CHAKWAL, Sept 11: Additional District and Session
Judge Chakwal Hassan Mabroor Kiani summoned DSP Saddir
Circle Chakwal and Executive Magistrate who conducted
the judicial inquiry of famous CIA Chakwal Police gang
rape case.  The learned Judge after hearing the case
on Thursday summoned then DSP Saddar Circle Chakwal
Sardar Maqsood Hussain and Magistrate first class Dr.
Mobin Aslam who conducted the inquiry in 1995.  The
mother of the victim Nasreen Akhter and her counsel
Syed Ejaz Hussain Hmadani were present at the court.
The court had already recorded the statement of victim
Rozina Shaheen, her mother Nasreen Akhter,
eyewitnesses Khalid Mehmood and Muhammad Ashraf, Women
Medical Officer Dr. Muneera Jalil who examined Rozina
Shaheen at District Headquarter Hospital Chakwal at
that time and Secretary General Press Club Chakwal
Khawaja Babar Salim who published the news item in the
national newspapers and the then District Magistrate
Chakwal ordered a judicial inquiry on the report of
the news items published in the newspapers.  The
learned Judge fixed the next date of hearing on 29th
September.  The Federal Shariat Court directed the
subordinate court to re-trial the case and examined
all the witnesses and court witnesses cited in the
private complaint of Nasreen Akhter.  The subordinate
court dismissed the private complaint without
examining the witnesses provided in the complaint and
Nasreen Akhter filed an appeal before Federal Shariat
Court and the Division Bench after hearing the case
from the last six years remanded the case back to
Session Court and ordered that it should be re-trial.

CHAKWAL, Sept 11: A drunkard Patwari was caught red
handed by Dhumman Police on Thursday.  Patwari Barkat
Muhammad resident of Village Joor was making hue and
cry, Dhumman Police reached on the spot and nabbed
him.  Half bottle of liquor and 32 bore illicit pistol
were also recovered from him.  The patwari was
examined at Rural Health Center Dhumman and it was
confirmed that he was drunked.  Police registered
three separate cases against Patwari and send him in
the judicial lockup.  In the meantime Choa Saiden Shah
Police also arrested an accused Fida Hussain resident
of Village Dulmial and 30-bore pistol was recovered
from him.  Saddar Police Chakwal nabbed an accused
Ghulam Abbas resident of Village Thanil Fathoi and
recovered 30 bore pistol form him.

CHAKWAL, Sept 11: 40 Police constable will be
recruited in District Chakwal during the current
recruitment.  More than 1500 applications were
received to the office of District Police Officer
Chakwal and all the aspirants are called for written
test on 16th September.  DIG Rawalpindi Range, SSP
Chakwal Ch: Muhammad Zaman and two other senior Police
Officers at the rank of SP level will be included in
the board and the board will finalized the
recruitment.  SSP Chakwal Ch: Muhammad Zaman told the
newsmen on Thursday that the recruitments will be
purely on merit and no recommendation from any side
will be entertained. 


 
CHAKWAL, Sept 12: Various irregularities, mall
practices and corruption were un-earthed at Tehsil
Municipal Administration Choa Saiden Shah and Punjab
Government immediately transferred TMO Mian Muhammad
Asghar and an inquiry was ordered against Tehsil Nazim
Choa Saiden Shah Malik Hafeez-ur-Rehman.  This was
stated by former Advisor to Chief Minister Punjab Raja
Munnawar Ahmad in a press conference on Friday at his
residence Kot Rajgan.  Raja Munnawar Ahmad showed
documentary proof of the serious irregularities
committed by Tehsil Nazim Choa Saiden Shah with the
collaboration of TMO.  He alleged that Tehsil Nazim
did not get approval from the Tehsil Council for the
budget of 2001-2002 and it was mandatory and legal
requirement but rupees 5.8 millions for the said year
were spent without getting the approval from the
council.  Raja Munnawar Ahmad further told that EDO
Finance District Chakwal held an inquiry against the
alleged corruption and in his inquiry report submitted
to District Nazim Chakwal it was confirmed that
various developed schemes that were present in the
papers but they were not exist physically on the
ground.  Raja Munnawar Ahmad on this occasion also
produced various documents and attested copy of the
fake meeting of Tehsil Council Choa Saiden Shah and no
signature from any members of the house were present
on that document which according to the TMA this was
the budget session.  However Tehsil Nazim Choa Saiden
Shah Malik Hafeez-ur-Rehman dismissed the allegations
and termed it a political statement and he demanded
from Punjab Government that the transfer of TMO Mian
Muhammad Asghar should be cancelled forthwith.  Raja
Munnawar Ahmad was of the view that it is necessary
that TMO should be removed form this office so that in
the inquiry some further startling corruption deeds of
TMA will be exposed.

CHAKWAL, Sept 12: The Police officers of Sub
Inspector ranks are dominating in the eleven Police
Stations of District Chakwal and six out of these
Police Stations were run by Sub Inspectors while the
remaining five were headed by Inspectors.  Four
Inspector rank officers were transferred to District
Police Line Chakwal and they were relaxing here.
According to a survey conducted by this correspondence
these four Police Inspectors were appointed as SHO’s
in different Police Stations but they did not deliver
and due to un-efficiency they were packed to District
Police Line.  Inspector Nadir Khan, Inspector Azhar
Shabbir, and Inspector Ch: Muneer Ahmad and Inspector
Mazhar-ul-Haq were among this list.  Those Sub
Inspector who were running the six Police Stations are
Sub Inspector Malik Abdul Rauf at Lawa, Sub Inspector
Raja Shakeel of Saddar Talangang, Sub Inspector Malik
Zameer of City Talagang, Sub Inspector Zahoor Ahmad at
Neela, Sub Inspector Malik Mehmood at Dhudial and Sub
Inspector Khurshid Baig at Choa Saiden Shah while the
remaining five Police Stations were headed by
Inspector level Police Officers and they are Inspector
Khan Zaman at City Chakwal, Inspector Asar Ali at
Saddar Chakwal, Inspector Maik Shahid Hussain at
Kallar Kahar and Inspector Malik Sharif at Police
Station Tamman.  The strength of Police officials in
District Chakwal is not according to the requirement,
however 40 Police constable will be recruited in the
coming month and they will be posted out in District
Chakwal after the completion of training.
