CHAKWAL JULY, 4. Four persons including two women were killed in four different
incidents.  A 28 year young man was murdered at Village Padshahan in the area of
Dhudial Police Station.  The motive behind this murder was a quarrel of minor
child.  The accused Muhammad Asmat and his father Muhammad Asam opened fire on
Amjid Mehmood and his father Muhammad Akhtar resulting death of Amjid at the
spot while Akhter Mehmood received multiple injures.  Both the parties are close
relatives.  In the second incident 35 years old Tariq Mehmood S/O Allah Dittah
got himself killsed with a pistol fire.  This incident was occurred at Village
Dhapai in the area of Dhumman Police Station some 35 kilometer from here.  The
deceased was jobless, therefore he was desprite and he committed suicide.  A
sennty years old women was killed at Village Ghazial in the area of Dhumman
Police Station when he was hit by a pickup.  Zainab Bibi resident of Ghazial was
hit by a pickup driver Haji Abdul Razaq.  In the fourth incident an old women
was crushed by a speedy tractor at Talagang road Chakwal on Thursday resulting
her instant death.  Nagaran Bibi of mohallah Madina Town was on its way to meet
her daughter when a speedy tractor No. SAA-2895 hit her so strongly that she
died on the spot.  City Police Chakwal on the report of Waqar Hussain S/O
Muhammad Shah resident of Village Karsal registered a case against tractor
driver Muhammad Ghani and started searching him.

CHAKWAL JULY, 4. District and Session Judge Chakwal Ch: Riaz Ahmad accquitted all the accused in the famous Sobia gange rape case.  According to the Police report on 2 November 2002 Sobia Yasmin D/O Abdul Ghafoor resident of Village Mohra Awan was gange raped by Mehboob Hussain Buga, Raja Muhammad Jamil, Mumtaz
Hussain, Muhammad Latif, Altaf Hussain Shah, Muhammad Asim.  The aunt of the
victim Kaniz Fatima was also involved in this case.  During the trial Sobia
Yasmin recorded her statement that she was gange raped but those people who were
nominated in FIR were not committed sexual assault on her and she did not know
about them and she had nothing to do with them.  However Police got her thumb
impression in a plain paper and Police itself named these accused in the FIR.
The learned Judge after listening the arguement acquitted all the accused by
giving them the benefit of the doubt.
