CHAKWAL MAY 3. Chairman Pakistan Ordinance Factories WAH called on District Nazim Chakwal Sardar Ghulam Abbas on Saturday and discussed with him the various ongoing development projects of the area. District Nazim briefed the Chairman about the various development schemes that were started by District Government from the past 1 쩍 years. General Abdul Qayyum speaking on this occasion was of the view that after the induction of new District Government System, the problems of the people is to be solved at the gross root level and by the passage of the time the system will be improved and the people will be more comfortable as this system is to be run by their elected representatives. General Qayyum who belongs to District Chakwal is very keen in the development of the District and during his tenure as a Military Secretary to Prime Minister to Benazir Bhutto, he completed various big developments in District Chakwal during this capacity. General Abdul Qayyum appreciated the performance of District Government Chakwal and hopped that the people of District Chakwal will fell more comfortable in this new system.

CHAKWAL MAY 3. An affectee of Revenue Department Chakwal made a sit in front of District Nazim office on Saturday along with his wife and three children. Malik Irshad Khan resident of Jabbi Shah Dilawar Tehsil Talagang came to Chakwal carrying a banner and a big play card in which the story of his miseries were inscribed on it. The patwari, girdawar and tehsildar Gull Baz Khan was his culprits as they fraudulently transferred his 75 Kanal land to his opponents. He demanded immediate inquiry against the corrupt officials of Revenue Department. District Nazim Sardar Ghulam Abbas reacted sharply and he immediately summoned the officials of Revenue Department and directed them to redress the grievances of Malik Irshad Khan. The necessary documents was immediately handed over to Malik Irshad Khan and he ended the protest and thank District Nazim Chakwal for his kind intervention. The protest was continued for six hours.

CHAKWAL MAY 3. Prime Minister Mir Zafar-Ullah Khan Jamali will visit District Chakwal on 5th May and Prime Minister will attend a marriage ceremony of a daughter of an employee of Prime Minister Secretariat at Village Dheedwal some 15 kilometer from here. Local administration has started the arrangement for the visit of Prime Minister and it is expected that a development package will be announced for District Chakwal on this occasion by the Prime Minister of Pakistan.

CHAKWAL MAY 3. An over loaded pickup fell down in a deep ditch near Village Maira at Chakwal-Bhar Pur road, resulting killing of a 40 years old passenger on the spot while the twelve other received multiple injuries. Pickup No. QAE-1939 coming to Kallar Kahar from Village Maira and there was 40 passengers was loaded on it. During on a sharp turn, the driver lost control over the vehicle and it fell down into 30 feet deep ditch. A passenger Muhammad Iqbal S/O Karam Din died on the spot while the twelve other passenger who received multiple injuries were immediate shifted to Fauji Foundation Hospital Kallar Kahar. Pickup driver Abid Hussain fled away from the scene after the accident.
