.

V for victory or V for vulture Its nearly more then 6 month PANZ is sitting on $26000 which we collected for victims of biggest disaster of Pakistan's history , keeping this money here in bank we might be able to earn few dollars as interest but PANZ should not forget that why we collected this money , we all know people are dying over there and here we are waiting for ambassador to come so Mr. president can present him cheque to score some marks , if this is the case for delay then keep in mind PANZ Present is no less the vulture who want to score marks on dead bodies of our brother and sisters Mr. President is showing lack of interest in community affairs and prefer his personal commitment over community betterment . Brother Billa G,for your information it was decided at the 23rd March Celebration that within 1 mth time from that date the funds will be transffere to Pakistan.General Cabinet decided this money will go into President Fund,with completion of the legal requirements,because one signatory was not in New Zealand at the time.So Brother Billa G it's not a Sohni Darti call as PANZ is doing their work accordingly and officially.
