Still it is under consideration. It depend upon donations PANZ received. To cope with funds:
If the hall belongs to City council, they will give you discount, if it
belongs to some community then they could be contacted to negotiate it and
give them some insentive.
High Commisioner in Australlia can be contacted for this particular event.
A couple of months ago, I wrote whole project to Mr. President to apply for
funds from Community Assistance Funds, and I gave him other ideas also to
cope with these expenses.
It seems I wasted my time.

One Month to Go
Three weeks to go and we are still waiting for some sort orf response from Mr President , last time Mr President told the community that hall is booked but which hall still unsure, there is one solid option is out there which is Balmoral hall , which is all ready booked by Mr Tauqir Khan for 14 of Aug 2003 , payment has been done by Mr Khan and Mr Khan is willing to donate it to PANZ. If there is any other option please let us know as time is running fast Catering problem has been solved as Mr Ketan has taken the responsibly for food of 800 to 1000 people In donation matter Mr Cheema is in and willing to do his part, please let us know what other Top men of community are doing , there are lot of generous people ( don’t count Me) in our community, you or your team need to approach them Remember this PANZ has to sell those passes too and only 3 weeks to go
Concern Today on brief conversation with Mr Bhatti on phone, Mr Bhatti wants to pass on his concern about catering for 1000 people , Mr Bhatti said it not a one man job, cooking for 1000 people need at least 5 to 7 strong men teem to organise from chopping onion to building fire and to carry whole lot cooking to hall as well, when I talked this same matter with Mr Ketan, who took the respectability for all caterings , Mr Ketan said that Mr President promised that PANZ would provide the place and team of 5 to 7 people to help Dr Ketan

Dear All Pakistani Brothers, Bhabhis, Children and sisters, It is a matter of pride and and grace that we are celebrating Pakistan Day function, thousands of miles away from our country of birth. The other day I was having a converstaion with a "Friend", he was adamant that we all have left Paksitan and should NOT bring the matter of Pakistaniism over here. I disagreed with him TOTALLY. Look I am here, in this part of world for the last TWENTY EIGHT years. I came to NZ, the first time, in1975, on my way to FIJI to take up an assignment at Ministry of Health Fiji. All my children are born in Fiji and Malta. However IF they go any where WHAT are they called /labelled - "PAKISTANIS". What I am trying to say that Pakistan is our "Identity". And we simply cannot deny this fact. When two brothers are living under the same roof they DO have differences and they DO quarrel with each other, but when they go out they are still called "Brothers". Please try to understand it. To have differences is OK to discuss it is also OK BUT please DO NOT make it an EGO PROBLEM. When it's time to work together, please come forward and work together. Dr Ketan has offered a great gesture, we all must appreciate and offer what ever we can afford. In urdu it's called "Damay, Durmay, Sukhanay" means by hands, by efforts, by talks and by putting your hands in your pocket. Remember PZNZ is the assciation of Pakistanis NOT an association of BD's, Indians, Fijians or Pakehas. The executives are all elected by US (Not United States), GOOD or BAD, DOES NOT MATTER, they are amongst us and we have chosen them by a majority. Let them work and IF we do not agree with them, we will have a chance in an year time to change them. To criticize them is a healthy job so that they remain on track and undertsnad, the simple fact, that they are answerable to all of us, the Pakistani Community living in NZ. But remember that please Do not take this critisizing on a personal note. To organize a function with that a number of expected attendance is a heavy task, money wise and also needs man power. We must volunteer to work with them. Having said that, with my age and lack of time, I have on hand, I can offer a simple donation of $200.00. Any of the executive can come to my showroom and collect it any time between 10.00.AM - 5.00.PM from Tuesday till Sunday. We close on Mondays. Doc
