What we are doing?

14 August is not a history only or creation of new state, its a trumph or win of a Idea that we are one united and together for our interests and faith.  Quid A Azam was not a fanatic Muslim but a great leader to build Mosque or memorial is a easy thing but to have independent land is perhaps the greatest blessing indo pak Muslim ever have had.  We been ruling the India since Muhammad bin Qasam but India was not our land for political purposes some of our Muslim leaders had to declare their religious alliances with Hundus which were in majority at that time, we can not forget Akbar-a-Azam who was muslim but to secure his seat invented Din-a-Allahi, even Muhammad Bin Qasam married so many hundu girls just to satisfy local population we were fearful and depressed even we were ruler so Pakistan is the first independent land for the Muslims of Indo pak.  What we are doing today not only killing this Idea of indipendent land but also we are killing each other by doing two functions at great day.

Interpretations Of Independence The two Wings of Pakistan had a few things in common. One was the religion and no doubt, it was a very strong link. The other was that the British ruled both until 1947. In and around the years of partition of the subcontinent the Muslims were facing an identity crisis. Many "became confused about what partition means and who they are". Despite that, the Muslims in the Western wing were soon to come in tune with their new identity. The Eastern wing had had to continue with a shaken identity that deepened with every passing day. For most of them the foreign occupation had not ended yet. We can argue with those who strongly believe that religion alone was not to function as social cement between the two wings. In fact, it was to. The problem, however, was much deeper- whose religion was that to be: Islam as cherished in the Eastern wing or Islam as projected in Western wing? Certainly, a class of economically and politically dominant Muslim in the Western wing "wanted to impose a cultural uniformity based on Islam as interpreted by them". And that was not acceptable to the people across the Rubicon. For them it was an added attempt to dilute their identity further.

Idea of seperate state was originally come from eastern wing when Bungal was divided by the British into two independent unit, luckly one unit was with Muslim majority so congress at that time didn't accepted the partion becz their leadership couldn't see the muslims prosperus in independent unit so they marched against this division and finally this division was revoked by the british.  So Muslims from eastern wing came forword to farm muslim leage and finally they supported their leaders to create Pakistan. Islam is same in west or east but their were and are some traditions and cultural things which are well wrapped in Islam in both sides. The actual crises between two wing was economy and rulling thirst. The people who wanted to rule the country in both side misinterpreted the things and political developments in their way. In my opinion we have no identity crises becz identity includes three things rigen, race and faith and we have all three. but we are not in a habit to work together this is our crises.

Our problem is not working together, our problem is that we not sincere with the cause, for exampal in Ayoob khan’s marshal law we were inclined toward secularism, in Zia’s marshal law we were inclined toward theoisam when TIKTIKI was papular, now we are passing through “Moderate enlightment “ , what we will call it? What ever name we give this , crisis is there, if we don’t curb our habits these become necessity and to full fill these necessity we misuse our authorities, that’s where the corruption starts which leads us to level of brain drain, that’s what we are doing in Pakistan to Pakistan for Pakistan, by race we are Indian, by region we are Indian by faith we are Muslim which is strongest then all , where does Pakistan goes, which should be stronger then all, Pakistan was created in name of Islam, did we ever try to implement Islam in Pakistan,? we , or, our leaders have used it to prolong their rule as Mohammad Bin Qasim did , Akbir Azam, did Aourangzab did and Zia did ,

Pakistan was a part of Inia but now every body knows we are pakistani our race is indian and faith is Islam so we are Pakistani Indian Muslims,  I think all the three are equally strong for us we can not deny our country we can not deny our race and also our religion,  If we study the history of developed nations every country had to pass through a dark period in which they were taking one thing leaving other and doing different experiments to had a viable and successful systems for their country if we study American History they took 350 years to come at the present position, there were curruption, extremism and  salvery in their society when finally George Washington banned it, In Enland, if we study only Jane Austin novels who was a writer of 14 th  century we can understand what was that society and how powerful church and kingship was,  Pakistan is only a 58 years old country so if we doing experiments in our country its natural, Pakistan have three problems social, economic and political and I am sure one day we will solve all these problems many I won,t see that day in my life but remember that day will come and our kids will see or next generation will, but again we need to work together and unitedly without sectarian bifercation and economic disperity.   Professor Sadeed Masood
