Pakistan donates medical equipment to China to help fight against SARS

 

ISLAMABAD, May 21  Pakistan has donated medical equipment and medicines worth $50,000 to Chine to help in its fight against the deadly virus of the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) in China.

 

The announcement was made by Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamli here, Foreign Office sources told Indianz post.

 

The people of Pakistan deeply pained at the outbreak of the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) in China.

 

The epidemic has not only affected Pakistan’s traditional friend China but many countries of the world. The disease has claimed several hundred lives in China.

 

Pakistan admires the Chinese government for taking effective measures to control the disease. The impressive results achieved so far demonstrate the strength and courage of the Chinese people and their wise leadership. Pakistan is confident that China would soon overcome this scourge.

 

As a token of friendship and solidarity, the government of Pakistan has decided to donate medical equipment and medicines worth US $ 50,000/- to China to help in its fight against the deadly virus.

 

A consignment of relief goods will be sent to Beijing shortly
