Hot News (21st July)

CHAKWAL JULY, 21. Two persons including a four year
old minor child were killed in a road-side accident on
Monday at Chakwal-Jhelum road near Rizwan Textile
Mills some ten kilometer from here.  A Chakwal bound
speedy pick up No.FDR-6864 from Saigol-Abad when
reached near Rizwan Textile Mills it was collided with
a motorcycle coming from opposite direction and after
this pickup collided with a tree along side the road,
resulting killing of four year old Amir Hamza sitting
on motorcycle while his Father Samundar Khan and
mother Azad Begum sustained multiple injures.  A
passenger in the pickup Bahadar Khan S/O Nadir Khan
resident of Village Chak Malook was killed while
fourteen other received multiple injures and they were
shifted to District Headquarter Hospital Chakwal.
Saddar Police Chakwal registered a case and started
investigation. 

CHAKWAL JULY, 21. The dialogue between Government and
opposition will be useful as both the parties are
behaving and they had realized that confrontation will
lead to disaster  and democracy will be in danger if
both the parties did not work together.  This was
stated by State Minister for Environment Major 짰 Tahir
Iqbal while addressing oath taking ceremony of
Divisional Union of Journalists Rawalpindi, Chakwal
Press Club and Seminar on Regional Journalism and
Democracy are imminent at Chakwal Press Club.  The
seminar was presided over by Secretary General of
Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists Mr. C.R.
Shamasi.  The President Divisional Union of
Journalists Kh: Babar Salim presented welcome address
and highlighted the problems faced by the journalist’s
community.  Those who also spoke on this occasion are
Soofi Muhammad Ayub Kahotta, Haji Muhammad Maskeen
Mughal Hassan Abdal, Muhammad Khan Aqil Chakwal and
Mr. C.R. Shamsi.  The minister was of the view that a
free press is a true spirit and Jamali Government
believes in freedom of press but the press is not
playing its due role, which is required at this
important juncture of Pakistan history.  The minister
was confident that present Government will complete
its tenure of five years and the way of dialogue
between combined opposition and Government will
restart, there is every chances of a compromise as
both the parties are showing flexibility and this is
the true spirit of democracy.  The Minister also
distributed awards and shields among 20 journalists
belonging to Jhelum, Chakwal, Attock and Rawalpindi
District for their excellent performance during the
year and these awards and shields were presented by
Nazim Union Council Noor Pur Malik Muhammad Ashraf
Bhalial.  District Naib Nazim Malik Naeem Tariq,
Tehsil Nazim Chakwal Amir Bhatti, Naib Nazim Teshil
Chakwal Malik Altaf Hussain Dharukna, President
District Bar Mr. Noor Ali Shakoori and other elite of
the city were present on this occasion. 

CHAKWAL JULY, 21. The 15 councilors submitted a vote
of no confidence against the Naib Nazim of Union
Council Chakwal-II Chakwal City and the Nazim was
survived at the last moment as he also supported the
fifteen councilors.  The fifteen councilors of Union
Council Chakwal City-II came to the office and they
were in a mood to present no confidence motion against
Nazim Haji Muhammad Rafique and Naib Nazim Ch:
Azhar-ul-Hassan.  But at the last moment Nazim Haji
Rafique supported the fifteen councilors and he
himself put his signature against the Naib Nazim.  The
councilors complaint about the indifference behaviour
of Naib Nazim Ch: Azhar-ul-Hassan as he become a
dictator and ignoring the councilors from the past two
years has become a habit of him which forced the
councilors to stand against him.  It is learned that
the date of voting on no confidence motion will be
announced within three days.  The fifteen councilors
and the Nazim vowed to vote out Naib Nazim Ch:
Azhar-ul-Hassan.
