CHAKWAL JULY, 3. All the old national identity cards
will be cancelled by 1st January 2004 and more than
ten millions computerized identity cards is yet to be
made, therefore the people who did not have new
computerized identity card should harry and approached
to the swift center established by the NADRA at 120
places of the country and 200 more swift center will
be established in the coming financial year.  This was
stated by Chairman NADRA Brigadier 짰 Salim Mohin on
Wednesday while talking to the newsmen after the
inauguration of swift center Chakwal.  State Minister
for Environment Major 짰 Tahir Iqbal inaugurated the
swift center and Brigadier Babar Aziz Baig, Colonel 짰
Shaukat Raza, Tehsil Nazim Chakwal Amir Bhatti and
other officials were also present on this occasion.
The Chairman further told that after depositing only
sixty rupees and Photo State of old identity card, one
can get the computerized identity card within one
month and urgent computerized card will also be
available within fifteen days after depositing 180
only.  The Chairman told that more than ten millions
computerized identity cards is yet to be made,
therefore the people should come forward and get their
computerized identity cards.  The Chairman declared
that computerized identity cards have the potential of
domicile, therefore who had a national identity card,
there is no need of domicile, therefore the provincial
Government should take the matter and provide relief
to the common man regarding the domicile matter.
Replying to an other question Chairman disclosed that
lacs of fake and bogus identity cards were unearthed
by NADRA and these cards were cancelled and NADRA is
looking forward for swear checking on suspected
identity cards  that were made during the past years.


CHAKWAL JULY, 3. The State Minister for Environment
Major 짰 Tahir Iqbal on Wednesday declared that Prime
Minister Zafar-Ullah Khan Jamali is strict to his
commitment for calling the meeting of all the
parliamentary parties that are representing in the
parliament but combined opposition should withdraw no
confidence motion against the Deputy Speaker of
National Assembly is this motion is a sheer waste of
the time as Government had already prove its clear
majority in the National Assembly in the no confidence
motion against the speaker.  He was talking to the
newsmen after inaugurating the swift center
established by the NADRA at District Chakwal to
provide computerized identity card within fifteen days
and in month time.  The state minister was of the view
that the opposition attitude is purely undemocratic,
uncivilized and there calls for agitation and protest
is un-justified as they should face the matters in the
superior judiciary, regarding the B.A certificate.
The minister replying to an other question told that
most of the parliamentarian who are opposing the
uniform of General Pervaiz Musharraf were close aides
of General Ayub and General Zia-ul-Haq and that time
they had not objected on those General’s Military
uniforms.  The minister further told that opposition
wanted to overflow the democratic Government and they
are getting dictation from out side the country and
now adopting agitational politics, the opposition
wanted to pressurize judiciary and Government but the
Government will not be blackmailed and in democratic
norm ruling and power is the right of majority.  The
minister also paid rich tribute to the NADRA officials
for establishing a swift center in District Chakwal
and it is the need of the hour.  The Chairman on this
occasion told that more than four millions
computerized identity cards has been delivered to the
people and in this regard District Chakwal is number
one throughout the country. 

CHAKWAL JULY, 3. District Assembly Chakwal on
Wednesday approved various contracts of roads to the
contractors and District Government will earn millions
of rupees from these contracts.  The session was
presided over by Naib Nazim District Chakwal Malik
Naeem Tariq.  Those members who spoke on this occasion
are Syed Maqbool Shah, Qurban Hasnain Shah, Ch:
Ghazanfar Ali Khan, Ashraf Bhalial, Raja Ghulam Abbas,
Malik Feroz Khan, Malik Aslam, Tariq Mehmood Advocate,
Colonel 짰 Muhammad Younas and they presented budget
relief proposal in the house.  The house was told that
the budget session of District Assembly will be held
within week time.
