Young man wins Rs 5m in TV game show

KARACHI: Pakistan’s richest television game show, “Kya aap banein-ge karor-pati?” was formally defeated this week, when a nobody from Karachi won the game’s second biggest prize of Rs 5,000,000, half the largest possible prize.

Asif Ahmed, a computer engineer and a teacher by profession, became the first man to win such a huge prize. The show, which is a franchise of the world-famous television show, “Do you want to be a millionaire?” is hosted by comedian-actor Moin Akhtar. The recording of this episode will be aired on Thursday at 8pm in 126 countries on ARY Digital. The show has so far telecast five episodes. Host Moin Akhtar said between the show that Asif was making him nervous—if he wasn’t joking. During a chat with organizers, Asif he had never even seen the programme.
