CHAKWAL JULY 6: The development projects of more than
rupees 3 billion have been initiated in Distt. Chakwal
and 70 percent of them were completed and the work on
the remaining projects are underway and Distt. Chakwal
is prominent in the whole punjab province as far as
the developing schemes are concerned. This was stated
by Distt. Nazim Chakwal Sardar Ghulam Abbas on
saturday at Chakwal press Club after attending Meet
the Press Programme. Sceratery General Press Club
Chakwal Kh: Babar Saleem briefed about the problems
faced by the journalist community and demanding a
tennis and Badminton courts and a boundary wall for
Chakwal Press Club. Distt. Nazim Chakwal Sardar Ghulam
Abbas told that rupees 120 million will be spent at
Kallar Kahar for promotion of tourism and Punjab
Government provided rupees22.2 millions. Rs.60
millions will be spent on the construction of Chakwal
sports Complex and the foundation stone of this
project will be laid down very shortly. Distt. Nazim
further told that rupees 40 millions project at Govt.
Post Gruaduate College Chakwal and Tala Gang Degree
College have been started and it will be completed in
one year. He further told that Rs.50 millions OPD
Block is at final stage at D.H.Q hospital Chakwal
while more than Rs.40.3 million medicines were
purchased during the past two years for hospitals in
Distt. Chakwal. He also briefed about the agriculrure
sector and told that 300 turbines, 132 lift pumps and
pavements were constructed with the cost of Rs. 100
millions and Rs.10 million was also spent for the
improvement of small dems in Distt. Chakwal. General
Pervaiz Musharaf provided Rs.100 million for the
promotion of Primary education and Rs.200 million for
the improvement of Watar Supply Scemes in Distt.
Chakwal. Distt. Nazim also told that Punjab Govt. has
sanctioned two new small dams that will be constructed
at Mial and Dharabi and more than Rs.one billion will
be spent on it. Distt. Nazim replying to another
question was of the view that the impect of new Distt.
Govt System is gaining roots among the masses and now
people are reposing their confedence in this new
system. He further told that the old political culture
to victomise opponents have been burried. Distt. Nazim
Sardar Ghulam Abbas anounced full cooperation of
Distt. Government for promotion of jounalism and
uplift of Chakwal Press Club.

CHAKWAL JULY 6: Distt. and Session Judge
Chakwal/Election Tribunal Ch: Riaz Ahmed declared
loosing Nazim and Naib Nazim of Union Council Bhochal
Kalan as a winner and unseated Nazim and Naib Nazim of
the said union council on sturday. Malik Akhtar Shabaz
and Malik Ahsan filed an election petition before the
tribunal and contended that the winner Nazim Ashrad
Zaki and Naib Nazim Malik Ijaz Hussain bagged same
number of votes and reurning officer Chakwal decided
the matter on Toss and declared Ashraf Zaki and Malik
Ijaz Hussain winner as Nazim and Naib Nazim of union
council Bhochal Kalan. The learnd Judge ordered the
recounting of the polls and after counting Malik
Akhtar Shahbaz and Malik Ahsan Dharukna declared
winner by the margin of six votes.
