CHAKWAL JULY, 7.Four armed persons murdered a taxi
driver at Village Tatral in the area of Saddar Police
Station some five kilometer from here and managed to
make good their escape with the car. The four unknown
accused booked taxi car No.LOS-7900 for Chakwal from
Mandi Bahawal-Din and when they reached near Village
Tatral the dacoits took out daggers and ordered the
driver Manzoor Ahmad S/O Ahmad Khan resident of
Village Head Faqerian to hand over the car to them.
The driver resisted therefore the dacoits stabbed him
and inflicted multiple injures to him and they also
threw the driver out of the car in the deserted area
and fled away from the scene. The seriously injured
driver managed to reach a Dhoke of the Village and
told the matter to Muhammad Riaz who reported to
matter to rescue 15. The injured Manzoor was rushed
to District Headquarter Hospital Chakwal but he did
not survive, Saddar Police Chakwal registered a case
and started investigation.

People’s Party Punjab and Deputy Opposition leader in
Punjab Assembly Raja Riaz Ahmad said on Monday that
General Pervaiz Musharraf is trapped into his self
style democracy as he failed to get leader of
oppositions of his own choice at center and four
provinces, which is a major hurdle in his dictatorial
rule on the country. He was talking to the newsmen
after attending the Walima reception of local
educationist Raja Yasir Sarfraz. District Nazim
Chakwal Sardar Ghulam Abbas, Tehsil Nazim Chakwal Amir
Bhatti, The leader of PMLN and former MPA Ch: Ayaz
Amir and Ch: Liaqat Ali Khan also attended the
reception. Raja Riaz Ahmad was of the view that
General Pervaiz Musharraf achieved leader of the
houses in the parliament as well as in the four
provinces by using Government machinery and other
negative tactics as according to his plan he also
wanted the leader of oppositions of his own choice but
the combined opposition after joining hand to gather
failed the conspiracy hatched by General Pervaiz
Musharraf regarding so called restoration of democracy
in the country. Replying to an other question Raja
Riaz Ahmad told that Benazir Bhutto is ready to come
to Pakistan immediately but the central executive
committee of Pakistan People’s Party advised her to
wait for proper time. Raja Riaz Ahmad further told
that there is a constitutional crises and political
vacuum in the country therefore it is the need of the
hour that Benazir Bhutto and Nawaz Sahrif should be
allowed to come to Pakistan and to play there
effective role in the changing political scenario of
the country. Raja Riaz Ahmad declared that the
present Government is failed to protect the life and
property of the people and the recent killing at
Quetta is a clear cut answer that the so called
political Government is failed to deliver.

them while a 30 bore pistol was also recovered from an
accused Imran Qaisar. Those who were arrested are
Muhammad Ishfaq S/O Noor Zaman and his brother Mushtaq
Hussain S/O Noor Zaman while 30 bore pistol was
recovered from the accused Imran Qaisar S/O Khyzir
Hayat resident of Village Mari. Police have
registered separate cases against the accused and
started investigation.
