CHAKWAL SEPTEMBER, 5. Torrential rain on Friday
morning made the weather very pleasant however the
people of low-lying area faced great hardships.  The
weather was very hot and humid from the past few days.
This rain made a sigh of relief to the people who
were worried due to this weather condition.  The rain
started at 0300 hours and it remains continued for six
hours causing problems to the people of Hospital Road,
Jhelum Road and mohallah Bhattian.  The supply of
electricity also broke down in various areas. 

CHAKWAL SEPTEMBER, 5. Punjab Government release the
funds to District Public Safety Commission Chakwal and
this newly created institution remained paralyze for
the last few months due to shortage of funds.  This
important institution which is suppose to be the check
and balance on District Police Chakwal even not had
the stationery funds to function this institution.
Punjab Government provided a Suzuki vehicle but there
were no funds even for this vehicle to run it.  Punjab
Government now released rupees 1.1 million to this
office and now this institution will start its
functioning.  The Secretary of the District Public
Safety Commission Chakwal Mr. Nasrullah Khan told the
newsmen on Friday that the application received
against the Police Department is under process and the
people of District will get relief from the District
Public Safety Commission Chakwal as its working will
be in full speed.  The Chairman of District Public
Safety Commission Chakwal Air Vice Marshall 짰 Khuda
Dad Khan remained un-active due to shortage of this
funds as he was elected chairman some six months ago
and this institution has not provided any relief to
even a single person yet, therefore people are also
expecting a very little from this institution and it
was told that after the induction of this institution
the high handedness of Police Department will be
checked and the people of District Chakwal are still
waiting any miracle and relief against the Police
Department. 

CHAKWAL SEPTEMBER, 5. The electricity of 14 years old
Iqbal Library Chakwal was not restored and this
institution becomes stands still as the administration
had stopped the purchasing of National newspapers.
Under the new system Iqbal Library Chakwal went under
the control of EDO Education Chakwal and previously it
was run by Municipal Committee Chakwal and this
Library was established in 1990 with the cost of more
than rupees 1 million and than half million rupees
grant was released by Punjab Library Departments.  The
people were benefited from this Library daily but now
its electricity was disconnected due to non-payment of
bill and the purchase of newspapers was also stopped
due to lack of funds.  The pictures Library is
situated in Municipal Garden Chakwal with a beautiful
atmosphere but now from the last 30 days it is showing
deserted look and the staff of the Library looking
forward to the Education Department who had promised
to give a budget very soon and the electricity will be
restored but this assurance is still verbal one and
the people of Chakwal city is looking forward for the
smooth functioning of this Iqbal Library which is
symbol of literary and educational activity.
