Talking with Sohni Dharti , former Patron of PANZ , Dr Ketan, said, in Pakistan, I have given all my house ware in donations and his daughter has given all her dowry ( JAHAIZ) in President funds, Dr Ketan said its not only shame but it would be hight of stupidities if PANZ give this money to Edhi trust, he said we should put our donation money where we need it most and this stage it President fund who is providing care for victims of earthquake, and responsible for their rehabilitations too, Dr Wasim Ketan said, I strongly recommend President funds
I don’t care about business community if they insist they can have their $20000 back , I can generate more then they gave , all I do care about is public and those volunteer who work relentlessly to achieved the target of $100000, I am getting a lot of feed back from public on phone and emails, but I need solid proof with name and telephone number, or we can assess by the electronic referendum on Sohni Dharti that which way community wants to go said Naveed Hamid President of Pakistan Association Of New Zealand, Mr President said dead line is coming Saturday, if any one want to registered his/ her opinion must come before Saturday, on Sohni Dharti or can ring him on 021577786, he said I appreciate Sohni Dharti’s referendum which is giving us right direction that what ways public wants to go

I am strongly in favour of sending money to Government of
Pakistan,(GOP) Who is sole responsible for rehabilitation
program. This is a shallow thinking to send money to NGO. That
mean what ever efforts u people did to collect these donation
were all for any NGO not for affected people or for Pakistan. I
know most of the people don’t know how these NGOs operate their
business.
Moreover, imagine , what impression of the community u r making
in front High commission, as well as to GOP, to whom u r
requesting for embassy opening in NZ and funding for Jinnah
Hall. What do u think the people who are against sending money
to NGO will not propagate this issue and communicate to GOP
through High commission or directly, that what NZ community
leaders did with the donated funds ? Instead of sending money
to pool fund of GOP they handed over to a NGO?.
I know that credibility of all NGOs including Eddi is equally
doubtful and some of them are facing scandals of selling,
exporting human dead bodies part to make money. I am unable to
understand why u r in favour of this foolish idea.
I personally dislike Present President in uniform and his
puppet govt in Pakistan but still GOP has a reliable system of
check and balance and whole world is showing confidence on it.
Why u people are thinking in a wrong way. However if u think
that there are a few people in our business community who need
to educate and convince, then make a committee who should go to
them and clear the whole position for their knowledge..
Moreover I am not in favour of arranging any function or program
for eid celebration in a traditional way. We should tell our
children that what happened with us being Pakistani. How much
Pakistan affected by this National Tragedy .Even we should
celebrate eid day as simple as we can individually do at home.
PANZ should advise and teach through media to the local
people that save some money from eid dresses, big food
programs and parties and spare it for victims.

Referendum Good to see overwhelming response from members of Sohni Dharti. Sohni Dharti thanks those who participated and casts theirs vote , It was first and biggest national level issue we discussed here, votes clear cut in favour of President funds, but bear in mind this referendum was to pave the way for crucial decision, final decision is in hands of our leaders, and leadership can go against the public decision, if still it hard to make any decision the don't for get opinion of executives Results Of Referendum President Relief funds 116 Edhi Trust 54
So billa g you also have votes in your pocket like president panz but the difference is that panz president knew and mentioned the names of the community members but you even dont know who was casting vote manmohan singh or sharma gee.sorry just kidding
President's Decision We have more then $100000, I have made up my decision 100000 will go to President funds and rest the money we will keep for other expenditures like sanding the container to Pakistan and freights for container from see port to effected areas, announced by Pakistan association president Naveed Hamid Mr president said from today it is closing of phase one, tomorrow we will be starting phase two, he said we will be collecting FITRAN on Eid day from all available Eid GAAHs, and we need more and more volunteers to maximise our efforts, Phase 2 money will go to our G/S who is already there in effected areas, Sohni Dharti request to PANZ G/s to sand us some details of short term but long lasting projects like small school or any useful thing which Pakistan association can be proud of, ( original idea came from Ch Mukhtiar) Eid Milan one dish party is on hold till further notice
