CHAKWAL JULY, 26.                  The strike of patwaries entered on the fourth day on Friday while the butchers of District Chakwal ended their one day strike after having a successful dialogue with the local administration.  The strike was expanded to District level on Friday and there was no work at the three Tehsil offices of District Chakwal.  Patwaries staged a sit in at the their camp at Tehsil office and vowed to continue their struggle till the transfer of District Officer Revenue and Deputy District Officer Revenue Tehsil Chakwal.  The dialogue between patwaries and Revenue Officer were failed as the patwaries were firmed on their demands.  The Divisional President Qazi Muhammad Naseer Baloch told that no dialogue will be made to any Revenue Officer and on one point agenda, the dialogue will be made with District Nazim and that one point agenda is the transfer of DOR and DDOR Chakwal.  In the meantime DDOR Chakwal Dr. Anbar Ali Khan was of the view that fourteen patwaries was suspended due to mis-conduct but patwaries are blackmailing the situation and we will not the press and he termed the strike of patwaries illegal. 

The butchers of District Chakwal ended their strike dramatically as the local administration has no authority and power to ask the butchers to sell meat on the prices fixed by District Price Control Committee Chakwal.  On Friday two shops of butchers were opened and they sold the meat at the rate of rupees 75 per KG for beef and 140 per KG for mutton.  The butchers went to the Police Station for the registration of case against these two butchers but ASP Saddar Circle Chakwal told the butchers that such cases were registered by the recommendation of special judicial magistrate as there was no special judicial magistrate in District Chakwal therefore the local administration has no authority to check the prices.  Then a dialogue was made between butchers and the local administration and the butchers ended the strike as the local administration has asked them to sell beef at the rate of 60 per KG and mutton at rupees 120 per KG. 

 

CHAKWAL JULY, 26.                  The trail of famous CIA Police gang rape case was adjourned for 7th August.  Additional District and Session Judge Chakwal Hassan Mabroor Kiani firstly issued warrant of arrest for lady medical officer Dr. Muneera Jalil who was reluctant to appear before the court despite three notices issued by the court but in the meantime the representative of lady medical officer told the court that Dr. Muneera Jalil will appear before the court, for her statement, the leaned Judge withdrawn the warrant of arrest and issued an other notice to the lady medical officer.  The mother of the victim Nasreen Akhter and her counsel Syed Ejaz Hussain Hamdani Advocate were present in the court and the learned counsel told the court that the women medical officer is residing at Chakwal and despite compliance of court notice, she not appearing before the court therefore court should issued a warrant of arrest for her.  The statement of lady medical officer is very important in this case as the victim and her mother seeking justice from the past eight years.
